Ross Smith came to Anaheim more than 30 years ago to expand an already successful Rental Car business. Father and son operated for many years, Ross is a big name in the local community and has been instrumental in assisting, from the biggest most know hotels, to the privately owned hotels with their rental car service for 3 decades now.

If you are looking for a convenient place to rent a car near Disneyland, this is a great place! Pick up is in the lobby of a hotel right across from Disneyland park entrance. We were looking for a convenient place to rent for a day trip to Universal Studios and it was a great option to rent a car versus taking a shuttle because we wanted to stay until the park closed and all shuttle services return time is usually 6pm. What made this place the best was at the end of our day, we were able to leave our car at our hotel and simply leave the keys with the front desk and Select picked up the car the next day! It was so worth the extra $ 10 that Select ran in price versus competitors. Saving the time by not having to return the car… PRICELESS! My boyfriend left a baseball cap in the back of the car and the owner Ross shipped it back via UPS. Can’t thank him enough as it had sentimental value. Would highly recommended this place… customer service is what they are all about!

When I emailed select-​rent-​a-​car they replied very quickly, they did not have the car we originally requested but they recommended something I think ended up being better for our girls trip, victor sent us a quote and made sure to mention the 15 dollar underage fee and reserved the car for us.
He also helped us rent the car and sign all the paperwork, he was helpful, informative and very patient with all the questions we had.
Returning the car I met Ross and his wife Stacy, they were both equally as helpful and welcoming making the return process lightning fast.
Since I live 15 minutes away they also offered to drive me back home so I wouldn’t have to drive two cars to the rental place and back again.

You can’t compete with EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY SERVICE! I chose this company in regards to their positive reviews on Unilocal and Im glad I did. Ross contacted me very quickly and set up my reservation, when I asked if they offered pick up service victor emailed back promptly stating that they would which was a great convenience to me.
On day of pick up I received a call stating they would come to pick me up at 10:30am, I came down at 10:29 and a nice gentleman named Joel was already waiting for me! He was so kind, opened the door for me and made me feel like we were already great friends on the way to their establishment. Joel was great and went through the paperwork with me throughly. Their desk is located on Harbor blvd across from disneyland which is perfect if your coming from out of town, they also provide motor scooters for those who need an extra boost at the park!
Do yourself a favor and do business with nice people, it will make your experience and vacation much more pleasant as they did that for me

Great place to rent a car from. We were visiting for a conference and wanted to get to the beach for a day. Rented a car and had no issues. They picked us up from hotel and when we were done we just had to leave it in the hotel parking lot. Easy peasy! Reasonable price. And bonus was… I left a heart rate monitor in the car on accident. They didn’t find it until after I was back home, so they kindly mailed it to me (free of charge). Hard to find customer service like that these days!

The two gentleman I worked with the day I rented a car were very professional, and just awesome to work with. I was a newbie in town, and only had one day to drive around, and explore, and they both gave me great advise and awesome places to check out.
I was picked up at my hotel, and they picked the car up the following day when I headed to the airport. It was a great experience, and I will most definitely be back and rent from them again!

I came to Anaheim for work and decided to rent from Select. I had such a great experience, I rented from them again 2 weeks later when I was back for another work trip. Everyone who helped me with my rental was incredibly friendly & accommodating. I was promptly picked up and given a ride back to my hotel both times, the price was very reasonable, and they even let me keep the car an extra day no problem.
I was given a nice Honda Civic that was Bluetooth capable and had a backup camera, which I loved.
I will definitely be renting from them again whenever I return to Anaheim!

I recently rented a van from here. Victor was the one that was helping me out. Pretty nice helpful guy. Rent-​A-​Car is located inside the Best Western Hotel if you can’t seem to find the place. I drove right pass it the first time. I rent a car probably once a year to just do a mini weekend road trip and this place will probably be the one place I will come back to. Reliable, quick, and easy service! It’s also a little cheaper than most place.

Victor provided excellent customer service! The van we rented was clean and great condition. Best deal in all orange county! Victor even came to pick up the rental the next day from my house, saving me a lot of time. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family and will be using them again.

