I wanted to write this review and I normally do not take the time to do this. But I am really impressed with the service that Julio provided at my house this past weekend. I cannot wait until my next apt as he did an amazing job. I feel like I am living in a brand new condo now. Thanks so much for spending the time getting everything so clean on the carpets for me.

Its been years since I had cleaned my carpets and it showed. My boss recommended Joshua as he is been using him for last 10 years. I called Joshua and got a day scheduled right away. I enjoy being able to deal with the owner. From my past experience it usually reflects detailed work. He showed up on time and detailed my whole house. I cant believe the difference his cleaning made. I feel like I have new carpets again. Thank you for your hard work. Also I appreciate your honest pricing. I will definitely use them again.

Joshua’s guy, Julio, is still with him; I’m updating the review I wrote in 2012 or –13. Their attention to detail is superb. Julio lays down strokes on the carpet that are so incredibly precise they’re lovely. Not a wasted motion. Careful to put waterproof lifts under all furniture legs. Helped me move last few small items out of harm’s way.
We figured out today he must have been doing wotk for me for more than 15 years. It’s gratifying to be able to help a small businessperson who well deserves a shout-​out. Thank you, Joshua and Julio, for performing a terrific job — every time!

Joshua’s came well-​recommended to me for my 20 year old carpets. He quoted me $ 120.00 over the phone for my split level home. Unfortunately I was sick when they came & was unprepared for them. They were detained at a job in Danville & so my job, scheduled for noon, was delayed until 5:00! He kept in touch with me throughout the day & I was more happy that they were still coming than I was unhappy that they were so late. He and his employee got right to work & spent four solid hours on two bedrooms, living, dining, & family rooms. They had extra work to do because I was ill– prepared for them. They did not move any furniture, working around it, but did move plants. I was distressed to find one of them in a rough ceramic pot with a damp bottom perched atop my antique sideboard! A special picture frame was broken & it was not brought to my attention. When the job was done he wanted $ 180.00 rather than the $ 120.00 quoted because of the extra prep work. I paid it gladly because I felt they earned it. Bottom line, the carpets look magnificent! They seem almost new which buys me some time before I have to replace them. With most of these carpet cleaners the spots return after a couple of days. I’m several weeks down the pike & my carpets still look lovely…& I had some troubling areas for them to address! I see from the reviews that they are habitually late and jack up the price once the job is done. Yes, there were some issues, but there is no denying that they are the best in the business! The proof is in the pudding! I would definitely call them again!

Well extremely happy as usual needed my carpets cleaned again and so I called and got an appointment really quick and they did a great job once again!!! These guys truly are the best and the price is always fair thanks a lot for an amazing job!!!

I love when I find a company I can trust. I have a big house and a lot of pets and it shows. Joshua’s comes in and does such an AMAZING job you would never know I have any pets. I was lucky enough to find a business that not only does great work but is extremely professional and easy to work with.

Just had Joshua’s Carpet Cleaning over to my home. Received a coupon in the Val-​Pak envelope advertising a variety of offers. I called for the «Large House Special — Only $ 179.95!» Fine print says «Up to 2,000 square feet». For full disclosure, my home is listed at 2,180 square feet, but because of all the stuff inside, the actual square footage of the carpet to be cleaned is significantly less. The offer is not clear if the size relates to the size of the home or the amount of carpet to be cleaned. I assumed the latter since pricing should be tied to the amount of work that actually needs to be done.
Over the phone, the owner, Joshua, was very pleasant and spent more time than average asking questions about the property, all of which I answered clearly to give him a sense of the size of the home. He quoted me $ 175 based on our discussion which I expected him to honor.
On the day of the cleaning, Joshua called to say that they were running late and the arrival time would be noon. His worker actually showed up at 12:40 — nearly two hours late. Strike one.
After I walked the worker through the home, he called Joshua to indicate our house was three levels. The first «level» only consists of a formal living area that might be 200 sq ft of carpet. Maybe. Regardless, this now meant that the price had to be raised to $ 240 (over a 40% increase) due to the presence of this added «level», and at that price I was even getting a break because the «normal» price was $ 290. Strike two.
Part of our carpet area borders some tile, and the detergent pre-​treat when applied ends up covering part of the tile as well. Soap + smooth surface = trouble, so I expected that stuff to be wiped up before the worker left. Was not done. In addition, carpet is pretty damp — more so than I can remember with other carpet cleaners — and I am concerned about how long this is going to take to dry out. Strike three.
While the owner and worker were pleasant, you can’t pull these kinds of games when it comes to service and pricing. Provide a window and price that you can honor — if you fail to ask the right questions on the initial consultation, that is your fault and you should eat the error.
Too may other providers out there to recommend Josjua’s Carpet Cleaning. These guys are a one and done with me.

