Never again.
Made an appointment for a carpet stretch — had a representative come out and give me an estimate. The techs arrived on time for the 1pm appointment and got to work. Around 3pm they stopped and told me they would need to come back to finish the job the next day as they «don’t work past 4.» Mind you, this was on a Thursday — I was told, not asked, that they would be back in the morning. I made arrangements to take the day off from work for something that frankly is not my problem. Sensing a losing battle, I agreed that arriving at 10:30 — 11am the following day would be acceptable.
Fast forward to 11:30am the next morning… nobody had showed up yet. I called and was informed they would be at my home «in an hour.» I said I was told that they would arrive between 10:30 and 11, to which the reply was «I don’t know why they told you that, we have other appointments.» I explained that I had arranged to take another day off of work because their staff did not want to stay and finish the job on the scheduled day, to which I received no apology for the confusion nor inconvenience. I was told they would arrive within the hour. Fast forward to 1pm, I called again, and was told they were en route. They arrived at about 1:20pm (NEARLY 3 HOURS PAST THE AGREED UPON TIME!). I asked the tech what happened with the agreed upon time to which he told me the representative who told me that had no authority to do so. Everyone was aware of what I was told, but nobody opted to pick up the phone and let me know this was not the case.
In addition, 2 of the 3 techs left large chunks of cut carpet and 3 rounds of vacuuming for the remainder of the little pieces. When we questioned this, we were told «it would be difficult for the techs to clean this up.» If I’m paying this amount of money to a rug company to fix my rug, I would expect for them to at least make an attempt to clean up after themselves. We also were not offered any additional explanation or apology for this.
Total disappointment.
