Had a great experience with Anthony I depended on Unilocal to find a good mechanic must say my first experience was good and will come back if needed
Also wanted to mention that Anthony offered to pick me up to pick up my car … good customer service

So, just a little more than a year later we brought it back for a different issue and everything is still 5-​star. This time I did have it repaired and it’s now running better than I can remember for a long time.

My Ford F-​150 with high mileage had serious issues. Tony called and was very honest that fixing it may not make it work. He had one other previous vehicle with a similar issue and spent hours on it. I dropped my Truck off at 9 am and it was ready before 4pm. I’m glad I didn’t have to buy a new engine and it’s running great. My truck works and I now have a great mechanic!

I have nothing but great things to say about Tony and his shop. My wife and I were traveling from Las Vegas to Ventura and experienced a little car trouble shortly after Barstow. I contemplated turning around and going back to Barstow but my wife said we should just try and make it to Victorville. We Unilocaled an auto placed that may be able to help us out and we found A Accountable Auto Etc.
When we pulled up Tony seemed to be getting ready to shut the shop for the day but was more than willing to help us out. He took a look at the car and what he thought it was, was absolutely correct. It was an issue with the transmission but since it was a sealed transmission he couldn’t help us out.
He didn’t just send us on our mary way he got on the phone and called the local dealership to see what time they were open till.
Other shops might have just shut the doors on our face but that is not the case here. Tony was more than kind to my wife and I.
I wish I could have given Tony our business but if we ever are in there area with car troubles this will be the only shop we go to.

If I could give 0 Stars I would [honestly]…was driving through the area and decided to stop by and have my brakes inspected… considering it’s been awhile since I’ve had them done and was preparing to go ahead and take care of it since I was almost certain I needed them done because the fronts felt a bit low. However, the Unilocal reviewer who stated he did his brake inspection done for free… well, good for you, because he sure didn’t for me… wanted to charge me $ 59 for a simple brake inspection and of course stated it would apply towards my bill if I needed them, but if not, I would still have to pay. What does this mean? he doesn’t play fair as a business man, which speaks volume of his character. He doesn’t charge those whom he doesn’t want too, and he charges all others. Sorry buddy, I’ll simply go some where else… as there are too many shops that offer free brake inspection… especially for first time customers… as myself, whom would’ve been a returning loyal and referring one. However, I’m actually glad I didn’t allow this shop to service my vehicle as the energy was extremely off from the moment I walked in. I actually felt very uneasy which is typically a bad sign in my opinion… and I’m usually right. Moving on…

Honest, fair, and reliable are the best ways to describe the shop. They stand behind recommendations and repairs. They will treat you right. If you don’t know cars or repairs and need to trust the advice of a mechanic, this is the place to go.

It is with joy and satisfaction that I offer my five star review and recommendation to the others already posted. I first became acquainted with Tony when he and his sons were a part of our local Boy Scout troop. At the time, I frequented other shops for my auto needs with mixed experiences. Tony never pushed his own business or bad-​mouthed other shops in the area (traits I personally dislike in a business man). When my mechanic’s business closed, I considered Tony’s and stopped by. That was about ten years ago. Since then I have found Tony to consistently be in business what he is in person — friendly, honest, forthright, devoted to God, and a caring individual for his family as well as customers. Tony has been committed to completing work on our car in a professional and excellent manner. Trusting our automotive needs to him, we are confident in our vehicle’s ability to perform as expected.

Tony and his staff are great. I tried this shop a couple years ago after another mechanic misdiagnosed a problem we were having with one of our cars. Tony got right down to business and correctly diagnosed the problem. He’s very knowledgeable and goes out of his way for elite customer service. I would not take my car any other place than Tony’s.

Giving 5 for excellent customer service. I asked if they could have given me an estimate on a car’s condition, but tony said right away that he is not the expert on that but referred me to a good place. Very professional.