We received a coupon for Joshua’s Carpet Cleaning for a Large House Special of $ 179.95 (we were charged a flat $ 180). This was for up to 2000 square feet. We recently moved into a rental and the landlord never cleaned the carpets prior to our move in nor followed up post move as promised, so after considerable time we took it upon ourselves to get the carpets cleaned ourselves. When I phoned to schedule, I informed the owner Joshua that we were interested in the Large House Special and informed him of the number of rooms (upstairs, two downstairs, and stairs); that the carpets were very dirty with stains left by previous tenants; and that the total carpet space that needed to be cleaned was approx.1000 sqft (most of the house is wood laminate). I scheduled for first thing in the morning (9 a.m. Saturday) and the owner didn’t express any concerns with the appointment.
The crew member was over an hour late for our scheduled appointment (which seemed odd since we were the first appointment of the day). I took him through the rooms that needed to be cleaned and pointed out the trouble areas left by the previous tenants. At no time did the crew member express any concern about the condition of the carpet or the type of carpet we had. The crew member officially started cleaning about 90 minutes after the scheduled appointment time.
On a positive note, I will say that the crew member did a thorough job with what he was given and we were very pleased with the overall cleaning job, which took just under two hours to complete. Again, at NO TIME was any concern given to us about how long the job took or the type of carpets we had. The crew member was polite and like I said, he did a nice job. After he left we discussed using Joshua’s again and even recommending them to friends. So for the CLEANING portion of the review, four stars (one deducted because of starting 90 minutes after our scheduled appointment time.)
Fast forward to a same-​day call that came in at 5:00 that evening from the owner. Now, when an owner calls from a business it’s usually to ask the customer how did we like the service, etc., etc. But, no. Not from Joshua. He started right in with how big the job was (even though it was only 1000 sqft of carpet) and how long it took and how he will honor the coupon THIS TIME but next time it would be X amount (Um, ok. I wasn’t expecting to pay coupon price for next cleaning, but ok). But wait, there’s more. He continued on with how long the job took and that somehow it was MY fault that the crew member was late to their next scheduled appointment and how he was forced to offer a significant discount to that customer. Excuse me, but your crew member DID NOT START the cleaning process at my place until nearly 90 minutes AFTER our scheduled appointment time. Perhaps if the crew member arrived on time and got started on time he wouldn’t have been late to the next appointment, so how is that my fault again??? And it gets even better. Joshua then complains AGAIN that the job was way too big to honor the LARGE HOUSE SPECIAL (up to 2000 sqft) but although he will this time he felt I was dishonest because to coupon was for the TOTAL LIVING SPACE NOT THE AREA ACTUALLY CLEANED (the coupon didn’t specify that and why exactly?-he wasn’t hired to clean the hard wood flooring-​just the carpet (1000 soft). He then continued to berate me because I didn’t tell him it was «high quality carpet» that apparently screws up his equipment. Um, my husband and I rent. We did not choose the carpet and how would we know it was «high quality» carpet versus carpet that, as a professional cleaning service, you should be equipped to clean??? To top it off, after nearly every complaint about ME, the customer, he stated «you could choose our service again but I will have to charge you way more… or you could choose someone else…» Really? And this total unprofessional, nightmare of a call lasted more than five minutes… well, guess what, Joshua? Not only have you lost OUR future business (again, because of the cleaning that we were happy with we were considering using them again in the future AND recommending them to friends) but perhaps other potential customers as well after reading this review (I rarely take time to write a review or comment on Unilocal). So, if you are a potential customer (with perhaps a coupon in hand) considering Joshua’s Carpet Cleaning, take note. Yes, the carpets turned out great BUT if you want a service to arrive late and then be berated for THEIR lateness, type of carpet, and be charged for TOTAL LIVING SPACE and essentially be blamed for every poor business practice on their end, then Joshua’s Carpet Cleaning is for you.

