Metropolitan High Performance Windows

My experience with them has been great. The windows are great and pricing better than others who do branded Windows. Also they were one of the very few willing to install a large garden window on second floor. The only minor issue I faced was after install when I needed some paperwork from them which took a long time and reminders. Will definitely recommend them.

incredible effort to win over the customer. incredible quality, they were also clean. my particular job was problematic but they bit the bullet and went way overtime to finish my job within the day. I can’t thank t hem enough to help us begin to move back in with the monster one day job as well as helping to move us a few days earlier. Gary the owner is very detail oriented and responsive to inquiries. I like how fast and straightforward he is. the caulking was done beautifully and blended into the window sill. the quality of the window chosen by his company is also very sturdy and beautiful. I like its thick white framing — it gives new character to an existing space. you can find some places out there that will do «18 windows for 1000 bux» and I think those places are about quantity and not quality. for something that protects against water damage, perhaps spend it on a trusted source — Gary and his team. I will definitely recommend their work to all my friends and family.

replace 2 medium sized windows 2 large windows, 1 security grill, added aluminum wrapping around window, all water sealing.

Because of my one-​star March 1 review that I was not being contacted in response to several messages explaining a needed window repair, Gary, the owner reached out to me from Unilocal.I sent him photos of the problem and he was able to schedule a repair for today. It was just completed by Perry & Mike, very kind and helpful. So I am happy to provide a new review, 5 star, because their simple repair makes a huge difference in my house. It is done and finally off my to do list since last summer.

I arrived at the church where I am a the minister only moments after Gary’s crew installed our new chancel windows. They looked great and the area around them was super clean. Good thing too as we had a group coming into the sanctuary in less than an hour and everything looked great. I believe we will be doing more business in the future with this company.

Installation of our windows was acceptable, but when we called repeatedly for repairs to damaged retractable screen door, we have been completely ignored. All we require is the name of the manufacturer so we can contact them directly in order to have our problem resolved.

I had my slider installed today. Perry and his crew are super nice and fast. They were on time and finished 1 hour and 45 minutes. The slider is beautiful and they even placed an extra panel cover on the bottom outside. Great work

I’m not sure what is going on with this business! I have never had an issue getting someone to call me back as well as come out for a repair. But I have been calling and emailing for weeks with no response. I even drove to the address listed and they aren’t there.
If anyone at the company reads these I would appreciate a response.
This is very poor business.
You can’t even get a person when you call.

I had made an appointment with Gary to find out what type of windows I need, and how much it would cost to install the windows at my rental property in Huntington Beach. Gary answered every question and concern I had, he was extremely helpful with suggestions on which windows to install. And he gave me a more than fair price for a 10 window install, I thought it was going to cost a lot more. So with the extra money I had, I decided to have Metropolitan replace my old aluminum patio doors also.
The workers who installed the windows and patio doors did a really good job, the windows and patio door look and work great!

Salesman named Scott. The estimate that I also received what about $ 1,100 less then the other quotes that I got. The simonton window were what I was looking for and they are just beautiful

I agree with other Unilocalers that they are good on the sales end, but if you have any sort of problem, this business fails miserably. I placed and order for 7 Magic Windows with Gary. The problem came with the installation. One window was installed crooked, another was supposed to be privacy glass and it was clear, and my big living room window frame was bent. Why they did not check the windows before leaving to see one was crooked and the other was the wrong glass I do not know. Sloppy service.
Gary sent his guys to fix the crooked window and replace the wrong glass, fine… but the problem came with living room window. I went back and forth with Gary, sending photos of the warped frame, but he never bothered to come out to look himself. He sent a guy from Magic to look at it, who confirmed it was crooked. Gary took no responsibility for his guys. I firmly believe they either bent the bottom of the frame when installing it or it was sent that way… but regardless of how the frame got bent, Gary denied any wrongdoing and acted like he could not care less that I was unsatisfied. He ignored my calls, and took his time replying to my emails.
The last I heard from Gary was on Feb 2, when he emailed me that the new window was ordered. Sounds great, right? Well, fast forward to today, 3 months later… I never heard back from Gary. No new window, No apologies, no trying to make things right.
UPDATE: Surprise surprise… the day after I posted this review originally I magically got an email from Gary asking when he could install the new window. No explanation, no apologies for the delay. If it takes a Unilocal review to get some sort of response, and you still don’t make any sort of apology, that is really bad business.

Used them to replace a slider and a window in a condo we rent out, they did so good we’re using them to replace our slider in our home. So far so good, was quick to come out and give a quote and we can’t wait for our new slider!

Gary was wonderful to work with. We have a giant patio door, he said that actually getting an OXXO format would be slightly less expensive than one sliding door. We live in a condo and there is absolutely no place for a dog door. We needed to get a dog door through the window and a lot of other companies were unable to accommodate this request, but Gary was able to do this
for us! I am so happy with the final result! It was a great experience and I would definitely referrer and work with Gary in the future.

It was a tough decision, but we ended up buying windows from another company. It was only because the other company’s window had a few options Metropolitan didn’t offer in their windows. This review is based solely on the in-​home consultation.
Gary came to our home to give us an estimate for double pane windows and sliding doors. He was going to be a few minutes early and called me to let me know. This was very refreshing in a world where late is the new «on time.»
Gary was courteous, straightforward, and friendly. When he didn’t have an answer to one of my obscure questions about installation, he called one if his installers and got an answer on the spot. Top notch service!

I’ve recently replaced 2 slide doors and one window with the help of Metropolitan windows and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve contacted few companies that I found through Unilocal and Metropolitan windows had the best price (I’ve contacted only 4 and 5 star companies) ! Gary was so easy to work with, always answering calls and emails. At the day of the installation, two guys came, they were polite and very professional, cleaned everything after themselves and got rid for me from the old windows. Great service, nice quality, reasonable prices.

It’s been a pleasure working with Gary. he is responsive, easy to work with, and more importantly he is honest. I highly recommend that you talk to him last. He will give you his very down to earth and expertise opinion on all the quotes so you can make an informed decision.

Gary installed 5 low e double pane windows on my office. The windows are tighter and don’t let the air in from the outside as easily so my office stays cleaner. Also I’m saving on energy bills.

We were pleased with our new sliding glass door even after being told that the product they were using was very cheap and would not hold up long term… it was the right price for us and would be fine so we thought for what we needed. We had no complaints until the screen started falling off about a month after we had the slider and screen installed, then the wheel of the screen came off.
I called many times to get help with the issue and no one called me back. I finally called in and told Gary that I was a new customer and needed a quote on 22 windows… He called me back immediately, go figure.
We were told we would have someone come out to look at the screen but there was mistake on the time and I was not on site when the installer came to look at the problem (this was months after my original call regarding the issue). The installer said he was recommending after my description of the problem that I get a new screen. I never heard back from the company. I called and called.
Finally someone called me back after I told them we were coming in to the office in person and how furious we were. They said they would order the screen and call me the following day it has now been a week later and they have not tried to get in touch. I have called many times now and no one will call me back. I just got done calling and after receiving their voicemail hung up and tried again the company started picking up the calls and hanging up on me. I am beyond furious… this company has no respect for their customers, they are only out to make money. They will not follow through on any of their promises.
I STRONGLY recommend not using this company. We plan on bringing a complaint to the better business bureau immediately. Beware!!!
