The room is just ok. The internet is extremely slow when it works. If you need wifi stay somewhere else!

Old, grimy and outdated not impressed at all… beds feel like your sleeping on a rock… Yes across from Disneyland but much nicer hotels a little further away for less money and most if not all hotels within a few miles of Disneyland have shuttles that run all day to the park

I just received the WORST customer service ever in all my years of booking a room. I booked a room early this morning and explained to Teo Huerta, the manager in charge at the time, that, I would be booking a room for my brother and that I would not be there upon check in.
I then went into the hotel early in the morning with my brother to speak with the Teo Huerta to clarify that I would NOT be there upon check, therefore, I would like to make sure that my brother would be able to get into the room without me.
At 4:31pm, an hour and a half after check-​in I received a phone call from my brother that he is not being allowed to check in. I then spoke with Teo, again, however, he tells me that I need to be present to check him in. He told me that he would not let my brother, who was there with his son, in a room because I had to be there. After going back and forth with him several times, explaining that I was an hour and a half away and could not get there, he told me that there was absolutely nothing he could do. I asked him, if he was going to make my brother and his son sit there until I was able to check them in. Then he suggested that I could send a fax. I am not near a fax machine. I then had to ask if I could email the form in. Finally a solution. Teo did not take any responsibility for not clarifying with me when I was in his presence earlier that morning that even though he was aware that my brother would be checking into the room without me, I would also have to be there to sign for the room. The sole purpose of me explaining to Teo, not once, but twice, that I needed to take care of everything that needed to be taken care of so that my brother would be able to check in without me. Also, before I left the front desk, I again asked was there anything else that had to be done, I was to by Teo himself, that there was nothing more to take care of and that my brother would be able to check in without me.
Teo was very rude, and very condescending. He blamed me for the situation, telling me, who checks out a room without a signature, he didn’t know the main reason for me coming in in the morning was to make sure my brother could check in without me, and, that I was the one who misunderstood not him. Eventhough, his computer notes clearly show that I had asked about my brother being able to check in without me.
He left with with his supervisor’s name, Mary Pacheco, told me that she would be in at 8:30am the following morning. He never once apologized for the inconvenience, nor for his misunderstanding, nor for the way he spoke to me or for making my brother and his son sit in the lobby and wait for this whole inconvenience to be taken care of.
I will NEVER book with your business again, nor will I ever recommend your hotel to any family or friends.

We stayed in room 221 checked in last Friday. Staff was great. Kudos for the free breakfast. All and all it would have been a great experience. Except for one thing THERE WAS COCKROACH in our room. So disgusting!

Room very dirty we got bitten by bed bugs we found many of them at the bed and towels, we asked to change the sheets but same issue, second day we asked to change the room because of the bed bugs no one care, and they said you have to check out, manager show up careless about the health issue, and after 30 mints they change room next door he didn’t apologies about how dirty there rooms.
Second night the AC not working we ask to be fixed someone show up with ZERO knowledge about the AC. We checked out and we didn’t get any attention about the bug bite. Not recommended at all.

I’d say it’s easily the best place to stay with a group for a Disneyland trip. We’ve been coming to the park for years and every trip play the game of cost savings vs. proximity to the park vs. quality of the hotel.
On our most recent trip, I chose Desert for its big suites. They were way more accommodating than I could have hoped for – we had people coming in from all over the country with different cars etc. and they held luggage, offer d complimentary valet, and took great care of our high maintenance needs.
The room itself was totally adequate, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The beds were even comfortable (what?!) which is not was you expect in a budget hotel.
The biggest draw – and what they don’t advertise that heavily – is the rooftop! There are tables, seating, and an incredible view of the fireworks. Plus, this place is closer to the entrance than the Disneyland Hotel!
What’s not to love?

The desert in and suites is a favorite motel for Disneyland. They accommodate all our needs and are so kind to us with our disabled clients. It’s right across the street from Disneyland couldn’t be better

Very close to Disneyland. Literally right across the street. Denny’s, ihop and other food places are close by. And staff is friendly. Rooms are clean and nice. We stayed here for the Disneyland half marathon weekend and we got upgraded to a nicer room for no additional cost. You can also buy Disneyland tickets here for a discounted price.
Many people complain about the breakfast but it was enough for us. They had different kinds of slice bread and even had toasters to toast the bread. They had jam and butter. And cereal too. Eggs and muffins etc. and a choice of coffee and juice (apple and orange). It was enough for us even after coming from a race. They also had free wifi and it was fast. A/​C was cold and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommended especially for those who don’t want to walk too far for Disneyland.

