I don’t ever like to say mean things about people, but oh my … This place is the worst.
We had a last minute change of plans and called on time to change our reservations and they did. Pretty good right? NOPE ! Once we got their, they had no record of us! WTF! But yet they still charged my credit card. Of course.
The parking is horrible.
People who don’t even stay at this place can just pay $ 12 and stay… This means crowded, frustrating parking lot! Ugh it was horrible!!!
The bottom line is this place is terrible. Just terrible. They ruined my disneyland vacation.

You can’t beat the location! Literally across the street from the Disneyland entrance. They also have a store that provides everything you may need while on vacation and although a bit pricey is cheaper then anything you’ll buy in Disney. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location to Disneyland. Friendly staff. James, the Valet had the best customer service. He had great tips about the area and was just all around friendly. We will definitely be booking our next trip with Tropicana.

Great room for the price. Right across the street from the park entrance. Everyone was super friendly. We were at the parks all day, every day we were there. So really it was just a place to rest our overly excited childlike heads and worn out hurting feet after long days of joyous fun. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the service is what was expected, nothing really above and beyond. Will stay here again.

Great location for Disneyland Visit. Rooms were clean and staff friendly and helpful. The morning desk clerk was great helping us get a ride to the airport when our scheduled ride did not show up. Will stay there again when returning to the area.

We just stayed here last weekend during our visit to Disney land and California adventure. The staff was great! Room was clean! We got there early in the am and pre-​checked in and was able to park here instead of parking at Disneyland parking. It’s only $ 12 day and is walking distance away from the entrance, really can’t get much closer. Plus if your staying there they have free valet parking if there isn’t any parking spaces left, his was great since we have an oversized car. Plus they have a connection to one of the scooter company’s and they deliver right to the hotel it was so great for my parents! The general manager Greg sent us a email the day before we got there and the next day after we left. It may be a generic letter but I thought it was super friendly of them to do so. I will stay here again when we are back in the area!

Great service at the hotel, all people friendly. Valet always greeting us when we arrived back at the hotel no matter what hour. James and jimmy were really helpful!

Room was very clean, spacious and well appointed. This is the biggest factor when I decide to return to a hotel or not and I would stay again (and I likely will since we upgraded our park tickets to an annual pass). Also the desk staff was helpful and friendly. I forgot an online voucher I had printed at home and the Albert at the front desk was happy to have me forward him my email with the vouchers in it and print them for me. Super appreciate you Albert! Also I liked having the Cove store and coffe bar right there.
Parking is what cost this place a star. Not sure why valet is needed to park my car in the lot? Also where they parked my car someone apparently threw there used cigarettes on it from an upper floor. Not the parking people’s fault but it wouldn’t have happened if I had been able to park it infront of my room and my car is only 6 months old so seeing it treated like an ashtray is extremely irritating. Then everything I wanted to get something out of my car or out something back in car I had to walk past my car to go get me keys from the attendant and then walk back to give my keys back again. Ugh. This might have been a more minor inconvenience except the attendant was MIA several times. No he was not parking a car, after I complained about waiting more than 5 minutes the front desk radioed the guy and he came running over from down the block. I got my sunglasses out of the car and went to give the keys back and… MIA again. Another several minutes of waiting. This was just so annoying when my child was anxious to get into the park and we ended up missing a quarter of out magic morning hour. This may sound trivial but I only got one magic morning hour and it is the best hour of the day.

I will not be staying here again. Came in very late, was directed to the call window by signage and was greeted by a very friendly man that was very quick in charging us and getting us our keys. I was then given a parking pass by a young man working valet. He told me that he thinks there is a a spot somewhere but likely not near my room. This hotel has half of their parking roped off to make money off of valet for people avoiding parking park prices for the parking garage. Had to park very very far from room but thankfully did not plan on driving anywhere until the time of our departure. This place was made to look amazing and comaparable to a disney resort property upon booking. None of the photos are very realistic or recent.
I booked a king size bed, standard room.
By the time I got into my room it was about 1:30am. after a long day of work and traveling. Upon first glance I found that we had 2 double (maybe queens? im not sure because they were so small) beds and the fan in the bathroom sounded like a rocket taking off.
My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds. Poor ventilation — the rooms were awkardwardly humid, our bedding felt wet. paper thin walls, assume there will be kids jumping up and down at 6 am. The rooms were just bland… and a little stagnant.
The connecting door to the neighbors next door was not locked and could just be opened.
There was a coffee shop and market on grounds and it is located across the street the main stretchway to the main Disney gate.

