Great staff, very friendly atmosphere. My friend and I enjoyed the class very much. This was my first class at this trapeze school but my 4^th overall. I went to the one in Santa Monica before and the atmosphere was more intense. This school is more relaxed, fun and safe and instructors give plenty of feedback. Parking is good when you get there early at no additional cost. Bought already more lessons.

I’m an avid Groupon-​er that likes to try random classes for the heck of it. They had an amazing deal for two, so I decided to try it out with a friend many many months ago! (Sorry for the belated post)
My friend and I had no gymastic background whatsoever and I most definitely do not lift, so if I can do this, anyone can. There were about 3 or 4 trapezers there that day, all of which were wonderful and patient to the trapeze-​challenged. They allowed me to go at my own pace and shouted words of encouragement throughout my lesson. From afar the net seemed narrow, but it was more than wide enough to catch you when you release yourself. I remember being petrified my first swing, but «falling» is probably the most fun part!
If I ever do start lifting and gain enough upper body strength, I’ll be back!

Everything you could want from a circus school. I got a groupon for 3 trapeze classes (thank you random sales!) My first class was awesome! I was swinging, doing double knee hangs, and catches at the end of the class. I got lucky. There weren’t a lot of students that day. Val is very patient, she always made sure to ask if I had to rest or skip.
Tips: Wear leggings (easier to grip the trapeze with your legs), socks are optional, but if you dont like walking around bare feet you might want them, workout gloves if you dont want to blisters (unless you have thick calluses). Warm up before you get there. It’s more like a get up and go type of deal. Bring loads of water to hydrate you. if you’re going with friends as an Im-​doing-​something-​crazy-​for-​once-​in-​my-​life-​with-​my-​girls, you might want to bring cash to buy the pictures they take with their Dslr. They take cards too.
They also offer silks and lyra classes.

I had such a great time at swingit trapeze! The staff was so friendly and fun, and made me feel really safe the whole time. Definitely recommend this place!

I took the 2 hour aerial trapeze class. Very fun! I would highly recommend trying it out at least once. It is very different from anything I’ve ever tried. I don’t have any upper body strength since I had just given birth 2 months prior to doing this so I was surprised that I was able to do it. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

Amazing flying trapeze artists here. They have an aerial program, trampoline program, and of course flying trapeze. I’ve performed twice in their student show this year and absolutely loved it. They make sure everything is safe and help me improve on my techniques. Definitely come fly with them! It’s not something many can say they’ve done in their life.

This place is amazing. My daughter who is 10 LOVES it and goes frequently. Val is super friendly and down to earth, they teach the real deal, teaching different positions on the trapeze and when you’ve mastered the level you are caught by a very strong coach hanging upside down on the other side, having said that, you can totally go at your own pace and do what you are comfortable with, It’s very safe, you wear a harness and the coaches are extremely helpful and encouraging, they are all professionals who know what they are doing. I would highly recommend it, it’s fun for all ages, individuals, families or groups looking for something different and exciting to do. (afterwards go across the street to Gypsy Den café and bar for a friendly atmosphere, drinks and food!)

Surprised my fiancé and took him here for a class and he loved it. Instructors and staff are all great. Very encouraging and you learn so much in a couple hours.

This place was fantastic! Everyone was super nice and I had so much fun. My friend ended up being way better at this trapeze stuff than I am but I still had allot of fun and I’d probably be up for trying it again sometime especially with these great instructors! Check this place out!

Love this place! I’m so glad I bought myself that Groupon for my birthday and had my brother come along with me. We ended up signing up for 2 extra classes and loved each one. Val & Nick run the show and they’re amazing! They’re both so nice, and patient with everyone. They have a couple assistants that rotate here and there, and they’re all just as friendly and talkative. My brother and I had our 3^rd class today and almost the entire 2 hours we had been trying over and over to nail a certain swing and FINALLY when it was time for Nick to catch us, we nailed it! We were so proud :) But the dozens of failures before, Val would give us advice on what to do different and Nick would show us another way to get it right… and it finally paid off. It’s harder than it looks! But once you get your first couple swings down, it’s not that bad. It’s super safe (remember the net will ALWAYS catch you! lol), tons of fun and a great work out. Each lesson that you do gets progressively harder but it’s fun to be challenged and try something new. I highly recommend these guys!

