Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Best Burger of all. If you like lots of meat order the triple patty. Fry’s are thin and crispy if you don’t like shoestring style try the onion rings. Custard is the icing on the cake. Eaten here 30+ times since opened and service is fast an accurate every time. I have liked Freddy’s for over 8 years in other places.

Good burgers and I love the custard. However they are extremely slow. I have visited this location both inside dining and drive thru it is slow either way. I understand they have only been open a few months but it is inexcusable for how slow they are.
Treat this place like a average sit down restaurant because it certainly does not fit in the fast food category.

Great burger place… pretty fast, and the concretes are great! Burgers are a bit on the small side, and no matter how many you order you will want more fries! Workers were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic! Get a double w cheese. The meat is tenderized and pounded out thin, so get a double meat burger. Soooo delicious! Had my first yesterday going back tomorrow.

Well, I finally tried this place. As other reviewers, I fail to see what all the excitement is about. The burger had a single beef patty so thin it was crispy-​looks almost deep fried. I could not appreciate any taste. As a burger, leaves much to be desired, and the lines and price doesn’t make it a good choice in my opinion.
As others said, you can do better for a burger at other local fast food chains-​even McDonald’s!

Well we all got a single burger. I guess this is the burgers they serve in California. I would recommend going across the street to Blue Sky or going to Whataburger. I will attach a picture of the Swiss cheese patty.

A good burger but it’s not for me the fries are terrible I don’t see all the excitement.

I could have had a better hamburger down the st at Burger King! Hamburger was cold and small. I ordered onion rings and received four! You will not last long in Amarillo. Never again…

So happy to finally have a good burger place in Amarillo. Freddy’s has good food, excellent custard and the fries are the best in Amarillo. The only negative is the noise level. It’s very noisy inside and hard to carry on a conversation. Welcome to Amarillo Freddy’s!

The place just opened and it has been packed everyday. I think the food is decent since its a chain fast food place. Although a little pricy. The concrete is pretty good. Very creamy. The fries are very skinny which I think is not bad either. Overall a good place to go if you want to grab a burger and don’t have a lot of time. But since they are so full now. Be prepared to wait a little.

Well, there were three entrances and when we went inside, it was unclear at first where the lines were as they were among the tables. Once we got to the counter, it was fairly easy to order. The menu is clear and easy to see.
It was hard to hear as the sound bounces off the walls and floors. There weren’t a lot of people but with the volume of the music made it hard to concentrate or have conversation. It also made it very hard to order as we couldn’t hear the girl taking our order and we had to practically holler at her and repeat our selfs several times.
The décor is like a new ’50’s style. Cute and clean.
Bathrooms were clean.
Hot dog, hamburgers and chicken pieces were very good! French fries are shoestring and fried just exactly right.
Mini sundae was pretty big. Custard delicious, but thrown together rather sloppy. I think they forgot the whip cream and cherry. I would forgive them because it tasted so good and because they have just opened and training.
I will come back as long as the food tastes so good and they keep the place clean.
If it weren’t for the noise levels is give it five stars.

Best hamburger in Amarillo. I’m so happy we finally have one!!! I will never eat hamburgers anywhere else. They just opened Sunday and I’ve already eaten it twice! Love it
