Kristin’s Kiddieland

I can’t say enough good things about this pre school. My daughter has been attending here for almost a year now and we are so happy with the facility and staff. Kristin runs a wonderful place that is caring, fun and educational.
The Christmas, birthday, Mother’s and Father’s Day parties are super cute and fun for the kids and parents.
Lunch and snacks are provided which is so convenient and tuition is totally reasonable.
My family and I love it!

We started here when my daughter was 21 months, November 2014. Our daughter was behind in speech and her Neurologist suggested we put her in preschool just a few days a week. We went from 3 days a week to now 5 days a week, she enjoys herself and learns from the other kids and we have no doubt that when she graduates from Kristin’s Kiddieland and goes into Kindergarten that she will be ahead of the other kids that haven’t we to «school» before. What I love about her school: it is very structured like a school NOT a daycare! They give you a little piece of paper of what songs your child led the class in, what letter she picked out and what she ate that day, it’s really great because then I go over it with her in the car! They also do a TON of really cute art and crafts, so many that there is no room on my fridge! Did I mention I don’t have to pack a lunch OR snack??? They provide that too. Lauren only goes ½ days but the owner Kristin is so flexible it makes her school that much better. I can always text her and ask her if Lauren has stopped crying and she even sends pictures of her to my phone!!! Kristin goes out of her way to make us moms/​dads KNOW are children are happy and safe while in her care! I recommend her school to everyone I meet!!! We love it and have another 3 years to go

My 3.5 year old daughter loves Kristen’s. We’ve tried a number of places in Aliso Viejo before deciding on here.
The program is fantastic, educational and fun. The building is clean and organized and there are lots of options for children. My daughter always comes home with new knowledge and she’s excited to return.
Kristen is quick to respond when I message her or call and she is always attuned to my needs as well as my daughter’s.
She has a great way with children who are potty training and her love for her career is obvious.
I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Please read Christine B’s review, she’s my wife btw. To summarize her review I would say Ms. Kristin and Kiddieland is a great school, I know it cliché but here’s why.
1. My son’s are teaching me stuff they learn in school, which says a lot because if a preschooler can teach what they learned it means they are truly absorbing the information being taught
2. Teachers are friendly and care about your kids, Ms. Erika asked us why our son was feeling down one day and expressed real concern
3. Large area for kids to play and socialize
4. School events: sleepovers are awesome if you need a break from your kids, I know I do
5. School is ran professionally and organized, I’m a Quality Engineer so I would know
Also, ignore Jaz H’s review. There perspective on their situation is totally wrong and their basing their 1 star review on ONE misunderstanding instead of the education of their kid. Ms. Kristin gave all the parents the same notice at the same time, the ownership is on all parents. Jaz H has only themselves to blame for their 1 star review. They should 1 star themselves haha!

