This is the best dental office I’ve been to in my short life, which may or may not be saying a lot. It’s located on Maitland Avenue between 436 and Maitland Blvd around many other medical-oriented offices. The building is pretty unassuming, but inside it’s well-lit and well-kept, with a large fishtank in the waiting room(what’s with dental offices and fish tanks?). In the back there are walls between all the chairs, so you never end up awkwardly watching other people have their teeth cleaned, and most of the chairs face a small garden with a little waterfall. It’s a nice touch and makes the situation a little less stressful. I keep returning because a) they accept my insurance, and b) the staff are very friendly and relaxed. I have yet to meet someone working there who’s unpleasant or rude, which is especially appreciated since they can tell I don’t floss daily. I think they keep notes about each patient pertaining to what we’re doing with our lives because on my most recent visit I was asked if I’d graduated from college and what I was doing now(previously I had been in my final semester). It’s a little creepy, not gonna lie, but i appreciate the personal touch. The doctors are all knowledgable and fine, but it’s the hygenists who shine, though not as much as my pearly whites. But in all seriousness, the hygenists have all been friendly, thorough, and efficient, not to mention they check in to make sure they’re not hurting you, which is great. Jill is who I usually go see now and she’s great. My last selling point is that they don’t recommend unnecessary services or take things too seriously. A developing problem is not treated like your teeth are about to fall out, and they strike a good balance between recognizing there is a problem to be fixed but not freaking out. Overall I am starting to enjoy the dentist because of this place and am more motivated to take care of my teeth. Funny how that works.
