I ordered the typhoon salad with shrimp. It gave me food poisoning. I would never go back. The food is not anything special.

Watched the game here last night, Great happy, hour drinks. They were good and strong. I didn’t come to eat so I didn’t try any food but garlic Parmesan fries(good). No happy hour food menu.

We went when the Dubs hit made history with the 73 wins. & it probably wasn’t a good idea. It took 15 minutes to get an acknowledgment or our orders taken, and 30 minutes to get our drinks. Food came out at a decent time, but by then I wasn’t impressed by their turn around time. Wings were a bit salty for my palate, but the Garlic fries were pretty good. The kitchen should probably come up with a more efficient way to take/push out orders on game days because the location is a clean, open, space with potential. Our server was swamped but you could tell he was trying to work his tail off. And he remained cordial. We appreciated that. I probably wouldn’t come back again on a game night, maybe just to the bar. Or I’ll order ahead.

Food and service was awesome. My family and I were not sure about this place especially after all of the bad reviews and feedback we heard. We decided to try it anyways and we are really glad we did. The garlic fry’s were probably the best we have ever had. The full rack of ribs had a lot of meat unlike other restaurants and they were very good. We highly recommend this place to try out.

One of my favorite places to go with friends. I’ve been a few times, and their wings are great! There other stuff is good too. Only issue? Long. Wait. Times. Even when it’s not crowded. That’s not a major problem! Just know that this is a place you can go to chill out and have fun, not somewhere you can expect to be in and out of quickly.

Seated quickly and drinks ordered fast. I love the restaurant interior’s beachy theme with the blue/sea foam green paint. Really nice. It did seem pretty empty for a Sunday evening. We had the calamari appetizer, sampler boneless wings with four different dipping sauces, and the garlic parm fries. They have quite a selection of sauces and rubs to choose from for your wings and they give you the option of trying them out before ordering. Our server(can’t remember his name) was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the coco loco sauce, which we tried and loved. We also had the garlic rosemary — my favorite. The boneless wings alone were so-so to me; kinda reminded me of KFC chicken(I’m not a big fan of), so the dipping sauces helped them out. The calamari was just okay(texture reminded me of freezer food). The garlic parm fries were good and tasty at the top, but very greasy in the middle and bottom so we couldn’t finish them. Overall, good experience, but the food was mediocre.

This was my first visit, and most likely my last. We were there during the lunch hour and the restaurant was empty. Not a good sign. The restaurant itself had a bright, lively and clean appearance. I loved the bright colors and beach style décor. The first thing I noticed was the music. It was way too loud. Every time a song would change there was a very much appreciated pause of silence. My ears got a bit of a break. I couldn’t carry on a conversation with my husband across the table from me! It was that loud. When we left it was a relief to get out of the noise. The wait staff, are young and very accommodating. Our waiter knew the menu well, and could answer any questions we had. The service was a bit slow, but overall not bad. I’ve had much worse. I ordered the grilled chicken honey pecan salad, with a honey mustard dressing. It was fresh and really tasty. My husband had a small salad and the cheese and broccoli soup. The soup was cheesy, but and this is a big but, only warm, not hot, and there was a layer of grease on the top of the soup, from the cheese. Not to inviting. As I always do, I go into the restrooms. The women’s restroom was absolutely filthy. There were rolls of toilet paper all over the floor. The toilets hadn’t been cleaned in, this is a guess, a couple of days. Although, the cute beach theme décor flowed into the restroom, the sinks were old and crappy. Without so much as matching faucets, which one, didn’t even work. To make things worse, there were no hand towels in the dispenser. I hate to say it, when a restroom is that bad, obviously management is putting their money elsewhere. Which tells me there isn’t much money. If I had gone into that restroom first, I would have turned around and walked out. Which is why I won’t be returning. On average the Hurricane gets 2.5 star reviews. I hope management is paying attention, or there won’t be a need for me to return, because it won’t be there.

Came back for the 3rd time tonight Sunday night. So bumbed cause it was nOt near as good and I don’t think I’ll be back for a long time. The tortilla soup was thick. We mentioned to the server and she said that’s how it was . Asked server 3 times for lemons to enhance the diet coke that was so flat I sent it back. Asked severe to take off bill And she said she would but didn’t. She said others have complained. I had the chicken fajita bowl and it was tuff to chew. Flavor was good but real tuff Annoying they were tacking chairs and sweeping 15 minutes before they close. But hey it’s Antioch what do I expect I guess . I’m mad I didn’t complain to a manager. I never saw one any where jut the staff with their cell phones in there back pockets. My bill was $ 70 for 3 people and I left unhappy

First and last time here. Very disappointed. Took one hour to get my tea and ANHOURAND A HALF to get my 5 snack sized wings. One star because my wings were pretty good. Thought I would get a free meal or a discount at the very least for the unacceptable wait. Don’t come here unless you are willing to be here for AT least 3 hours and willing to wait over an hour for your order. SERVICEISEXTREMELYSLOW!!!

Ordered: Onion Rings, Chips & Salsa, Fish & Chips, and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. The Onion Rings were fresh and crispy. The breading was flavorful. The chips & salsa were decent but nothing to brag about. The fish filet was great, the batter was fried to crispy perfection. The fries were reminiscent of Burger Kings original recipe fries from years ago. Not the best fries but because of the nostalgic feeling I got from eating them, I would recommend them. The bacon cheeseburger= delicious.

