Castle Inn and Suites

Pretty good hotel for the price. This hotel was about a fourth of the price of the «official» Disneyland hotels. Depending on how fast you walk and the timing of the 2 traffic lights, it is about 8 – 12 minutes away. There is a strip mall with some okay pizza next door that is a nice (cheap!) break from park food. It is definitely close enough to come back and rest in the middle of the afternoon if it is hot or really busy, like it was for us.
The staff is nice; I arrived at 9am and they went ahead and processed my check-​in and gave me a parking pass for my rental car. I left my luggage in the car, but my friend came later in the afternoon and they let her leave her bags in their closet. Our room was ready when we returned late that evening. It is a dark and slightly musty room, but decent flat screen TV and pretty large with 2 queen beds and plenty of room to move around. Blackout curtains are nice as well if you’re sleeping in, but they don’t totally meet.
However, all of the rooms are exterior corridors, so it can get loud depending on who is running up and down the «halls» of the floors. The walls are also thin. On the fourth floor, the ground is uneven and slanted, which is a little unnerving. We were out of our room before 9am on our second day and came back around 2pm and housekeeping still had not come by. They finally knocked on our door while we were there, just before 3pm, and exchanged towels.
Our biggest complaint is about the elevator (or how it is inoperative.) The elevator only worked about half (or less often) of the times we tried to use it. We were only staying here 2 nights, but coming back from the parks, exhausted and sore, walking upstairs to the 4^th floor is NOT fun. According to another family that had been staying there all week, they said it rarely works. SO, if you can’t handle stairs, make sure to get a room on the first floor.

Cheap Rate, ok service at the front, free wifi, good turn down service, smelly room from mildew stench on curtain in bathroom, that should be replaced often. I almost left because of the smell but we didn’t wanna be rude we were super happy to just be there. Room has a microwave and nice size fridge. Room was clean just an older seeming hotel, but close to Disney. Asked for a crib, never received one, did after second request when we needed it later. free parking tho, easiest walk to the parks we ever. It was a special occasion that was mentioned in reservation but nothing came out of it. All in all, you get what you pay for. $ 6 for the crib per day that we never used because the baby kept getting her leg stuck in the bars, wish they had a pack and play. Still have not been charged which is weird and we checked out a couple days ago no hold on cc. They still use a cc imprint machine. I am thankful to the nice housekeeper who organized all of our stuff so nicely tho after coming back from a long day at the parks with small children that was helpful. Third floor close to elevator.

I definitely will not be staying here again. If you are looking for a goods night rest, or any quiet time at all, do not stay here. I knew it being close to Disney it would be loud, but I didn’t think it would be as bad as it was.
There were so many teenagers and kids running around in the stairs, walkways and stomping above us the entire time we were there. We had to take sleeping pills just to get a few hours rest. I had to call the front desk to ask them to do something about the people above use umpire on the bed.
The only perks about it… it’s less than a ten minute walk to Disney’s front gates, food options all around us, and it was pretty clean.
It’s definitely appropriate for families with lots of kids and teenagers. But we won’t be staying here again. I like my sleep after a long day at Disney.

I was booked in here by a friend last minute for four nights during the recent NAMM Convention so wasn’t sure what to expect– just that there was a castle involved. I arrived around 8pm on the first night and had no problems checking in, the staff at the front desk were really polite and the hotel also provides free parking for guests which I think is few and far between these days!
The room was very basic but comfortable, I liked the fact the cleaning staff had transformed all our hand towels into swans– really cute! Although the walls were a little thin and I could hear other guests bumping around in the night this was a really great hotel for the price and I would stay here again just for the sheer convenience and excellence of the staff.

There have been few times where my stay at a hotel has been without drama. This is one of those times. I booked my stay with castle inn and suites through Orbitz. I’m glad I made that decision. The staff was friendly and made sure my stay was a pleasant one. The beds are comfortable and the room I stayed in was cozy and clean. I have to say I also love the medieval theme of the hotel. Thanks To the staff at Castle inn and suites for making my stay hassle free. I’ll surely be back.

Just stayed 5 nights here. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and with the renovations it is awesome. Love the beds. Very clean. Close walk to disneyland. Luv this place. Staff is always friendly. No complaints. Great family place.

Five stars for customer service alone. The story:
On their promo materials, Castle Inn shows towel swans in the rooms. I decided this was something I wanted, so we made sure to put in the notes that I’d prefer towel swans in the rooms. Once we checked in, we were informed just to call the front desk and they’d send housekeeping over to do it.
So, when we were leaving for the night (new years eve, so we’d be gone a while), we requested someone come leave me a swan. I left a small tip because it was a silly thing, but was grateful that they’d humor me.
Fastforward a few hours. I stumble into the hotel room, and FIND TEN TOWEL SWANS! They’re all OVER the place! Big ones, little ones, some that used multiple towels. I was so impressed with the level of care they put into this.
As for my actual room and the hotel: room was tidy and clean, bed and pillows were comfortable. Amenities were fair for the price, and the décor of the downstairs lobby was cute. Location was just a couple blocks from the entrance of Downtown Disney so no complaints!