The complacency of the staff was extremely frustrating. They seemed to not want to help unless you truly expressed that you were extremely upset. The proximity to Disneyland should not mean that terrible service should be expected. The maids were were very nice and helpful but the front office was horrible to deal with.

My family and I stayed here for the first time on a trip to Disneyland.

— Toilet paper & tissue are thin (1-​play)
— Bath towels are small (I opened up a «clean» towel after a shower & there was hair on it
— Shower/​tub is a bit narrow
— Shower head is pretty low so you have to bend you head back to rinse (I’m only 5’5)
— It takes a while for the hot water to get warm/​hot
— Water pressure is very low
— No trays/​racks to place shampoo/​conditioner/​body wash/​soap. Utilize the corners of the tub.
— No soap tray for sink either
— Continental breakfast starts at 7am. Sucks if you’re trying to get to Disneyland at 7am.

OMG don’t stay here.
Yes its close to Disneyland, but just two buildings away you can find nicer people/​updated rooms/​way bigger pool and cheaper rooms. (Anaheim Plaza Hotel/​Best Western)
Anyway…very rude staff. They put you on hold for over 20 min to talk to the manager and don’t give you service. Ever heard of the customer is always right. NOT HERE.
We tried to cancel 1 night on our 4 day stay and was told NO. They were going to charge us anyway. I’ve never heard of such a thing! We should be able to leave when we want. So we paid an extra $ 200 for a night we didn’t use. Rather than accommodate you or listen to you the manager will ARGUE with you, and hang up on you.
VERY MONEY DRIVEN at this place.
DON’T STAY HERE… Best Western and Anaheim Plaza Hotel are nicer, and people (family) friendly …

Stayed here for 1 night. We booked this location because it was very close to Disneyland.
After spending a long day at Disneyland, you just can’t wait to go to your hotel room to relax and rest. Well, that sure didn’t happen.
First we got a room that had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. I was the lucky one that had to sleep on the pull out sofa bed.
REASONS FOR 1 STAR
— The pull out sofa bed was not comfortable at all. Your better off sleeping on the floor. You literately could feel the springs on your back.
— The sofa bed was in its own room and you have this little hole in the wall to blow air from the main room to the your room (it totally sucks)
— The 2 queen beds in the main room are very low to the ground and not good for kids.
— The elevators are hot, old and very unsafe.
— The indoor swimming pool is very dirty
— Front desk customer service was horrible
I do not recommend this hotel. Please look into another near the area.

Super close to Disneyland … That’s about it. I really wanted to like this hotel. Our key to our truck was damaged by the valet driver (still waiting to hear about the claim that was made by us), and the the beds were not comfortable. The extra pillows helped somewhat. My daughter left her iPod in the room and within a few hours of checking out, it wasn’t there or found. Very upsetting to say the least.
Watching the fireworks on the roof was fun for the kids. The «breakfast» left much to be desired. The room breakfast was in was tiny ! And the food that was in there wasn’t very good.
Overall, it was nice to be so close to the park, but I’m not sure we’d stay here again.

First of all we chose this hotel because of their good price & the location, when I arrived I didn’t realize how close we were to Disneyland! It’s in walking distance, probably even a shorter walk than the Disneyland hotel to the park!
The elevator was small & realllly slow, but that wasn’t a big deal!
Most times there weren’t any parking stalls left, one day the valet helped us out and parked the car when a spot opened up.
The store downstairs was expensive, but not surprising since we’re right across Disneyland!
Breakfast wasn’t so great! I literally had to be there before it opened up to get anything. And when I did it wasn’t much.
There was a hole in the wall from my room to the parlor, next to our bed… I think it’s supposed to be an AC vent, but I did not like that! (For privacy/​there was another couple/​family members in parlor)
I could hear the neighbor kids running around and making noise at night.
However I did like the whole floor plan of this room c2? My family of 4 had 1 room with 2 queens and a full bathroom, the parlor had a sofa bed for 1 couple, and the connecting room had two more queen beds with a dining table, microwave, small fridge, and another full bathroom. (Total of 10 people) That’s the best part of this deal!
Also I always came back to my room after a long day at the park to new sheets & the bed made up! One day the housekeeper even set up my kids dolls on the bed! Thanks, that was cute.
Overall, Big family rooms! And great location! I would come back again on our next family trip.