I directly dealt with the Ross over email for my trip to California. He was understanding to all my questions as it was my first time renting a car. Once I arrived, I also dealt with Victor. I only had texting, and Victor gave me his number to text if I had any questions or concerns. The underage fee is only $ 10/​day, as most places in the area were in the $ 25/​day range. They pick you up directly from the hotel and are very accommodating with my own plans.
I rented a car from them twice in a week. First time was for 3 days. The Honda civic I rented still had the new car smell. The car drove great, and was great on gas. If I had one complaint, I was some what disappointed in a lack of Bluetooth. The second time was for my last day of my trip, and again the Honda accord I rented drove great and again, still had the new car smell.
They treat their customers well, as I felt very welcomed throughout my experience with them. They are conveniently located right in front of the Disneyland entrance. I would definitely deal with them again in the future.

Select Rent-​A-​Car must only hire the nicest people because everyone I talked to was extremely accommodating and provided great customer service. I needed a car rental last minute and Victor was able to book one for me without a problem. Normally I hate dealing with car rentals because I feel like it’s always a hassle but not this time. I was in and out within a few minutes which really surprised me! I was staying in Pasadena and intended to drop the car off in Anaheim but for a small fee they were willing to come get the car from my hotel instead.
Overall, I would say 5 stars for customer service, accommodation, and making my experience painless. Thanks Victor and Select Rent-​A-​Car! I definitely recommend checking them out if you ever need a car in Anaheim.

We rented the 15-​seater van. Wonderful experience. Great staff, nice and kind. They deliver the van to your house and pick it up when done as long as you’re in d Disneyland area or nearby hotels. They are located across from the Disneyland main entrance in Harbor Blvd. Will definitely use them again.

We were going to be late in picking up our car at Select rent-​a-​car. I called and spoke to Victor to inform him of our delay. He said he would wait for us and to call when we were close. We arrived about 30 minutes after they close for the day. Victor was waiting for me in the lobby. The check in process was quick and before I knew it I was on my way. After we were done with the car he said to leave the keys at our hotel front desk and he would pick the car up the next day. Easy…
The car was adequate and the price was reasonable, but the customer service was outstanding. Victor exceeded my expectations and for this I will choose Select Rent-​a-​car for my car rental needs.

Great service! I called months in advance to inquire about their rental services. I was little skeptical because my boyfriend and I have never rented a car before. We planned to stay in Anaheim most of the trip. Going with Select-​rent-​a-​car was the best decision we made. We rented a car for 2 days to drive around LA. On the day that we had to return the car, we wanted to eat breakfast. I called to see if I could extend our rental until after we got breakfast. They allowed us to return the car without a fee just as long as we returned it within 3hrs. Thanks for making our trip worthwhile. The car was definitely helpful and handy!

I will always use Select Rent A Car when renting a vehicle. Ross was very accommodating and fair. It felt like I was borrowing a car from a relative. It’s very nice to deal with someone as honest and down to earth as he is. The van we rented was in great shape, clean and drove smooth. My son even asked if we could trade our car for it. I have been meaning to write this review for a while now because Select Rent-​A-​Car was SO wonderful. When I went down to Anaheim a few weeks ago I was in a panic because I needed to find a way from my hotel to Chapman University and back. The Hertz rental car place at the airport wanted a ridiculous amount of money for a 1 day rental so I began to desperately search for another option, which is when I found Select Rent-​A-​Car. Located in a hotel lobby across the street from Disneyland, it was very close to my hotel which was really convenient for me. When I called to book the car, the man who answered the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. He even gave me some information about the area and the University! He booked me a car quickly and easily for half the price that Hertz wanted.
At this point, I was already very pleased with this company. When I arrived to pick up my car, the woman at the desk was very kind, helpful and efficient. The paperwork only took a minute, and I was on my way in a very cute and high end Honda Civic (kind of made me want to trade in my car for one!). The car was clean and easy to drive and had excellent gas mileage.
The customer service at Select Rent-​A-​Car is exemplary and the price is really fair. If I am ever needing a rental car in Anaheim in the future, I will definitely be renting from them, and I really recommend this rental service to everyone!