Went here the day before Easter with my family. The servers pretty much got everything wrong as well as showed no interest in addressing any of our needs actually walking away while my mother was asking a question twice, the best part being that it was totally dead in the place with only a few other tables full. The food was horrible which was made even worse by the ridiculously high prices and extremely small portions. They even managed to mess up Mac and Cheese which my niece ordered, it looked like they used the really cheap box stuff and it tasted like nothing if that’s even possible. Even the wings were a flop. With several other better restaurants and places for wings in the area I doubt this place will be around long. Best advise, skip it.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times. First time so/so, just figured it is new give it time. 2nd time, sat at bar and was completely ignored for 10+ min and the place was dead. Last night went there and place was empty at 7 pm. But that’s ok, we thought we will get full service and appreciate our business. We sat in the area where the surf boards are. Our server was absolutely the worst. Wasn’t nice couldn’t smile, nothing !! They all were too busy talking amongst themselves and we had to keep asking for everything! Forks, water etc! They all including the blonde Hispanic bartender acted like they all hate their jobs. Was so looking forward to this place. I’m moving on Good Luck

We ate at The Hurricane for the first time. The food was good and our server, Kate, was very attentive. Unfortunately I’m stuck with a vegan diet, due to medical reasons, and they were able to accommodate me. The Shrimp and Mahi Mahi rice was delicious. We ordered a snack of chicken wings and we’re delighted that they weren’t greasy and were cooked appropriately. My husband had the Pulled Pork Sliders and loved them. We will definately go back.

First time here, it took a minute to be seated, no one was at the host station when we walked in. I don’t know too much about the restaurant, but it definitley had a florida feel. Very bright pastel nautical kind of décor. After we were seated, Frank was our server. I asked the normal questions, he went through the menu pretty thoroughly, which I appreciated because it was our first time there. We ended up ordering the Fish and Chips, the Beachside Chicken and the Boneless Chicken Strips for the boy. The food took longer than I thought it should have but it did come out fresh. So it wasn’t sitting under a heat lamp some where. In summary the food was good, the prices were comparable to other places like this. What stood out the most was our server Frank. His service is what got Hurricane the 4th star. I’d love to give this place a 5th star but this being our first time I couldn’t do it. So as we frequent this place I’ll update my review. The restaurant is very open and inviting, it’s definitely a great meeting spot.

This restaurant has to be the WORST place I’ve eaten in years!!! Where to begin… First of all the menu is completely disorganized to the point me and my two friends had a difficult time even selecting an item to order. I sampled their wing sauces(of which none are hot) and a majority of them taste like salad dressing… Wtf is that. I ordered salmon and asked for it blackened it came out way under cooked and my fries are dripping greese they look wet. My friends ordered chicken salads. The chicken is definitely frozen chicken possibly Tyson it taste like water with almost a fish like texture. We ended up leaving with a hundred dollar tab all still hungry and gave the food to our dogs. Never ever eat here

The service was good the first time I went, the second time… not so much. Our order the first time was taken right, and our server at the bar was just the right amount of friendly. A little sassy, but extremely attentive. The second time, or order came back wrong — we asked for boneless and instead received bone-in wings. NBD, I’m over it. Their Boss Sauce is where it’s at. Lemon and basil was good too, as was fire and ice. The atmosphere is nice. I like that it looks more open than the previous restaurant. Good beer selection, too.

New Spot So far, so good. The place reminds me of Florida beach. The servers are very attentive, they all help each other. Appetizer: Perfect Storm which had Firecracker Shrimp, Fried pickles, Boneless wings, and garlic Parmesan fries. Shrimp was good, needs to be bigger, but then again it’s an appetizer. Fried pickles was good. Boneless wings are good size. The Garlic Parmesan Fries are really good. Entrée: Half a rack of ribs(raspberry chipotle ribs) The ribs contain enough meat. The ribs by themselves are so good. They were light on sauce. They should be Caramelized with the sauce rather than an after thought. The manager and the server took note. They also made sure to tell the cooks. This place looks promising.

I want to point out that, for me, three stars is not a bad review. It means at expectations. We have been waiting for Hurricane Grill and Wings to open for quite a while. With the demise of Schooners and UNOs the alternatives to BJs were precious few. The first thing that hit me when I walked in the door was how bright it was. Bright lights and bright colors. It is arranged pretty much as the predecessor UNOs was with a bar area to your right and a big dining area off to the left. As is our wont Judit and I headed to the bar. I counted 24 taps and recognized enough of them to know that we would have no difficulty finding a beer we liked. In the hope of finding a beer that was new and maybe interesting I asked for the beer menu. They do not have one. With 24 beers it is a bit much to expect the server to be able to rattle off all the choices. We ordered a couple of beers and got down to the menu. From the lunch menu Judit chose 5 jumbo wings and I had the Cancun chicken wrap each of which came with a side of our choice. While we waited(and waited and waited) for our food the bar tender chatted with us and provided tastes of some of the beers we had not been able to see and sure enough I would have ordered something different. When I mentioned the lack of a beer menu he immediately said that he would mention that to the boss. Finally our food arrived(I am assuming that its tardiness is just part of the learning curve) and it was good but not exceptional. Judit, the wings aficionado, said that the wings were not as good as BJs. I could not tell the difference. Then came the tab. $ 6 pints vs $ 4 lunch pints at BJs. Our meals cost another buck or so each vs. a typical BJ’s lunch. So six bucks before tax and tips and about $ 8 in total more than a typical lunch at BJs. That is not totally fair because it is pretty easy to spend more at BJs but then we would be eating a better meal. So, we had been hoping for a good alternative to BJs. It is not bad but the only reason for us to choose it is because it is closer to home or as a change. One other hint: Do not frustrate yourself by going to the chain’s website. It is like going back to a 1,200 baud modem. This did not count in assigning stars.