We stayed here for the first time for our Disneyland trip from Jan 19 – 30. We usually stay at Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn but they were already booked.
Most times, we take the red eye from Oahu and land in the early morning at LAX. It is understood that we can’t check in to our hotel till the late afternoon, so we usually kill time at a mall and sleep in our car. But this time, we took a chance and checked in around 9am and to our surprise, they quickly gave us a room! We were also impressed that the valet person already had our name on their list before we even set foot out of our car. They seemed more organized than another hotel.
The room was standard. The beds were quite comfy and the pillows were a perfect amount of softness and firm. I felt like our room had everything we needed to accommodate our stay. The light bulb in our bathroom did go out, though. But all I had to do was call the front desk and they replaced it before we returned to our room at the end of the day.
Our family of 4 tries to travel to Anaheim every 1 – 2 years, so we are very familiar with the surroundings. We are fine with sacrificing luxury for convenience, as we enjoy the comfort of being walking distance to the parks. This is beneficial if you have young kids or tire quickly and like to leave the park to go take a nap. You have to understand that the basic hotels are the closest walking distance to Disney and the nicer, luxurious ones are farther away and would require you to drive and pay to park in the Disney lots. I mean, yes, I do wonder what its like to stay at the more posh-​looking hotels. But if we save money by staying closer and in a basic hotel, then all the more we can spend on that pricey but delicious Disney food that we long for while on Oahu.

Always stay here when we go to the Magic Kingdom. Located right by the front gates. So walking is perfect.
Room rates reasonable in the off season. Don’t go during summer. If you do… good luck.
Rooms are good sized. Comfy, but then again it’s just a place to rest before hitting Disneyland or California Adventure.
Parking is really tight. Not many spaces. But not too bad. We’ve always gotten a spot close to our room.
Staff are really nice and patient.

Stayed here a few times since it’s so convenient
To Disneyland. And it’s comfortable enough. You do get a mini fridge, small microwave, free wifi which works quite well I could actually stream from Netflix on my iPad.
Hotel room itself was ok. Could use a remodel especially the bathroom, they look very old original even. They do give you coffee/​tea service. But coffee is horrible!!! Bring your own.
Or get some out!
You do have to pay a per night parking fee, but just factor that in to your stay. Really not my 1^st
Choice in hotel, we only stay here if it gives us the best rate, most of the other hotels along Harbor
Blvd. are mostly, frankly better. But it’s ok as long as you can get a good rate.

I’m so confused to how many stars to give this place. The only plus here is the location and free wifi. This motel is located right across the street from Disneyland. I think I would prefer to stay here rather than stay somewhere I would have to catch a shuttle. I can be at the Disneyland gate in less than ten minutes which is super awesome. I stayed at a hotel once where I had to catch a shuttle and it was awful, sometimes taking an hour to get to the park or get back.
I booked this room through Priceline and got an ok price. The customer service here wasn’t too friendly. When I checked in, there was another $ 100 tacked onto my bill for taxes and parking which I was not too happy about.
The parking here sucks. You have no choice but to park here and pay the $ 12 a day rate. The parking lot has very limited stalls, but there are valets here during the day who will park your car for you if you can’t find a space. The room was pretty clean when we got in. We got a room on the second floor (no elevator).
The rooms here are not quiet. If there is someone outside you can hear everything going on. Also, the curtains do not close. There is a very thin veil that covers the window that people can see through from outside. If you have a light or soda machine outside your door it will be very bright inside. The beds are also very hard. We only got one tiny piece of soap, so I recommend bringing your own soap and shampoo. My room did have a full size tub, the tiniest microwave on the planet and a mini fridge.
If you try to check in late at night, the lobby is closed and you can only talk to someone through a little window on the right side of the building.
Again, the location here is super duper awesome but this is not a high class or even medium class joint. However, if you don’t plan on being in the room much, it’s ok.

We recently stayed here for our trip to Disneyland, and the location of this hotel makes the star-​rating a ³⁄₅. However, the hotel was not what we expected. The hotel is a ¹⁄₅.
Let me start off by saying, this is a MOTEL. NOT A HOTEL. It feels like a Motel 6, and the rooms are setup just like a Motel 6; sinks outside of the bathroom, a/​c unit in wall, tiny rooms, parking right outside your front-​door, and same type of furnishings and quality you would find in a Motel 6. Hard beds, and generally just old cheap décor.
If you are staying here for Disneyland, it would be worth it if you could get this room at a motel rate, otherwise I would pass. We fortunately did get a good rate for the two nights we stayed there, so it was less painful, for sure.
Parking is $ 12/​day plus tax. So factor that into the rate as well.
The beds were fine in our room. Clean sheets, and comfortable queen-​sized beds. A little hard, but not terrible. The first night I was nervous I was going to get bitten by bugs, judging by the rest of the room, I won’t lie. But I did not. The beds are fine, and clean. The sheets were fine and clean.
The bathrooms are old. Very small, and not very clean. They meet the bare minimum requirements for occupancy. I have attached pictures.
Our bedroom curtains were dirty. It looked like someone threw their cup of coffee on them, all splattered brown and smelly.
Our room was hot! Musty, and humid. We had to leave the window open all day and that helped, but as soon as we closed the window and left for a few hours, we returned to the same hot, musty room. Smelled like an old hotel. Not stinky, just very stale.
Overall, this place is just an old motel, that has an amazing location. Staff is nice, but don’t expect an amazing hotel. Just use it as a place to sleep, and love the convenience of walking across the street to Disneyland. At least thats what I had to tell myself to make it the two days we were there.
There is a convenience store outside the hotel. That is nice, but that store doubles the prices of everything. I think we paid $ 4 for a small bottle of Gatorade. And like $ 3 for a bottle of water.
And let me tell you, it realllly is awesome to walk across to Disneyland! Like others have said, the location is unbeatable.

