Majesty Building

You always notice this place when you drive by on I4. I didn’t realize for quite some time that is just an empty unfinished shell. It looks good until you closely examine it. It should probably be demolished, and that will require a great expense on someone’s part, hopefully not us tax payers.

Why oh why did they start this building if they had no intention of finishing it??? I mean come on… If you’ve got no use for it tear it down…
I’d be very shocked if it ever gets finished… At this point I think it’s kind of a lost cause.

Many people refer to this as the «I-​4 Eyesore.» For a decade now this half beautiful building as been sitting there unfinished. I call it half beautiful because if you’re looking at it as you’re traveling on I-​4 west, it’s beautiful. If you’re seeing it traveling on I-​4 east, it’s unfinished an truly an eyesore!
We travel the i-​4 route quite often and this building always lets me know that we’ve basically hit Orlando. Technically, it sits in Altamonte Springs, but hey, in my book, Altamonte Springs is Orlando (or at least an extension thereof).
Will they ever get around to finishing it? Who the hell knows. I do always make a point to look as we pass it to see if there are any workers around. Nope, there never area.
I wonder if it’ll sit there for yet another decade as basically just a landmark to let us know when we’re entering O-​Town?!
