Established in 1987.
Jeffrey Shalmi has worked in the workers’ compensation field as a licensed California lawyer since 1988 as a partner in his own firm and as a member of various prestigious workers’ compensation defense firms in the Los Angeles County area. Jeff has saved hundreds of clients such as the County of Los Angeles, Travelers Insurance, Zurich Insurance and Kaiser Permanente millions of dollars in benefit payments, costs and expenses through his hard work and perseverance and his detailed and thorough knowledge of the workers’ compensation system as both an in house and panel attorney. His experience includes over 1,500 mandatory settlement conferences, 2000 status conferences, 500 depositions, 150 expert depositions, dozens of formal and informal mediations and 100 trials with a successful track record.

Business Owner
Jeffrey Shalmi graduated from the State University of New York in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and honors in English at the age of 20. He attended Indiana State University and obtained his Masters Degree in Language Arts & Literature as a University Fellow and Graduate Assistant and taught college English from 1977 through 1981. He entered Pepperdine Law School in 1982 with the prestigious President’s Scholarship and Dean’s Scholarship. While there he participated in moot court, legal research & writing, trial practice, labor arbitration, a summer internship in evidence law, Lexus computer research trainer and a judicial clerkship with Judge Rothman at the Santa Monica Superior Court. While in law school and for two years after completing his J.D. degree from Pepperdine, Jeff was employed by Murphy and Gold in Woodland Hills in general civil litigation. After obtaining his bar license in 1987, he partnered with Albert Vieri, Esq. in workers’ compensation through 1997.