What a cool experience! The people are amazing and we had a blast! Definitely worth your time and fun to experience. The team did an amazing job!

I joined my friend who wanted to celebrate her birthday by swinging from ungodly heights, so I obliged!
The staff was great and very encouraging. I was shocked at the level everyone excelled to by the end of the 2 hour beginner’s course. We used a groupon special, $ 69 for two people, but I believe it is normally $ 75 per person. If you want to get more time swingin’, try and sign up for a class with the least amount of people. When we signed up, there were 2 others, and turned into a group of 8, and everyone got to swing about 5 – 6 times.
They’ll send you an email about attire and sunscreen, etc and I recommend wearing socks, just like another reviewer recommended. The stairway up the podium is metal and has grooves, so the extra padding is helpful. Also, I felt a little more secure at the top with socks on.
I probably won’t do this again, as it scared the bejesus out of me, but I’m glad I can say I did it! They taught us to swing, all the way to catching a coach’s hands upside down. Fun experience!
Bring a friend or two to take pictures/​video and watch! They are allowed in the area.

So much fun. From the booking process to the actual event. Val was extremely helpful. Friendly and quick.
Our son was definitely the superstar of the day and was the only one in group to do the catch with Michael.
The staff was great. I chickened out but the kids had an awesome time and flipped and got to do multiple times.

Swingit Trapeze is tucked awhile in the small crevice between the Wells Fargo parking structure and the parking lot for the Ice skating rink.
A $ 69 deal for 2 and 2 hrs of swinging fun on Groupon brought us to this very location.
Regularly: $ 10 per swing or $ 25 for 3 swings.
We had a total of 4 instructors, 2 on top 1 on the bottom with the rope giving us clear instructions and 1 on the swings to do tricks with us.
We started off signing a waiver and than we practiced the simple steps of swinging. Than its off we go! The stairs alone can be nerve wracking if you’re afraid of heights. Once you are up there you wipe your hands with chalk then you step over the ledge with your 5 toes dangling, with the instructor behind you holding your whole body weight from falling to your death.
Once you jump, you realize my, i should of done some arm work before this, because you need so much of it to do these little tricks! I really appreciate the small steps we took to achieving certain trick. I was upset that I never got the timing down because i never got to swing to the hold the instructors hands, but i def. was still proud of what i was even capable of doing it!
Tips:
Wear socks, even though a lot of people didnt– i felt like it cushioned from running up the stairs and the hard netting, i actually came back with random baby bruises all over my legs.
wear workout gloves (not sure if they would allow this, though i see why not) but we all got almost blistery/​bruising from all that swinging.

I must say that when my wife told me she wanted to go to trapeze lessons I didn’t know how to react. So being a team player I agreed. Mind you sports does not run in my family at all. The staff has a very let’s get right to it kind of attitude. And that helped out a lot because I didn’t have to question what was going on next.
I can tell you one thing about this experience is that I think that I was the only one there that had a spouse that participated. I do recommend couples or even groups to try this event out. It was thrilling and for someone who is afraid of heights I can scratch this off of my wife’s bucket list!!!

Scary at first but u learn to love the rush. I had so much fun learning to trust my body and myself. I would definitely do this again. I am sore now but it was worth it.

Had such a great class today! All of the instructors are so friendly and helpful. My whole family went and even my husband was able to accomplish his trick and catch it. I would highly recommend everyone try this out. You are guarantee to have a blast and no fitness skill required just follow directions.

I had so much fun at my first class with Swingit Trapeze today! I’m so glad I found a livingsocial deal :) It was well worth it! The instructors were awesome and it was a great time :)

Good setup, friendly management… We made reservations for 7 girls & will definitely be back!
