I completely agree with the other reviewer. Run down little shop. Definitely hit the Circle K in town or one of the many gas stations/​quickie marts before heading up to the lake.
This is the last stop where you can buy a Tonto Pass! The only reason we stopped in today was to pick up the Tonto Pass so that we could enjoy Canyon Lake. They were SOLD OUT! We ended up doubling back to Circle K. Actually worked out well because we were able to hit up the Slurpee machines!

It is what your expecting from a convenience store with a little more robbery from the patrons added. If you are heading to the lake, please gas up in AJ before heading out, this alone will save you some $$. If you don’t plan on buying the $ 10 min in the store, they won’t take your debit card, however a few sodas will add up quickly!