My family LOVES Kristin’s Kiddieland. My son recently graduated (he was at the same ceremony Jaz H. wrote about… but more on that later) from there and my other son is currently enrolled. They offer full and part time care and will work with you on your schedule. My son is enrolled 3 full days a week from 7:30am — 5:30pm. Earlier drop off is available at an additional cost. They potty trained my son at no additional cost. Ms. Kristin has had her own business for years. Her previous students have gone into the educational field and come back and teach for her. There are two other full time teachers: Mr. Harry and Ms. Erica. My kids love all of them! My son doesn’t want to leave when I pick him up! They are fed nutritious lunches and my very picky eater finally eats food with color! They go on field trips about once a month. Their past field trip locations were: pretend city, scooter’s jungle, big air trampoline park, zoomars, tanaka farms, etc. In the summer they have pool days. Every couple of months they offer a party/​sleepover at the facility. My kids and my husband and I LOVE this. They have fun and we get a date night. My sons have learned so much and I can see this with the daily progress report given to me at the end of the day. My 3 year old likes to talk about the Presidents of the United States and sing all of the songs he has learned. Kristin provides all parents with a song book and flash cards for the Presidents, Spanish words, and sign language words. Kristin gives you her personal cell number and she’s very responsive. Their «outdoor» play area is actually indoors which I love. My son plays in a controlled climate and still gets the outdoor play experience. He likes to ride the bikes, play in the sandbox, and play basketball and soccer. The teachers truly care for your child. I can go on and on about how grateful I am to have found this gem!
I don’t normally comment about others’ reviews since everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I can’t keep quiet about this. My now Kindergartner (who is doing very well in Kindergarten btw!) graduated in the same ceremony Jaz H. is referring to. Let me set the stage for you. We were very excited and me being a sentimental sap, sad, to see our eldest graduate preschool. Along with my small family, my parents and sister came. Dinner was provided at no additional cost. About halfway through the ceremony, as parents were smiling, laughing, and taking pictures of their kids, a couple stands up and asks why their son wasn’t included in the ceremony since he was leaving preschool and going to transitional Kindergarten. The father verbally attacked Kristin and said this whole situation was so «bad». Kristin was professional in her explanation and even tried to offer a solution by including their son in the rest of the ceremony but they called her «horrible» and stormed out. They also didn’t RSVP for the graduation event. The RSVP slip was handed out to every parent so I’m not sure how they didn’t get theirs. As an adult there are ways to conduct conflict resolution, and this wasn’t a good way. Everyone was SHOCKED to hear this even the police officer on site (he was there to hand out stickers and let the graduates sit in his car). The ceremony was for about 10 children that were going to Kindergarten, and by public school standards, they need to be 5 at a certain time. So IMO, he wasn’t EXCLUDED, he was just going to a different school. If I got a graduation ceremony for every time I switched schools I’d have 3 more diplomas by now. I was and still very upset that they would do this in the middle of the ceremony and to a very sweet woman that goes above and beyond to care for my son. Kristin and the teachers put a lot of work into this event. My memory of my son’s preschool graduation will be forever tainted with this negative display of «adult» human behavior.
Ok, enough of the negativity. We love this school and the teachers. Enroll your loved one here!

Our soon to be 5 years old son attended Kristin’s Kiddieland school for over a year and he recently stopped going at the end of August so that he could attend Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in September 2014. We were looking forward to attending his preschool graduation ceremony, but to our disappointment we found out on the graduation night that our son was not going to be part of the graduation ceremony. In front of all the parents, we confronted Ms Kristen (owner of preschool) about our son clearly graduating from her school, but how come he was left out? Her response was that he is not going to attend kindergarten; therefore, he is not qualified to be part of the graduation ceremony. Any graduation ceremony means that you attended the program and when the course is completed or when you are ready to move to the next level, the school will have a graduation ceremony. Our son missed the cut off deadline to attend kindergarten, has to attend TK instead and now he does not deserve a preschool graduation. The message that Ms Kristin sends to the parents is that kids who have late birthday and are not turning 5 by September 1 for kindergarten deadline do not deserve a preschool graduation. Are our kids to blame for being born in the wrong months? Is it their fault for having to attend TK; therefore, not allowed to participate in preschool graduation? Later that night, we talked to the other parents who were also there and they told us that Ms Kristen explained to them that she did not receive any RSVP from us to participate in the graduation ceremony. This was inaccurate as we never received any such request from her. Ms Kristen also added that she was not aware that our son was going to TK. We emailed Ms Kristen back in July 2014 to give notice that our son will be attending TK; therefore, will not be attending her school anymore effectively end of August 2014. Ms Kristin has lost her credibility with our family. We do hope she will change her graduation program to include kids who have late birthday and not make them feel left out.

My daughter (3 years old) loves this preschool. She looks forward to going every day and I have to say, I’m incredibly impressed with everything she has learned!!! The staff are great and very friendly. They go on field trips which I love, and the lunches served are healthy and my picky daughter eats them! I get a progress report daily showing what she ate, what she learned, and letting me know anything coming up the next day or week.

I enrolled my daughter at the beginning of the Summer and I love it! She has grown so much in the past few months. Out of the blue my 2 ½ year old will say «That’s caliente!». I love it. She knows all of her colors in english & spanish, has learned so many songs and can count to 17! We are suddenly relocating and I am so sad to pull her out. Miss. Kristin has been so great at communicating with us and easing Reese into preschool.
