Park Vue Inn

Great hotel, great location & recent renovations. Stayed 7 days. Early check in seems to be not available but oh well. Just take a drive down to newport for a couple hours. Not one problem during our stay. As for reviews of thin walls. Just like any other hotel in the area. Had to teach my son not to walk on his heels. Breakfast in the morning was always a pleasure. Until I found out biscuits and gravy are served every other day. :((love b&g). Patio view for fireworks is great if you don’t want to stay in the park all night. Staff always cleaning up the grounds reminds you of all the disney staff. Great gift shop on site. For if you forgot anything. This will definitely be our first choice as long as they are not booked.

We stayed for four nights during a trip to Disneyland. The best part about staying at this hotel is that you can pretty much walk out your door and to the crosswalk to get to Disneyland, you can’t get much closer. This especially made it nice with our young children needing to go back and forth for naps, food, and any breaks we needed. At night, we could look out our window or step outside and watch the fireworks. The front desk always had lemonade, coffee, water, and cookies on hand, which my kids loved. The room was clean and spacious, beds were OK comfort wise. I really have no complaints about the room, but my husband did say he wished it felt a little more homey, it was really empty and a bit bland. The pool area is nice, we did go for a short swim, the water was a bit cool at that time for my children. The breakfast is just OK, there was an OK variety, but the food was a bit dry and bland, we ended up not eating there. The only downside to the hotel is that there is no elevator, we had to unload and fold up our strollers to put back in the car each trip we made. I would recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed here on three different occasions and am booked for another visit in July. The rooms are always very clean, the people at the front desk are always courteous, and you can’t get a much better location if you are going to the DisneyLand resort. Also, if you’re hungry, there is an IHop right next door. The only issue with this place, are there a lot of kids running around and you can hear everything from outside. I don’t mind this, as I’m also excited to be going to DisneyLand, too! So, if you’re looking for peace and quiet, maybe stay somewhere else. But if you’re looking for a clean room with basic amenities with a kick ass location to the parks, stay here.

The main reason we chose this hotel was, of course, the location to Disneyland Resort. It’s closer to the gates than the on-​site hotels! The rooms are clean, housekeeping is attentive, and there seemed to be plenty of parking. Breakfast was also delicious. It was really nice to have a FULL breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, self-​made waffles, and more — not just bagels and pastries, like most other hotels provide. The proximity to restaurants and gift shops is great too. And we could see the Matterhorn from the window of our room! My only complaint would be the location of the AC; in front of the bathroom sink is not a good idea, as I froze myself every time I used the sink or mirror. It would be nice for the pool and hot tub to be open later, since most people return from the parks weary and needing refreshment at about midnight. I understand there’s probably a noise ordinance, which prevents this, though. Other than that, this was the perfect hotel for our Disney vacation!

Rooms are fair, breakfast was decent, however staff was not very pleasant. I booked a room in January for June and was given a wheelchair accessible room. When I asked to switched rooms I was told all rooms were booked and to try again in the morning. When I contacted them in the morning they acted as if I was being a picky guest. I was also inconvenienced by having to bring my bags up front, checkout, and check back in at 3pm. I’d also asked if upon return if I could be put upstairs and/​or closer to the front. When I checked back in at 3 the staff was very dry and didn’t even acknowledge we walked in. Not only did we not get a room neither on the second floor not closer to the front, our room ended up being even further away and in the very back of the motel. So if you plan on staying here make sure they give you the room you booked!

Literally right across the street from Disneyland itself… the crosswalk from the hotel entered right into the main gate .
The breakfast included was sooooo ono (good), and we even got one of the newly upgraded rooms on the second floor, right about the laundry room, n ice machine.
We are pretty well-​to-​do, but not high maintenance at all. We loved everything about this hotel /​Motel/​Inn, whatever you call it LOL
We didn’t mind any of the noise, which wasn’t loud at all, of kids or suite cases rolling around. we were so pooped from Disneyland, that if there was any noise we surely didn’t hear it LOL LOL we were crashed out! Haha
Pool and jacuzzi was nice and clean as well. Only downfall, and was not the hotel’s fault, but I feel they could have helped me out a little bit more… was, Our flight was major delayed (Allegiant… DON’T FLY THEM, SO SCARY) which caused us to lose a whole day of a hotel that we had to pay for but didn’t get to utilize. :(Bummah-​lummah. They wouldn’t refund us back that amount, but like I said we really loved the hotel and the stay, so we didn’t mind in the end.
There is Cold Stone ice cream and IHOP right in our same parking lot. There was even a cute little souvenir shop in our parking lot as well, with prices muuuccchhh less than in the Disneyland Park stuff. Cute Disney clothes and little knick-​knacks to take home for your family. Very affordable.
Overall I really enjoyed this hotel and we will be going back there again in November.
Price well worth it! But I how the buhggah, never go up… i better go book it now! LOL

