Established in 1999.

Markus Nelson, the founder of Blue Light Labs started this small web design and internet marketing company in late 1999 after working for a satellite based ISP service that catered to third world countries. Blue Light Labs has now developed into a small but powerful think tank of developers and web designers that stand as dedicated consultants and liaisons for their clients.

Business Owner

Markus Nelson was born and raised in Atlanta and is now a proud father of both a company (Blue Light Labs Multimedia) and a daughter (Saturday Kate Nelson). Markus went to The Savannah Collage of Art and Design where he received his degree in computer animation. After working for several IT companies out of collage he decided that being part of the corporate world was a bit overwhelming and under his skill set.

With a $ 200 dollar budget and a basement, he started Blue Light Labs in January of 2000 where he taught himself web development and marketing skills. After many networking group meetings and experiments with gorilla marketing techniques, Blue Light Labs evolved into a web developer’s think tank.

Markus believes that good communication, close customer relationships and intense project brainstorming are the most important disciplines in delivering quality web-​based products. Creating tight liaisons with other companies and innovative people has opened the door for me.
