I cannot say enough great things about this new La Madeleine location. It’s spacious and absolutely lovely. Of course it has the consistently wonderful cuisine you expect from La Mad. The star at this location is the service… Everyone, day in and day out, is just happy to be there and makes everyone at the restaurant feel welcome and valued. Everyone has a smile on their face, willing to help and go out of their way for the customer. Refreshing!

I love La Madeleine. But this location has severe management issues. At the Plano location I get in line, order my chicken Caesar salad/cup of soup and I’m eating in 5 minutes. Here I order the same thing and wait 30 minutes. They have a flawed system here and they need to change it to the one the rest use. I’ll just go to Plano from now on.

I love this new location. It use to be a large restaurant so this location is way bigger than most. Love coming here for breakfast and on the go.

We have given this place the benefit of the doubt way so many times. First time we went in and the ordering system is just not what we are used to at la Madeleine normally everywhere else. The service : Slowwww as hell, and when we got our orders(2 grilled chicken Ceasar salad) they arrived one at a time. And when we looked at the large and the regular salads sizes — they were both the same exact size . We asked for a manager and told him that there might be a mistake… He said: so you want more than this in your plate? No, just get me what we paid for. He lacks on everything — experience, customer service and most of all … Trusting the feedback from customers … He is ready to argue. Today, we happened to be back with our kids … An old stumbled on a floor mat they had at their entry door … She took a very hard fall and landed on her back and had a huge bump on the back of her head after hitting the outside stone. We rushed to help her and the staff rushed to get that same manager… He won’t come till I went calling for him and he waved at us to wait as he had some more orders to get out to clients … Are you freaking kidding me ??? I said you have no respect to your clients who paid and ate but you have more respect for the ones who are waiting on their food when you have an emergency in your establishment ??? He is the worst manager to run a la Madeleine … We are so disappointed in the level of NO quality this location has and service !!! Forget that . We will go back to Frisco or Plano. we live one mile down from this location but wouldn’t mind the drive to other better locations. So sad, we’ve been waiting for this to open for so long and turned out to be a bust.

I have always enjoyed La Madeleine, and now they have a location close to home. This place used to be Mimi’s café, and I think they did a great job renovating it. They have outdoor seating, and the inside is brighter and bigger than any other La Madeleine I have been to. They food is always great like the others, and they are open at 06:30 am

I’ll start by saying that I love La Madeleine’s food, but the service at this location is unacceptable. I realize this location is new, and I’m hoping that they will«get into their groove» soon. I have been 3 times since they opened, and unfortunately, all 3 visits were poor. Most recently I went in to place a to go order. It look over 40 minutes, then it was wrong by leaving off 3 items. I checked and made them correct it. However, I watched as dine in customers were immediately given the same breakfast items when going through the line that I ordered to go. They had their food hot and ready immediately while I got to wait 40 minutes and watch all the dine in patrons who came in after me eat the same items I ordered. I complained to the manager that my to go order should have the same priority as dine in guests. They further insulted me by saying that what I was observing was not accurate. YESITWAS. There were no less than 5 other parties waiting for to go orders with me, and we were all talking about how unacceptable their service was and how they were treating us like chopped liver because we were not dining in. The food here is great, the prices are a bit high, but the service is horrible. La Madeleine, I am rooting for you to turn this around quickly. I live around the corner from this location, and I eat here(different location near my office) every week. I will be a loyal customer if you get your act together!

First of all, I was so happy to found out La Madeline was coming to Allen. I finally had a chance to visit today and I was disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the food, but what I don’t like about was the new setting that they are trying out. At this location, you just order your food and pay, you don’t take your food with you instead the staffs will bring your orders to you. Ok, the cashier will give you an electronic device, and when your food is ready, that device will vibrate. The problem I have is why can’t this location do the same way like all other La Madeline restaurants?! The customers will pick up a tray, carry their own food instead waiting for the staffs to delivery food to them. When I received my order today it wasn’t hot because they were too slow to bring me the food. :(La Madeline, please change for the better not the worse.

