History

Established in 2012.

We started in the bed bug business almost out of necessity: we had ‘em. Like nearly 100% of our clients, we first tried to do it ourselves and save the $ 2,200 we were quoted by the exterminators.

When the do-​it-​yourself method failed, we paid. The «exterminators» came in with, well, «steamers.»

Apparently not very good ones.

The bed bugs were still there when they left. So we paid, again. We simply knew no better. It then became our passion to get educated on everything bed bug, buy the latest bed bug killing machines available, and start an honest, affordable bed bug elimination company using ONLY the latest technology. Our techs get paid based the quality of the eradication, not «by the job.»

I came back from a trip overseas and unfortunately brought back more than gifts with me. I called Bed Bugs and Beyond on a Sunday morning and Charlie was at my place within a couple of hours, worked straight through the early morning and treated my entire place. He was super responsive, knowledgable, helpful and determined to get the job done and ensure I was satisfied — honestly one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I especially liked their process of both steaming and treatment, which eliminated the need to wash and high temp dry all of my belongings — something I was dreading. Charlie has also been great addressing my follow-​up questions. I would recommend them to anyone with a similar problem!

Charlie and his partner Rocky were the best of the best. My roommates and I had been living in our rental for just a few weeks when I found a bed bug in my bed. I called them and they came immediately to inspect our entire house. They were so friendly and comforting that they made this traumatic experience a little less daunting.
A couple of weeks after they treated our house for bed bugs, we found a couple of carpet beetles in our beds and one on our counter. I texted Charlie pictures of the bugs at 11:30 PM and received a response right away confirming that they were indeed carpet beetles (they look eerily similar to bed bugs). To put me at ease, they showed up first thing the next morning to inspect the bugs in person before treating our house for carpet beetles and including it in our warranty. They were also very helpful in explaining the situation to our landlords, constructing an extremely thorough narrative for me to pass along to them.
I highly recommend Bed Bug & Beyond. It has now been 9 months since our house was treated and we haven’t seen any critters since. THANK YOU CHARLIE AND ROCKY!

Rocky and Charlie were incredibly hard working, thorough, and kind. They even inspected our cars. After we did our research, we knew only the heat method would work. Living frugally has its benefits: I can change my own oil, hem my own
slacks, and make my own laundry detergent.
And then my DC apartment got bed bugs. I picked up the phone and called some
local professionals, though I was convinced I could do this myself. Bed Bug
& Beyond didn’t hang up on me when I told them this.
They even suggested I notify my landlord, research the DC Tenant Bill of
Rights and the «warranty of habitability.»
They also told me what to look out for if my landlord sends in an
exterminator who insists on «spraying”– cheap and virtually 100% useless
against bed bugs. (And Guess who my landlord sent?!)
Had I simply followed the sage advice they gave me from the jump I would
have saved my bed, my mattress, and a 3 year relationship. I also nearly
lost my job from the stress and lack of sleep.
I decided to cut my losses. Bed Bug & Beyond is coming after Veterans Day to
do the job I should have had them do over 2 months ago.
I’m still frugal with pretty much everything… except my dental work – and
now bed bugs!

We had no idea what was causing welt like blisters on our 3 year old grandchild. Soon thereafter my wife went ballistic when we confirmed a bed bug infestation. If it could happen in this building I guess it could happen anywhere. We called around and received estimates that were literally thousands apart. We settled with Bedbugsbeyond as it was like dealing with an undercover detective. Not only did they pass by our doorman as someone not associated with this gruesome type activity, their vehicle is unmarked as well. Then, like a detective, they looked using all types of equiptment that later I became aware was the best on the market.
About a week after the warranty expired my wife noticed a welt on herself and called them back expecting to pay something. They came back the very same day we called to inspect and found nothing. More surprising, they didn’t even charge us for the return visit. Its been several months since and they have not reappeared. Between
price, and quality of work, I highly reccomend this company.