This hotel was great! Everything was super clean, there was plenty of parking and the staff was awesome. Plus can I say LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It was a 5 minute walk to the front gates. We could hear the fireworks the first night we were there but we’re so tired we didn’t go outside to see if we could see them, but I bet you could. My only complaint was the bathtub wouldn’t keep water in for very long, something was wrong with the plug, but no big deal. We will definitely be staying here again!

My family and I just spent 3 nights at Castle Inn to be within walking distance of our Disneyland vacation. Not only was the room we had large enough to accommodate all of us (we got the suite) but it was clean and the staff was beyond helpful. Our dates were changed by 1 day so we had to book an extra night after the fact to make it work. Since it was closer to the date, the deals weren’t as great so we booked a small room to keep the cost down. Not only did they let us park 2 cars there for free because they had room but they also worked a deal with us to stay in the family suite to avoid changing rooms for our last night stay. This isn’t the first time we have stayed there and it definitely won’t be the last! Having stayed there a few times and reading some reviews I would just like to add that they have done some remodeling and the wifi worked just fine for us, however we weren’t there on a business trip so we just used it to avoid data charges. Thanks Castle Inn! We will see you again!!!

Room was clean, staff was nice, close to disneyland and restaurants. I have no complaints.

Just stayed here for 2 nights. We had the family suite and rooms/​beds were exactly as stated on website. The front desk let us check in early so we could park and head to DL… free parking btw! Yes, DL is up 2 blocks and across the street but completely avoids the DL tram and parking structure nightmares.
We bought some things in the hotel shop and staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. The WIFI wasn’t amazing and the tv’s only get a few channels (no movies to order).
The room was clean but not fancy. The whole place is old, but not old enough to be cool. If you’re looking for a safe, clean, friendly place to crash with your kids after long days at DL, this place will work for you!

Nice stay! Only wish they did a breakfast! So go to Denny’s down the road on way to park for a value breakfast…

We just stayed here. This hotel is NOT across the street from the entrance as most maps online show. It is about two blocks down. There was a water knocking sound in the wall that sounded like a faucet dripping into an empty bucket that went on constantly. The in room coffee maker and coffee was awful. This place is not worth it.

This place is great! Right across from Disneyland! Family friendly, clean, great staff! Rooms have been remodeled, look great, beds are comfy! Lov the late check out! Always out first choice when coming to Disneyland!

My girlfriend & I have stayed here multiple times and have had great experiences. The outside is pretty cool and how can you not like staying in a castle, am I right haha? Free parking? You bet! Staff is great too.
The rooms are comfortable, clean, and updated. The beds are cozy. But we didn’t spend much time in room given the happiest place on earth is across the street. The complimentary coffee is a plus. There is a pool, but it’s small ‘eh’ in comparison to most hotel pools.
The walk to Disneyland is super short being right across the street. Less than 7 minutes if you quick step it!
Overall, I give this hotel two thumbs up.

Stayed for 3nights and 4days. Clean rooms, very updated rooms. Great parking (free is always great) Only 12min walk to Disneyland, if that (for me since I’m 7months pregnant)
Only thing I was very disappointing about was the beds. We paid for, thought we would be getting 2 queens beds but when we got inside they looked like full beds. When my husband went go to ask about the «queen» beds he was told by the guy up front they are «small queens.»
Other then the «small queen beds», the hotel is located next to a lot of restaurants, wifi is great and I love how they have a quick little shop for drinks and snacks attached to the hotel and best part. It’s walking distance to Disneyland.

Stayed at this hotel 17yrs ago. Very old and dated back then. Carpets were dirty and musty. Place was grimy and icky HOWEVER with the recent remodel this place has caught up with the times especially with more competition in the area. Customer service was good, quick check in, free parking & room décor is much improved. Few minor things but not worth my time typing.
Cons: paper thin walls. Doors & window arnt thick enough to damper outside noise.

Stayed here during a convention. The location was very convenient being only a couple miles away walking distance. The room was nothing special, some of our towels were not washed (hairs on them) and the floor was not vacuumed properly. My only real complaint is that the maids would stand out side of our room for hours talking very loudly (this happened on multiple occasions). I find this VERY disrespectful. For someone who works at a hotel I would think that they would know that people are sleeping at 6−7AM! AND if the do not disturb sign is on PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB by banging on the door!
Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Despite this being an older property, it works fine for Disney visitors. The location across the street from Disneyland /​CA Adventures means you don’t need a shuttle to get to the park.
In our two-​room suite were a queen bed and two twin beds. This is perfect for my family of four. I wish more suite hotels have the same bedding arrangement.
Room also includes microwave and small fridge.
The property is a little dated. Bathroom can use renovating. Air conditioning /​heater unit sounds like a clunker. But if you are going to Disneyland, there is no reason to be in the room other than for sleeping. So this property works fine.

This place is perfect for what we needed and actually better than we thought it would be! It’s close to Disneyland so we can walk there and not pay for parking and the rooms are really big and clean and there’s free wifi.
There’s also a pool which is nice and it’s on the main strip so it’s close to a lot of restaurants and shops so it’s good for dinner as there is a lot of choice and inexpensive options.
The only downside is there is no breakfast but the hotel is close to Denny’s and IHOP and Vons grocery so you can always sort yourself out.