First of all, THE Unilocal LOCATION IS WRONG. I got super lost, but I called the business, and Tony himself directed me there. He was super nice and patient.
My car was all kinds of messed up and he had it up and running early the next afternoon after I dropped it off, even though I dropped it off near closing time the previous day.
He did his inspection and called with an estimate. I was never left wondering about what it was going to cost me.
He’s a good, honest local business owner. He’s got GREAT customer service skills and he’s pretty funny, too.
But most importantly, my car runs like a champ again… and I don’t feel robbed.

This is a family run business who answers to a higher authority. I have an older Subaru that has been requiring more service and repair as of late. I originally took my car in for a second opinion on a (supposedly) necessary repair from what turned out to be an unscrupulous local auto repair shop. I have been confidently patronizing Tony, his family and friendly staff for the last three years and am pleased to share with you this fine auto repair shop.
Their work is quick, fairly priced and Tony and crew stand behind their work. He is a little difficult to find (just behind Jiffy Lube) off Highway 18 in Apple Valley but I know they will take good care of what’s legitimately wrong with my car without any shenanigan. I do not hesitate to recommend A Accountable Auto Service to my friends and family.

Really really prompt and extremely friendly. Nice attitude and good work ethic. It’s great to finally have a reliable honest mechanic in the desert. I almost didn’t write this review in fear that it will eventually become too crowded. :(
Also, we got lost because Unilocal has the wrong location (?) it’s pretty much behind the JiffyLube on outer HWY 18.

Last night I pulled into the garage and smoke was coming out from under the hood. I freaked out a bit — but all my gauges looked fine. This morning I called Accountable Auto to make an appointment. I talked to Tony and he asked me a few questions about the smell, and the color of the smoke, etc. He told me to to check my fluids and then check under the car to see if some plastic bag had blown under the car and might be burning. Sure enough, we checked under the car and there was a plastic bag. Thanks Tony! Didn’t even have to bring it in. Boy was I relieved! I thought for sure something terrible was wrong! If I ever need a repair — this is the shop!

Tony, the owner, answered the phone and I dealt with him start to finish. He’s got a 4 bay shop behind the Jiffy Lube off Highway 18 and Apple Valley Rd. I went to him today based on the other 3 reviews I read. To be honest, I called him first since everyone else had only 1 review, and places with single reviews can be iffy. Even only 3 reviews is not so great, but he had the most and all positive so I thought I would give it a shot.
Just needed a couple basic things. Oil change and a radiator flush and air filter. But he checked the whole car out since I had bought it used a few months back. Even put it on a scope, no charge. What I wanted done set me back $ 115. A competitor down the street quoted me over $ 300 for both!
I only have one vehicle and they offered to drive me back home and pick me back up and I live about 4 miles away. What service! The guy who wanted to charge me 3 bills would do neither. He had it all done in about 4 hours. nice.
He probably could have gotten me for more if he wanted since there was a faulty ABS sensor going lighting up. Instead it just needed to be reconnected– no charge. :)
Also, he saw timing belt had been changed when it was supposed to, and he could have gotten me on that one too I think.
The car did need some fairly major repairs but they could wait awhile and they were honest with me about that they were not urgent but needed to be done at some point. They also did free brake inspection and inspected my tires and made good recommendations on a good place to buy tires, America’s Tires. My next stop.
Tony is a good guy and a straight shooter. So far so good.

I can’t recommend a better place for auto service. Tony and his crew are great and honest. Me and my parents used to brag about are mechanics and would refuse to try eachothers out, turned out we had the same mechanic. LOL A Accountable Auto is not like any dealerships or any other auto service place. They don’t try to sell you things you don’t need. That’s an other reason why I can say,” I feel comfotable going here.” I appreciate them telling me that they know exactly what the problem is and it’s up to me when I want to take care of it. Tony and the crew at A Accountable Auto are as honest and skilled as any mechanics you’ll find anywhere. If you’re tired of the big dealerships overdiagnosing and overcharging you this is the place. I take all three of my vehicles plus my girlfriend’s to A Accountable Auto and have never been disappointed with the care I received. Several times Tony has even recommended less expensive options when I already approved more extensive service. That kind of savings and honesty will keep me coming back for life! We have domestic, import and even diesel vehicles, and Tony keeps them all running like champs. I cannot give a higher recommendation.
