The drinks were wonderful! However — there are loads of places with great coffee, and more places will continue to pop up. Great coffee doesn’t make a great cart anymore. The experience and the employees now seal the deal and set carts and stores apart. This morning, we met a wonderful barista who turned a terrible experience from a nearby cart into a tremendous day. She was friendly, prompt, and managed to up-sell us to order an additional drink. She cared about the business, her product, and our experience — it shows. We will return because she earned the business!

The coffee is not worth the price and wait. I came here as a nice change up and it took 15 minutes just to make a latte, definitely will not return.

Great service all the time. Been going to this coffee stand for years and there are always kind people working and great coffee. Chole a. and Raina are two super great baristas to look for.

Service here sucks! Waited in line only to have gal inside help 2 others that arrived after I did on opposite side of stand. Girl was totally clueless.

Face it, there are a lot of coffee shacks in town. Most have gimmicks, like full lunch menus or cutesy names. Heck, some even put their baristas in bikinis. While some of those are fun(one or two more than others) in my experience, the bigger the gimmick the worse the drinks served there. This isn’t the case at Loco. It’s just a simple, clean shack who’s owners had the brilliant foresight to hire baristas that aren’t only attractive and good natured, but also *gasp* know how to make a good cup of coffee. Good coffee from a coffee shack? I know this sounds insane, but I swear this is the case. Personally, I’m a chai drinker, and while most shacks carry the drink, 9⁄10 of them only stock Oregon Chai. Loco, on the other hand, carries at least 4 varieties, and that’s just for the chai. A quick look inside reveals shelves full of ingredients, meant for folks even more picky about their drinks than I am. Kaladi crowd, I’m looking squarely at you. Yes, it’s served in generic cup and not fancy logo wear, but the hot drinks I’ve purchased from Loco consistently put Brayton to shame. No, there’s nowhere to sit with your little hipster buddies, but if you’re short on time but not willing to compromise on quality and taste, there is no better place in town for the money.
