Louisiana Fried Catfish & Red Snapper in a corn meal dip with homemade hush puppies. Gumbo & jambalaya are a favorite on weekends with grits and homemade smothered potatoes all day long. Red beans and rice are an all time favorite, with macaroni, collard greens, potato salad, baked beans heading the side order list. Freshly fried chicken and pork chop daily and then smothered in a thick succulent mushroom gravy, served over steamed rice or smothered potatoes takes you back to «Big Mama’s «house. 6 hour smoked beef & pork ribs are mouth watering. Bar B Q chicken is also a big favorite. The talk of the town is the «Soulrito». A burrito filled with red beans, rice, roasted pork, collard greens and an award winning «soul sauce». some request macaroni in it!

Opened in 2000 on the corner of Magnolia and Crescent. 9⁄11 was brutal to my business and the economy. However, by the grace of God I’m back! Bigger and better. Stronger and wiser
