The window world is filled with ridiculously long sales appointments, pitches, and pressure to sign contracts immediately. I got 3 quotes before deciding on Affordable Window.
Renewal by Andersen wanted the cost of a new car for 6 windows. That included ‘upgraded hardware’ to put us in a lower bracket to get a bigger percentage discount. Sears gave us good, better and best options. Prices ranged $ 6,000-$ 9,000 for 6 windows. Affordable Window came in at under half of that for 8, yes 8, windows!
Linda and Eric did a fantastic job explaining the product and installation process. That put our mind at ease. Kirk, the installer, is an absolute perfectionist. I could not find a single flaw in his caulking and trim. He left no mess behind. He even matched trim around our front door for no additional charge. It was a 2 day install, first day inside, 2^nd day outside.
With all the other big company sales pitches, you’ll hear «fiberglass is best», no «composite wood is best», etc. The Northstar brand high quality vinyl windows I got also come with a lifetime guarantee. It’s a night and day difference between what I had before and now. In addition, Linda provided me with information to get a $ 25/​window rebate from DTE, our electric company.
I’m beyond happy I found Affordable Window and avoided what may of been a financed car-​sized monthly payment. I’ll try to get some pictures up after we finish painting.
