Goldilocks & The Hound Hikers

I can’t say enough good things about Goldilocks and the Hound Hikers. We have used their services several times now and have never had a problem. Our sitter kept notes for us on how each day went. He even went so far as to change the sheets on the bed before we got home! They are completely professional. I can’t think of a single complaint.

Jaime has been with us for 1.5 years for daily walks. We have 3 dogs and one needs special attention. She has worked with him and developed special methods to keep him as calm as possible but more than that his behavior has changed for the better overall. She walks or will play special games with each dog when it is too hot to walk. Also she has started swim lessons and this is great treat for them. Honest, conscientious, and reliable. She has my highest recommendation.

Jamie definitely deserves a great review. She was totally professional, reliable, and personable. We went through several pet sitters before we found her and she was perfect. I felt very comfortable leaving the safety of my pet and my home in her hands. I can’t thank her enough.

I cannot recommend Jaime Rosier’s business highly enough. She is the best thing that has happened to my dogs and I know she loves them as much as I do. First off, not only does she take my dogs on hikes, walks, and visits to the dog park, she also arranges play dates for them. Secondly, she has invested a lot of time working with my Chow who was traumatized as a puppy and needed help with socialization. She patiently introduced him to new experiences so that he could become less stressed and more comfortable in a wide range of situations. Third, she improved the quality of my 10 year old Akita’s life, by suggesting we consider pet chiropractic after a traditional vet encouraged us to have extremely invasive back surgery. Regular adjustments took care of the problem and my Akita didn’t have to recover from major surgery. Fourth, Jaime has been a wonderful resource for questions about dog nutrition and dog health (she’s worked as a vet tech). These are only a few examples of how wonderful Jaime is. She has been a blessing to me and my pets, as I’m sure she’d be to anyone who works with her.

She leaves notes on what happened, and how she hangs out with them… and even reads to them as she’s petting them. She sometimes will even post pictures of her playing with them on my facebook which warms my heart especially if I’ve been gone a while and miss them.

What do you do when you want to get away but the thought of relaxing while your cats are in some strange kennel locked in cages seems unconscionable? The best possible scenario (especially for cats) is to leave them safe and sound at home where they are the most comfy. I was referred to Hound Hikers by a few friends who had nothing but great things to say about the owner, Jaime, and I soon learned why. Now, several years later she’s my go to gal. She is an absolute lover and nurturer of all animals and they can sense it. Even my most temper-​mental guy Freddie loves her and that speaks volumes to me since he hisses then hides from everyone except my husband and I. I can leave town and feel totally and completely confident my guys are being loved. She is insured and she also has an extensive checklist so that all questions are already answered in case of any emergency. This is not just a job for her, she loves what she does and it shows through and through. She is thoughtful and reliable and sends progress reports and texts without even having to ask. If you need a pet sitter or dog walker or even advice about health issues, look no further, you’ve found the best person for the job!

One of the big advantages of having someone come to your house to take care of your pets is that they don’t have to travel to a kennel where they have to get used to a temporary new environment. I came home and my cat was happy and glad to see me. No stress, no drama, just a happy boy.
When Jamie came up to return the key, Ozzie came out to greet her, and before I know it, they’re on the floor together. Funny thing was, Jamie looked as happy to see my cat as he was to see her. With Jamie, it’s more than a job. She’s totally committed to what she does.
Other advantages include having the mail and newspapers picked up, and the lights rotated on and off.
I highly recommend Jamie and will be using her services again.