Since becoming Disney AP holders, we’ve stayed here several times.
The pros:
–super short walk to the parks
–clean, comfy rooms
–basic continental breakfast included
–a bit more affordable than luxurious hotel chains means we can afford to upgrade to a suite
–decent bathrooms
–AP discount
–viewing deck for fireworks
The cons:
–thin walls
–lacks the luxurious feel of a nicer hotel
–only real protein in breakfast are hard boiled eggs
–nothing fancy about the enclosed pool/​jacuzzi area
Budget-​wise, I’d rather stay here 3 nights instead of 2 nights at a nicer place.

My family & I stayed here exactly 5 days ago for 3 nights. We had two rooms next to each other. I could not wait to get home so I can write this review. I gave 2 stars ONLY for the staff who were very nice, professional & immediately did something about my complaint about the noisy kids when I called front desk.
1) We all did NOT sleep very well due to the noisy kids screaming & running up & down the stair case at 7am! I looked outside & saw no parents/​adults with those kids. The noisy truck (I’m guessing it was a garbage truck) did not help either. I called front desk & minutes later they asked the kids to leave. This happened every morning we were there (Tues-​Thur).
2) The rooms were pretty old. From furniture, carpet, bedding etc.
3) Continental Breakfast was crap! I have been to hotels with «Free Breakfast» before & this by far is the worst. Not enough selection. The apple juice tasted so sweet (too concentrated). Boiled eggs tasted like they were in the refrigerator for months!
I still can’t believe I paid $ 1,300+ for our stay here. If the experience was good then I don’t mind but it’s by far the worst experience we all have had in a hotel.
The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s a 7minute walk to the Disneyland entrance.
I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone I know.

Located DIRECTLY across the street from Disneyland and sandwiched between an IHOP and a Denny’s, you cannot beat this location.
We were lucky enough to get a room near the front entrance. Lucky since the free breakfast area is right below us. Unlucky in that the noise level may keep you up at night.

As a Annual Pass holder and frequent visitor to Disneyland I guess I can literally say I have been around the block. I have stayed at multiple hotels at Harbor Blvd and my business is with the Desert Inn.
As a tourist there are two problems you will face when visiting Disneyland:
1) Horrible Parking
2) Negligent Customer Service
When you get to Disney, the last thing you want to worry about is finding a parking space. Some adjacent Hotels will not let you park you vehicle until after your check in time at 3pm. So what do you do then? Nothing, there’s nothing you can do. Even if you offer to pay the resort parking fee. The Desert Inn on the other hand allows you park your vehicle and go on and enjoy the park. The ballet staff parking is very friendly and helpful. Even after checkout, you have the opportunity to keep your vehicle in the parking lot.
It was very disappointing to experience poor customer service at other adjacent hotels; I don’t think they understand that there is more than their business. The Desert in staff is very friendly and helpful in every aspect of your visit.
The proximity to the park for the price is just beyond convenient. It allowed my family to go rest and eat at the hotel by simply crossing the street. Also, when the kids needed a change of cloth it was just a short walk.
The only things that is very disappointing is when the hotel is booked, and I have to then go back to the problems with the other hotels (but that’s my fault for not booking in advanced lol). I hope the management team and staff continue conducting their business in the same manner, until then, my business remains at the Desert Inn.

I had a pleasant stay for 10 days in February. Check In was easy, and their was ample Parking. It doesn’t have crazy amenities, however it’s close to Disneyland. The room was clean and tidy, the maid service was good. I really liked the convenient Ice Machines throughout the Facility which made it perfect for me to get Ice to use in my Hydro Flask for the park. It’s a great place to stay because of the location and price.

We stayed here for $ 99 as listed on Priceline. After taxes and resort fees it was $ 122 for one night for 2 queen beds. Considering we were a stones throw from disneyland a front gates it was well worth it.
The room was spotless and comfortable. The only complaint we have is that they have plantation style shutters on the windows. They really didn’t feel very private as we could see people walking by outside through gaps, even with them shut. Someone would have to try very hard to stop and peek in, but still a little unnerving.
The pool is indoors and they have a spa. It was completely overrun by kids on Monday and we checked out Tuesday when it was practically deserted.
Breakfast is continental and while adequate, not very filling for someone watching their sugar intake. Lots of pastry, fruits and cereal. So, we ended up going to Captain Kidds next door. (Do not go there for dinner! Breakfast was ok though, lots of bacon!)
They do charge $ 9 a day for parking. That was a little off putting but, the convenience it was worth it. Considering we now have annual passes for Disneyland, we would def. stay here again.
