Meet the Business Owner

Steve V.

Business Owner

Steve started cleaning pools with his brother-in-law when he was 16. He would ride around with him to pick up some extra cash, but it quickly grew into a passion. A few years later Steve put together a business plan with advertising ideas and catchy slogans to get his foot in the door. Once he had their attention, Steve had a way of winning over even the toughest critics.

Steve went on to meet the founder and owner of California Pools. This was a chance encounter. He took Steve under his wing and showed him the ropes.

From that experience, Steve apprenticed under other pool companies to gain knowledge and experience. He worked with a few other companies to get a feel for the different ways they ran their businesses and what worked best, so he could adjust his thinking and attitude about how best to run a business.