I’ve wanted a La Madeleine in Allen for the longest time. I’ve been to the one in Frisco, but only out of convenience. When I saw the one in Allen was opening, I couldn’t wait to have lunch there. I think all locations pretty much feel the same, very comfy and a friendly staff. When you walk in, you order at the counter, then take a number to your seat. I ordered the Crêpe and walked over to the soda machine where I filled my cup with water. The place is clean, the soda station was clean. I sat down and within minutes, my order was ready. The crêpe I ordered is called the Chicken Crêpe Riviera. Now I’ll be honest, I’ve been back twice since my first visit and I typically order the same thing every time. They manage to get this Crêpe made to perfection every time. When I cut my fork into my crêpe and it dissolves into the food like a hot knife in butter, I’m happier than a bird with a french fry. Now I won’t bother getting into detail about every single bite, even though I could since it’s THAT good, but I will tell you, the do what they do very well. Here’s what I love about this place. You walk in L Madeleine and you are going to always enjoy a great place to have a nice meal with the family, that consistently cooks your meal to perfection. There’s plenty of time to hang around just to sit and talk, and the staff is friendly.

Adorable new location! This one replaced the one right down the road from me in McKinney, which the closing of broke my very heart. I was resistant to try this new one for this very reason, but I was driving past it and decided I need some potato gallette in my mouth. It’s right off of 75 where the Mimi’s Café used to be located. It’s a uniqe set-up on the inside compared to the other La Madeleine locations, but they have a greeter at the entrance to help explain things to you. Food is excellent and on par with typical La Madaleine: fresh, hot, made-to-order. This visit, I got the fruit parfait and the potato gallette with a mango iced tea. The fruit parfait is small, but absolutely worth it. La Madeleine is not know for their cheap prices, since they aren’t cheap in any sense, but they are absolutely worth the price. Fresh, amazing fruit, delicious granola and rich yogurt layers.

I would give two and a half stars, but since there is no option for that, I will round up. First of all, my friend and I eat at La Madeleine all the time. We are long time fans of the food and service. The service at this location is not very good. They are disorganized and keep us waiting in line at the salad station only to then tell us that all orders are taken at the register. Once we ordered, we couldn’t find a dry table to sit at. So we wiped one down ourselves and when the server came out with the food, she seemed annoyed and rushed us to finish drying the tables faster so she can place the food down and move on with her super important job. In comparison to other locations, the food here was okay. We ordered the caesar salad, chicken friand, duet with chicken pesto and pasta salad, tomato basil soup and cream cheese croissant. The croutons in the salad were stale. When I ordered some food to go for my husband, I was about to get napkins when this lady cut in front of me and started getting herself utensils. She was talking to the register person and I had seen her come out from the kitchen so I assume she works at this location. I said to my friend that I still need to get some napkins and the next thing I know, the lady who had cut in front of me sticks her fingers in the napkin dispenser and pulls out a stack of napkins and tosses it in front of me. How rude. I wouldn’t come eat here again unless it’s just out of convenience.

They have open this location last week, I have always liked their pastries and bread, I had a chance to visit them for lunch on October 13th. ordering system at this location is slightly different. Restaurant was very clean but it was very warm I think that air conditioner was not working. Service was very prompt my food was delivered to my table within minutes after I placed my order. Everything tastes good as always, Manager was on floor greeting guest, came to our table and asked how was everything?

A welcome addition to the neighborhood Try the hot sandwiches and Caesar salad. And, the quiche Lorraine is quite tasty. People seem to linger here after finishing their meals.

The restaurant relocated from McKinney and opened yesterday, 8 October 2015. The methodology for ordering food has changed from the other La Madeleine restaurants I have visited. In this instantiation of the restaurant chain, ordering of all food is completed by standing in line for one of two cash registers. No longer does a patron choose their salad or soup while waiting to order an entrée. Several items that we were planning on ordering were no longer on the menu. But, menu items to have to change and evolve. Our items were brought to our table after about 20 minutes. Well, not exactly what we ordered. The bowl of soup that was ordered was replaced with a cup of soup. When this was pointed out to the server he reported that he would have to check with the manager. The server reappeared with another cup of soup saying that the manager told him to just provide another cup of soup because they were out of bowls The food when delivered was as tasty as the former location. I asked for Dijon mustard for my Croque Monsieur. The condiment never arrived. A new location with new staff will take some time to gain the necessary experience for a flawless dining experience. I’ll give them that time and try the restaurant again in a few weeks.

This location opened this morning Ordered their classic country French breakfast and you would think they would have trained staff to get orders right. No so much Eggs were not cooked to order. Left off their potato galette from plate, so they had to bring it on a separate plate and it was like warm. So when they replace the eggs and bacon, also luke warm, by the time that came out the potato. galette was cold but they didn’t offer to replace it. Although first day open, one would think they would be super concerned how the food goes out to the table, evidently not here