The Kumai Ohana

This was the perfect place for us. My husband and I mulled over where to stay for our Disney trip for about a month. None of the hotels we were looking at had everything we wanted. My husband finally zoomed in on maps and saw this place. I am so glad he did.
Free breakfast.
Right across from the park.
Free wifi.
Plus I think it was slightly cheaper than the other hotels right there.
We will be staying here every time we go to Disneyland.
Our kids loved the bunk beds.

I just returned from a 4 night stay, yesterday. Here is my analysis:
Pros:
Location-​brief walk to the park
Breakfast-​included with the stay and excellent
Viewing deck for fireworks
Small gym
Near IHOP and Pizza Press
In room safe
Gift/​Souvenir shop on site (you can pick up anything you forgot to pack here as well)
Cons:
No early check-​in (I had been up since 4 am when I arrived)
You can hear everything from the second floor
Rooms are very small
I would stay here again.

This place was perfect, just what we were looking for. So so close to Disneyland, clean, free parking, a room with a queen bed and bunk bed, delicious breakfast. Perfect!

So just finishing up a stay here with family… and I’m very happy with the Park Vue Inn… In quick summary it’s a great, convenient location, free parking, breakfast included, with recently updated/​remodeled rooms.
All the staff are very friendly… they made my daughter’s bed and «tucked» in her stuffed animals each day, which she got a huge kick out of each time… check-​in was efficient and staff were friendly and efficient.
The rooms have been remodeled/​updated and are very modern now — new carpet and tile in bath/entry…pain, furnishings, lighting all updated — room even has a ceiling fan which was perfect at night.
As many have said, the location is perfect — literally across the street from the entrance to the park — man does it make you feel awesome after crossing the street, when you strut right to your room while the masses walk several blocks, with tired kids.
Breakfast was great in the AM… they call it a continental, but offer hot eggs, and sides every morning, plus make-​your-​own belgian waffles, and the usual cereals, toast, bagels, etc…
And hats off to a hotel that actually believes their own signs about re-​using a towel if it’s on the rack. Normally most hotels seems to just change the towels despite my leaving them on the rack, but Park Vue actually left the towels on the rack alone and let us use them more than one day — Thanks for that — less water used in parched CA.
Personally, I can’t find anything to complain about that’s either actually under the control of the hotel, or reasonable to complain about… so to speak to some of the comments about noise…
…yes it is loud when people talk next door, or on the common hallway, but that’s on them — not the hotel… ask your neighbors to quiet down or wait it out… you are in a Hotel with people on vacation, you chose to stay in the middle of a commercial area, on a major street, with 60,000 of your closest friends around you, so try to remember that…
…yes it is loud in the AM when people walk by going to breakfast and the exterior hallway on the 2^nd floor must be made out of a drum-​like material and be designed specifically to transfer vibrations through the building… but HEY… you are in Disneyland with lots of people… you should probably not be focussed on sleeping in — if that’s your goal, then this is the wrong vacation destination for you! Personally the traffic on the major street fronting the hotel, along with garbage trucks for the adjacent IHOP are bigger noise issues for me.
Anyway, I don’t think you can really go wrong staying here… with the renovation, this place may replace our old standby hotel when we visit Disneyland and become the new go-​to for us.

We love the convince of being right across the street from the main entrance! We love the helpful staff, the yummy free breakfast (my kids favorite is the biscuits and gravy), the pool (that is almost always empty so enjoy it privately!), and the nice updated rooms! There is a cold stone by the lobby for mid day snack or ihop (where kids eat free after 4:00 for dinner!). We have stayed here several times and will never stay anywhere else! Thanks park vue inn!

