Established in 2010.

by Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, and American National Champion, Professor Kris Magers.

Specializing in world class, curriculum based, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction, Professor Kris specializes in helping people to achieve their personal goals.

In 2014, URSA Academy expanded its growing class schedule by launching the only Muay Thai kickboxing program in Ann Arbor.

Certified Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu First Degree Black Belt Professor Kris Magers is an American National Champion and Pan American Bronze Medalist.

He actively competes in (IBJJF) International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation and other grappling tournaments across the country. Professor Kris enjoys competition and sees it not only as a way to challenge himself, but as a way to bring the latest techniques to his students and improve as an instructor.

Professor Kris prides himself on being a «teaching professional.» He personally writes 100% of all jiu jitsu curriculum taught at the school, and teaches classes six days per week.
