Probably the worst coffee place I’ve ever had coffee. I normally love coffee from Coffee Bean. However, there are always exceptions. This place would be the exception. I order a small iced vanilla coffee what I purchased was a small iced vanilla coffee. I got everything short of a small iced vanilla coffee. I was the only person in line. The person before me had probably waiting for his drink for about 5 minutes. There were two girls working. One was the cashier, the other, the barista. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the guy finally got his drink. Then it was my turn. I got my drink in 10 minutes. Mind you, there is no one else in line. The barista who worked tonight asked me what drink I was waiting for. I told her, «a small iced vanilla coffee.» She then got the gallon of milk out. I asked her if it was for my drink. She replied«yes.» I told her that my drink doesn’t have milk. She looked at me, and then was like«Oh yeah, you’re right.» Then she measured the coffee grind, and after whisking in the vanilla powder, poured more than the amount of water she was supposed to, into the measuring cup. She gave me my drink, which was watered down. My caffeine remained in the measuring cup. Stated in another way, she poured way too much water into the measuring cup. After doing that, she poured my drink from the measuring cup into a small cup, and it did not fit. End result? I received a drink with 50x less the caffeine I should have received, and a drink that just tasted like water and vanilla powder. I will NOT be returning to this Coffee Bean!

I usually really like Coffee Bean, this time I decided to try one of their new Tea Granatas. I guess this is a slushy tea, but it really wasn’t that great. The top ¼ of the cup was all foam from the blender, and there just wasn’t enough ice to make it very slushy. When I received it, it was more like a tea with a lot of melted ice in it. Bummer because it was tasty.

Usually I don’t leave bad reviews. Usually I don’t ENJOY leaving bad reviews, and usually this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is a 3.9, tops. I guess this isn’t a «unusual» situation, regarding that I understand that bartistas are only human and make mistakes. Normally the people who work at this island coffee bar get my order on the spot and I leave(relatively) satisfied. I say that because I’m a Starbucks go-er. But whoever the older woman & younger man with 2007 scene hair were working on Sunday, September 20th, around 8:45AM totally scared me into running to Starbucks forever with my tail between my legs. I have never been served by them before, but I wouldn’t have placed my bets on solely that. I gave it a chance. Why not, right? Sigh, Wrong. I order a SMALL hot vanilla, & show the woman my 10% off«Pouring Happy» card that doesn’t expire until September 30th. She says«Okay» yet proceeds to charge me for a medium. I’m like«Alright, maybe she heard me say large and I’m getting that for the price of the medium.’» Nope. The male barista starts my hot vanilla in a small cup. Which means not only did she charge me extra but I didn’t get the discount either. Me being a total pushover, I figure the extra $ 1 charge won’t kill me. They’re chit chatting the whole time and though I wasn’t eavesdropping, that should have tipped me off as well. Because when he’s finally done with my drink & I’m halfway across the mall parking lot I stop to take a sip and, Coffee.

When we go to Westfield, we know two things are certain: one, we’re going to take a look at Sports Chalet and two, we know we are going to stop off at Coffee Bean for a drink. As a former CBTL barista, I am super picky about how my drinks are made. Temperature, foam consistency, sweetness, specifically. I’m mostly let down at CB, but the boyfriend loves their drinks. Because lattes usually come out disappointing, I just ask for a regular drip and doctor it to my liking. The problem with this is that some workers aren’t changing out the coffee as often as they should(every 30 minutes when I was working) On average, this kiosk gets it right. Last year, I would have ranked them a 3, but lately I’ve had very consistent drinks. Even if you’re low carb-ing, you can always get no sugar added drinks. And, in addition to soy, they offer almond coconut milk(which is under 1 g carb)

Update! Harley took the time to recommend a drink and I was very happy with the service and quality. Because of the consistent friendly service… And it could be because Starbucks is now open… I believe this review needed an update. Keep it up!

Love the Santa Anita CBLT. Staff is friendly and nice. Most of the time it is super busy, but it’s slowed, maybe because a Starbucks opened at the end of the Mall in the food court… I enjoy the Ultimate Caramel Ice Blended, it is creamy and smooth.

Came here yesterday as my first stop before shopping because I knew I would need some energy. Was greeted by Jimmy who was very helpful and nice. Ordered my usual regular white chocolate ice blended, double blended, no whip. Harley made my wonderful drink to perfection. Tasted super excellent, made with love. They handed me the cup with friendly smiles and made my day. I would absolutely return to this location. Thank you Harley and Jimmy for being so awesome and excellent.

Love Jennifer, and the rest of the staff! Always great service, They know me by name(and order) and the drinks are always delicious. We have a couple of coffee options at this mall but I’ll choose this coffee bean every time!

I’ve always received pleasant service and consistent quality drinks from the Coffee Bean kiosk in the mall. AFAIK the prices here are the same as any other location. Good choice for a mid-shopping pick me up!

I love coffee bean period! Like their drink always are so delicious. One thing that made me mad about this location was the barista Ariel. She was totally rude. From all my experience from coffee bean I never had someone who was so mean to a customer. So I been to this coffee bean. pleanty of times and the other barists were always friendly and kind. Its another story with Ariel like when you order a tea your able to get refills. I always order my usual tea here and get a refill before I leave the mall and never had a problem but when I was trying to gget my refill she denied me saying no I can’t give you the refill. I told her that I always was able to get a refill and she keep saying no which an additude. She needs to get train on her customer service skills. This made me not want to return back to this coffee bean I guess I’ll go get my tea somewhere else!

Honestly, very plain jane and nothing awesome. The coffee doesn’t have that quality taste to em(almost watered down) and their lattes are nothing to be WOW’d over… for a large coffee chain I’d prefer Starbucks. HOWEVER, it is nice that they have daily teas to choose from(even if they’re almost always the same flavors every day). Like many other reviewers mentioned, they are not always fully stocked on milk/honey/stirrers and whatnot, BUT I’ve always had nice employees who do try to make my drink taste as yummy as possible(still ends up meh, but hey, they tried right?) My fave is probably their chai latte, as the coffees just can’t compete with other chains.

Great place to get your drink and sit and people watch. Great customer service and really nice people. If you can’t decide they will offer great suggestions. I try and always stop by when I’m in the mall.

Worst service ever! Where is a Starbucks ?! I asked for a large cup of hot water, the cashier said no even if I paid for it(with an attitude). The café at Nordstorm was able to give a large cup of hot water.

I have very mixed feelings about this Coffee Bean location. While it is the closest Coffee Bean location to where it is, I’m not at all pleased at the quality; mainly how this site seems to overload everything with ICE. I love Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. See my reviews of the one in Irvine, because they all do things a little differently. That said, they mainly all taste the same as they use the same ingredients but vary in quantity or in technique employed to make them. Overall I would not come back to this particular location unless I’m really really craving for a taste of Coffee Bean.

A great idea to have a Coffee Bean inside the mall. Some days when you are waking up super early to go shopping and forget to get a cup of joe this will be a perfect place to go and get it! Located inside the Santa Anita Mall this Coffee Bean does get very busy. They don’t always have clean tables but if you are just getting a cup of coffee and head to another store I like it ! But if you compare it to other Coffee bean locations this place is not doing a really good job. I have been here before where they didn’t have any sugars in the area nor water or stirrers.

This is sort of a kiosk CB&TL so it’s not as good as the store front locations, but their frozen sugar free coffee drinks are still great! If you are in the mall and need coffee, I think you’d be happy with this, but for the full CB&TL experience, you need to go to a real one.