This place was awful. Beware don’t stay here. Room was old and dirty and street noise is the loudest ever. Do yourself a favor and stay at a nice hotel. Not worth the money.

Very close to Disneyland and California Adventure. Good free breakfast and parking. Maids did well with cleaning room daily.
Certainly not a fancy place and isn’t cheap but it was still worth recommending. It’s right next to IHOP and down the block from McDonald’s.
I had to run to the 24 hour CVS at 3am and that was also on the same street but not walking distance.
My only real complaint was that their WiFi was sketchy. It wasn’t working consistently.

Many places to stay when you go to Disneyland. However there are a few things to consider when going. (Unless money isn’t an option and it grows on a tree for you, stay at California Grand, Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier)
1) Location of hotel (How easy it is to walk to the park)
2) Price for what you are receiving
The location of the hotel is amazing. It is right there on Harbor, at the main signal light for the buses to enter the park. You walk almost right out of the hotel and into the cross walk to get into the park. If you want to stay close at a great price, this is the place for you! This is great if you have little ones and want to go back to the hotel to rest during the day. Not to mention that you can also go up to the Sun Deck and watch the fireworks show from Disneyland. (Of course not the best view, but then again, you are not on Main St. inside Disneyland.)
As far as price for what you receive, it is one of the better locations. We had FREE breakfast every morning which consisted of a choice of: waffles, eggs, potatoes, breads, bagels, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juices. This is a great benefit for a family as it can save $ 75+ dollars a day on just breakfast. (IHOP and others close by have more expensive prices for all the tourists that are near)
Stayed in a nice size room that had a queen bed and bunk beds for the kids. Lots of space as the kids could play in the morning while getting ready as well. Room was very clean and modern.
Need to go back to the room and get some work done? Hotel has FREE WiFi.
Another great perk of staying here, you have FREE parking at the hotel. Not many places anymore allow you to park your car for FREE, but this is one of them!
The reason for not 5 stars is because of the thinner walls. Depending how loud your neighbors are, you can hear the conversation or if they are above you, you can hear them walking around and getting ready. My suggestion is, ask for a room on the second floor (top floor).
Hotel staff was extremely friendly. Everyone from the front desk, breakfast workers, to even the maids and other staff members. Always greeted with a smile and a hello.

I stayed here before when I was younger and kid free. Fast forward to now, married with a 2 year old… This hotel is by far the LOUDEST hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Obnoxiously loud, hear your neighbor talking, coughing, loud. Hear every single foot step, every item dropped, the shower, the sink of the people above you, wake you up at 6am LOUD. wake up a toddler that should be sleeping until at least 8am LOUD. Hear every kid running down the walkways at 7am loud (thanks parents who don’t give a shit about anyone else who may be sleeping) it literally sounds like thunder/​a mini earthquake every time someone runs by.
We checked in around 2:30, in hopes to give our little one a nap and then go back to Disneyland. Remember what I said about being loud? Yep. Well imagine the maid cart going by every 5 – 10 minutes, every time a mini earthquake would ensue. It was great.
Also, the bed sucks. So freaking hard. On top of not sleeping you’ll have a sore back, hips and shoulders.
Which is a terrible combo when you’re heading to dland for a day of walking 13 miles
The shower leaks water ALL over the bathroom floor.
For good measure I’ll throw in some pros:
1) So close to Disneyland. Right across the street.
2) free breakfast (standard, kinda gross), wifi and parking included which is rare for this area.
3) Friendly front desk staff
4) Fairly large refrigerator in the room.
Definitely won’t be staying here again!

I can’t think of a single negative thing to mention. We stayed here last night for the first time. It is directly across from Disneyland main gate. Perfect location! They have have free parking and breakfast as well. We did not partake in the breakfast this time, but would in the future. They are right next door to an ihop too though. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a 2 queen suite with sofa sleeper. I liked that there was another vanity counter outside the bathroom, as well as one inside the bathroom too. My husband and I were able to get ready at the same time without bumping into one another. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay somewhere near Disneyland. We will definitely be returning to this hotel! Not a single hiccup! Love it!