I use Joshua’s carpet cleaning for about 5 years now and always recommend them to my friends and my clients. They did a great job in my house and other rental properties. The carpet and the rugs look great and like new. Their price is reasonable and affordable. They are very professional, honest, and on time. Great people to work with and I really appreciate them. I am very pleased with the service and will certainly recommend them again, and again, and again!

I have lived in my house for 10 years now and this is the first time I have had my carpets upstairs and stairs professionally cleaned (husband usually rents the rug doc and does it himself). Joshua’s Carpet Cleaning did an AMAZING job! Given he was a little surprised that my carpets were in pretty decent shape considering he’s the first to actually work on them. The owner Joshua is the guy that actually came to my house and did all the work. He gave me a 9−930am show up time frame and was on time. I know other Unilocalers indicated that they are usually late but in this business you can’t rush and it happens so it didn’t bother me if he was going to be late. Anyhow lets get back to the job at hand.
I paid only $ 120 to get 3 rooms, hallway and 16 stairs done. (Are we suppose to give them tip? I didn’t know so now I feel a littl bad I didn’t) I am very happy with the outcome of my carpets. Joshua was not only very nice but he was very professional. Other places I contacted gave me similar quotes however for some reason when I called Joshua’s it felt right. I am glad I went with Joshua’s Carpet Cleaning. I will be using them again in the future !

Our carpets were a mess. They came here in the time slot as promised. We had the whole 2 story house done. The carpets look great! He even moved some furniture that he didn’t have to to clean. I’d recommended them for sure.

I called on Tuesday and they were able to get the job done on Friday, they were prompt and I am very happy with the job that was done.

Joshua cleaned our carpets a few times and cleaned our tiles! Excellent job and good customer service!

I have used Joshua’s Carpets to clean my floors for the past 3 years– they are wonderful!
They originally came in to do a one-​time spring cleaning for me and then I saw how great my floors looked when they were done so I had them come every 6 months. I have a Labrador so my carpets need the constant upkeep! When I moved out of my condo about a month ago, Joshua came and did a move out clean on both my carpets and my hardwood floors– and they all shined. He also did a steam clean of my linoleum floors that were total garbage. Even those cleaned up really nicely!
They do run late sometimes, and don’t always give you a heads up. I’ve used them enough that I just trust they’ll be there within 30 mins of appt time. I’ve also been able to text them for emergency appointments (dog or events) which has come in handy more than a few times!

Reasonably priced and quality work. It would have been 5 stars but the tech showed up an hour later than the two-​hour window they gave me, and didn’t have the courtesy to call and let me know he was running behind.
Still, they did a good job. I’ll use them again.

We could still see that the carpet wasn’t fully cleaned after the company left. We then re-​shampooed our own carpets AFTER Joshua’s came in and the water was black.
We’re quite disappointed in their cleaning job. There wasn’t any furniture in the house when they came in, so it’s not like they were avoiding anything when cleaning. It could’ve been the person who came in to operate the machines or the machine itself. Either way, no thanks to another trial run with them.
My room actually hasn’t been re-​shampooed after Joshua’s initial cleaning, and there is quite a difference from the rest of the house.