Why would I give a motel five stars?
Because it’s very clean, the staff is super friendly, the convenience store is well stocked and has great business hours. It’s directly across the street from Disneyland entrance. Like 100 paces. I kid you not.
If I was expecting a modern hotel chain type of property then this would definitely not get a rating of five stars. However, I knew what I was getting and it didn’t disappoint me. The AC is ice cold too. Microwave and mini fridge in my room.
No free breakfast but, there are SEVERAL options within a VERY SHORT walking distance.
Take it from me. Stay here. It really is a nice place and the location will more than make up for it!

My boyfriend and I chose the Tropicana for our one night stay near Disneyland. We didn’t have a lot of time to do research and ended up picking it because of it’s close proximity to Disneyland.
The Tropicana is simply a three-​star hotel so let’s break this down into three categories: good, okay and not-​so-​good things about the Tropicana.
Good
Location! Being right across the street from Disneyland’s main entrance gives the Tropicana a major advantage. It’s awesome that you can literally cross the street and be at Disneyland. No worrying about parking, driving or waiting for the tram or shuttle.
Free wifi! It drives me insane when hotels don’t offer free wi-​fi and I was pleased to find out that the Tropicana did. I didn’t have any trouble connecting my phone and it was a good thing I did as it allowed all my photos from the previous three days at Disneyland to back-​up to Google Photos before my phone went haywire the next day.
Okay
The rooms get a solid okay rating. Nothing spectacular but they’re clean and well-​appointed. There’s a mini fridge and microwave, which are always nice features to have. The shower had a strange temperature gauge that looks like it’s been there since the 1960s and I couldn’t tell if it actually did anything. I was excited to try the I Love Mango and Papaya bath products but found that they lacked any significant fragrance.
The Cove mini mart had a nice selection of traveling necessities and snacks but it comes at a steep price.
Not-​So-​Good
Paid parking. Ugh! Hotels that make you pay for parking are right up there on my list of lodging pet peeves with paying for wi-​fi. The Tropicana charges $ 9.75 plus a 17% tax (eek!) for daily parking. While this was still cheaper than parking at Disneyland, I hate paying for parking as a principle and wish it would just be worked into the price of the room so I wouldn’t know.
No breakfast. I’ve read that the Tropicana used to offer a continental breakfast but recently stopped. I know it’s never high quality food but it’s still nice to be able to grab a quick bite of something on the way to the park.

We stayed at The Tropicana Inn a little over a week ago since I had found a room for a relatively cheap rate. The hotel was clean, the staff was accommodating (I had emailed requesting a room facing fireworks, and got 3^rd floor with an amazing view of the show), the pool was clean, and it was close to the park.
Plus, you know that awful feeling of walking out of Disneyland close to midnight, knowing you have about 20 minutes of walking left to do? Not the case here– it takes maybe 5 minutes to get from the hotel to the park entrance.
Also, they charge for parking, but the fee includes valet, and the valet guys were friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here probably 8 times in the last year. That’s gotta say something right? We’ve tried 2 other hotels nearby and although the rooms were nicer at those places, we just couldn’t beat the location of the tropicana. We also love grabbing bottles of water and coffees at The Cove by the entrance.
The Disney executive suite is totally worth it if you want to Treat Yo Self. Nothing says luxury like 2 toilets in the room

Like they say in real estate, the three most important things are «Location, location, location». And Tropicana’s got it. You can’t get better than this — across the street from the entrance to Disneyland. About a 5 – 7 minute walk to the ticket/​entry lines. You pay for daily hotel parking but end up saving money compared to parking in one of the Disney shuttle lots.
We stayed here for 5 nights on the 3^rd floor. Our room was cleaned well daily, there were no problems, water was hot. As many reviewers have noted, the rooms are nothing special but they were clean and everything worked, including wifi. Never did get to try out the pool, but it looked nice (and very well used). It’s an okay hotel in a prime location. Will we be back to Tropicana? As Sarah Palin would say, You betcha!