Rooms are not a bad price. Hotel is directly across from Disneyland’s Woody & Jessie lots (parking for buses). Cold stone next to lobby. Free breakfast & wifi.
Boyfriend and I got the deluxe king jacuzzi room. Was just over $ 400 for two nights. Room included two night stands with safe, phone, and clock. Tv and desk. Table with seating for two. Our own AC unit. Two sinks. Microwave, coffeemaker, and mini fridge. Shower with a tub. Extra pillows and ironing board tucked away into closet. Our room also had a nice jacuzzi for us to relax in.
We were staying Monday-​Wednesday (we have annual passes for Disneyland). Got to the hotel at about 1 but check-​in wasn’t until three. We wanted to be able to have a few hours inside the park since they closed earlier at 8pm. Went to the lobby and paid for both nights, got our receipt, received a paper to put in our car to park there, and were given a peace of mind knowing we could just get our key cards later.
We never got around to the free breakfast because we woke up later (breakfast is until 10:30am). Jacuzzi was really nice for relaxing after hours at the park. Brought our Xbox for games and movies. AC worked great. Shower water heated up fast. I will say the mini fridge took forever to cool down our drinks but by the morning it was cold enough and kept everything cold to the end of our stay.
Definitely will stay here every time we have a multi-​day trip :)

Location, Location, Location! We are a huge fan of this hotel. When we found this hotel and booked a stay, this became our home away from home when we go to Disneyland. So what made us a fan of this hotel!!!
*It’s across the street from the park entrance… I don’t think you could get any closer to the park entrance than this hotel
*You can watch the fireworks from the hotel… Depending on the room you get you could be watching from your front door or you can walk to their patio where they serve breakfast at to sit and watch.
*It’s close to a lot of restaurants you can walk to get a bite to eat… IHOP, Denny’s, Coldstone, Captain Kid, Romanos, etc…
*Parking is free & you can leave your car parked for free until midnight on the day you check-​out… Great deal if you still plan to visit the park or Downtown Disney after you check-​out!
*Buffet breakfast included on your stay… Solid breakfast to jumpstart your day!
*Rooms with bunk beds for the kiddos available
*Pool & jacuzzi available
*Workout buff!!! They have a small gym for you to workout.
*Convenience store on property for something you may need or forgot to bring
*Vending machines available if you need a drink or snack any time of the day or night

Staff are friendly and efficient. They keep the hotel clean. Beds are comfy. We are sold and love staying here! Now, this isn’t a five star hotel or a place to stay for a romantic getaway. This is a hotel to stay at for it’s location, convenience and the deal you get with your stay when you go to Disneyland with the family.

I made reservations about 4 – 5 months ago for this hotel that I found with the help of Unilocal & TripAdvisor’s reviews.
First, I’m really glad we stayed here (for 5 nights, our room was near the back corner, on the second floor) because it is literally 5 minute walk to Disneyland’s entrance (like everyone brags about!) I remember when I made the reservations online, I mentioned it was my son’s 5^th birthday.
And guess what? The room had a little bag of candies & a happy birthday letter that was waiting for him. Not to mention, that letter could be redeemed for a personal size ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery! Jeremiah was super excited when he saw that.
The front desk was very welcoming. The woman who helped us was really nice and friendly. When we settled into our room, I received a phone call from the front desk making sure everything was perfect. I really liked that gesture.
The beds were comfortable. The pillows were ok, I’m just used to the gel memory foam ones I have at home. The TV was a little small. The housekeeping did an ok job. The free breakfast was pretty good. IHOP and McDonald’s was around the corner. Didn’t have time to check out the pool but it looked clean and neat. We will def stay here next time we come back to Disneyland!

Didn’t expect much showing up but was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are nice and clean and the property was well kept. It’s a older property but most there are but it has been remodeled and they take pride in there property. We showed up for a birthday weekend and they had a care package in the room and you got a personalized mini cake from cold stone. It was a nice touch.
They have free parking for guests, big plus as they love to charge you for parking in Cali. We had some friends driving down to meet us for dinner one night, the office gladly gave us a parking pass for them for the evening.
The breakfast is nice, waffles, eggs, sausage, Bagels, and cereal. Free breakfast, not bad.
The only downfall of the place was not really there fault. The unruly chalupas (children) that terrorize their hotel room. Ugh. But it is Disney and they still could of been worse. We will definitely stay again on the next trip.
