History

Established in 2000.

I have been in the Southern California window treatment business for over 15 years. Working initially with an interior designer, I really enjoyed going into homes and meeting with clients. I loved designing window coverings and as it turned out I was quite good at it. :) As time went by, I wanted to buy shutters for my own home. In the city where I lived, (Redondo Beach) I called 5 businesses and only 2 answered. Wa-​lah! It took 5 days to receive a quote and even then — it wasn’t what I asked for…! A new career was born. I owned my own blind and shade company in the South Bay area of Los Angeles for about 9 years. 2009 happened and I closed up, working for other companies for several years. We have since relocated to Aliso Viejo (nearly 10 years ago now!) and I have reopened my company serving South Orange County and the surrounding areas. I hope to meet you soon!

My name is Gina Martucci and I am the owner of Ocean Custom Drapery, Blinds, Shutters & Shades. I started my business in the Redondo Beach area where I lived for some 20 years. I currently reside in South Orange County with my husband and son. I absolutely love assisting people find the right window covering or drapery for their homes. I feel very blessed to have a job where I meet new and fun people every day. As you can tell — I am a people person! I enjoy seeing what people have done to their homes and get great satisfaction when the job is completed and everyone is so very happy with my work. I also enjoy the stock market and am in private trading classes for about 4 years now. (My retirement plan!)

Gina was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is very professional, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant. Even though we ended up going with another company because they were having a sale at the time, Gina encouraged us to go with the other company because we were getting an unbeatable price. In fact, Gina even double checked for us to make sure we were getting quality products from the other company. Gina Martucci, owner of Ocean Custom Drapery, did a fantastic job of helping me choose just the right window treatments for my remodel giving me the look I was going for and within budget. Gina is a real pro. Beyond the quality products she represents, she delivers a level of customer service that will blow you away! She returns calls promptly, works with great installers, and is there for you after the sale. I know because I needed her. One of the treatments was too short. Not by a lot so it would have been easy for Gina to try to talk me into being ok with it. She didn’t. Instead, she came back within 48 hours, agreed it was not what she intended, remeasured, and ordered me a new blind. She’s my new go-​to source for window treatments and I’m happy to recommend her to you.

I had the pleasure of working with Gina on behalf of my boss. My boss requested I find her blinds for her new home which consisted of 37 Windows many of which were oversized. She wanted the blinds installed in two weeks which was right around Christmas. I called every single blind installer in OC. Every single person told me good luck, apparently I was asking the impossible.
Well, Gina made it happen. Gave a reasonable estimate and was able to fulfill my bosses requests. She came to the office gave a quote and in two weeks the custom drapes were up. My boss was pleased and I thought the drapes looked amazing. I couldn’t believe Gina was able to pull it off with such short notice.

I didn’t know it was possible to get custom blinds so easily and for so much less than I expected. Gina came to my house, offered so many beautiful suggestions, measured, it was ordered and installed in no time. I now have beautiful remote controlled blinds that look amazing! So easy to use and keeps out so much heat! The whole process was so enjoyable. Installation was a dream, he arrived on time, was very friendly and showed me how to use my new remote, installed 3 Windows in under 30 min! And cleaned up like he was never there. I can’t recommend ocean custom drapery enough, in fact I’m deciding which windows I’m upgrading next right now!

Wow! Do my brand new shutters look amazingly beautiful!!! We are beyond happy and have waited a very long time for just the right window coverings.
