Love this place. I don’t like seafood so I’m always apprehensive about eating somewhere that specializes in it. However, loving me shouldn’t mean seafood is off the table so I suck it up and try to be cool. I had a grilled cajun chicken breast, red beans and rice, hush puppies and fried pickles. Everything was incredibly well done. The drinks were good, the service was perfect and the restaurant was dark and cozy. This one definitely makes it into the rotation.

Server was nice but the All You Can Eat crab deal is not worth the $ 35 price. It comes with NO seasoning(that’s .50 extra) one small half corn on the cob and one small red potato, again, none of it is seasoned and you do not get any extra of the corn/potatoes. The crabs were not steaming hot but more like warm when we got them. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu. This was my first and probably last visit.

I come to this place every time I want Blackened fish and it’s the best. I have never been dissatisfied.

Oyster Nachos!!! You can’t go wrong there. Their Crab Cake sandwich is also very good and refreshing. I absolutely love this chain. I’m a regular at the one in Irving and I’ve driven from Bedford to Southlake during lunch before because I was craving this place so much.

I love this place! We come here all the time because the food is always amazing, there is lots of parking, and there is never a wait. If you like Cajun authentic food this is the place to come! I have been here several times. I usually get the shrimp and grits or the Cajun half and half. Both of those meals are absolutely amazing. Today I tried something new. I got the honey spicy shrimp tacos with a side of cheese grits. The tacos had a sweet tangy taste to it with a little spicyness. The cheese grits were great, the perfect texture and the perfect amount of geese. My husband got the boiled shrimp which he really liked. We have also had the craw fish which is exceptionally good and spicy. The service is always really good. They great you when you walk in. All the servers are very nice and friendly. You don’t have a long wait like you would at razoos. We have never had to wait in fact. It’s a very homey feeling place and it seems not too many people know about it. It’s in a shopping area so there is lots of parking around. I would recommend this place to anyone in Arlington or visiting Arlington.

I will keep this review short… If you are in the Highlands & want something different, this place has a NOLA flair. The crawfish was superbly spicy and fresh, if over-priced. The crab bisque was oddly tomato-based. The servers here do not appear to help each other. We had to wait a very long time for our server as he was finishing up a very large party. The other two servers walked past us numerous times without even an acknowledgement of our existence. The hostesses did not know if they had boiled crawfish. The food made up for most of this, but… the hurricanes were not right… more like a rum version of a tequila sunrise. Once our server got free from his large table, he was very attentive and prompt. I am intrigued by some of the other menu options like the Oyster Nachos. In fact, had I not needed to get home early today, I might have stopped there for lunch.

The service and presentation were great, but the food actually looked better than it tasted. I had the combo meal… Fried shrimp were great. Catfish was to soft and mushy. Waffle fries were horrible, they were cold and not crispy. Cold slaw was pretty good. Friendly service and Caitlyn was a great server… She was on point in her timing…

Service and atmosphere is good and usually is. My issue is with the food on my recent visit. The Redfish Lafayette was terrible. Weak piece of fish, in a very dry cube of cornbread. They said it was jalapeño but there was very little kick of jalapeño to it. It was supposed to come with asparagus and they substituted bad mixed veggies without even letting me know before my food was delivered. Like no big deal, except the veggies were bad, warm at best and not acceptable. For the price paid this was the worst meal I have had at a Fish City in probably 100+ visits. They offered a free desert as a remedy. Still paid full price of $ 24-$ 5 for a terrible entrée. Service was good, manager never even came to our table. Pathetic leadership. But waiter and the rest of the staff was outstanding in attempting to cover for a bad cook and a manager who appeared to not care. We have other options for our food dollars.

Best waiter ever! What a fun, yummy place and a fantastic waiter– Dalan. Try the fish tacos, peel and eat shrimp, fried shrimp and fish and chips– be sure Dalan is there as he made us all happy and will go back because of him. Amazing!

I love this place. I’ve been a few times. The first time, I ordered the fish tacos. They are more like burritos, but OMG, they were so delicious. The drink specials are great as well. I’ve been for the reverse happy hour during the week and the happy hour all day on Sunday. There is a drink called Frog something I believe… you only need like 2 of them. I think that may be the limit on them anyway. This place is never really crowded and it’s a great place to have lunch or dinner with a friend. I also highly recommend the shrimp boil special on Sundays. So delicious and seasoned perfectly. I ordered chicken and shrimp last time. I would have liked more seasoning, but I’m from the bayou so maybe it’s just me. Still delicious, but fish tacos is still in the lead. Here is my entrée from last time.

We also ordered rainbow trout, Gulf shrimp and oyster nachos. We all enjoyed our meal. Thank you, our 2nd time here was enjoyable and did was delicious.

Alright, there aren’t a lot of seafood places around any more so this is a tuff one. Fish city is kinda average. They’ve never had anything I went«wow» about and it’s a little expensive. My kid really loves their fried pickles but how can you screw that up? Update: I added a star because there Chipotle tacos were delicious and spicy on my last visit. Good job, keep it up!

First impressions, very laid back, bar fully stock and staff very attentive, prices reasonable and menu variety. So for a laid back day it was a nice experience. Four stars because even though it was a nice experience but nothing above board.

There’s not much to say. It’s a simple seafood place. Nothing too extraordinary or amazing. But the oyster nachos is a must try. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and service was good and fairly quick.

We visited here on Veteran’s day because my hubby, a veteran, could get a free entrée, up to $ 18.99! His entrée wasn’t that much; however, they still deducted that from the bill. Hubby started with a dozen raw oysters($ 16) and said they were tasty and delish. Oddly enough, they did not cut the muscle when prepping them, so they were more difficult to eat than at other places. I started with a house salad($ 4), with 1000 island, and it was crisp, fresh and had candied pecans in it, which really added to the taste. Ross opted for the seafood platter, with catfish, shrimp and oysters($ 16) which was a massive amount of fried goodness and some seriously delicious cheese grits… so good, I stole some! I went with the generic fish and chips($ 12) and loved it! The batter was just right, crispy and crunchy and the fish was so moist and flakey. Yum! Only about three tables total in here, so service was spotty… I had to go to the bar to get a coffee refill which was a drag, considering the workers has seriously nothing else to do. So, next year, bring all your Veterans… our waiter Cody even thanked my husband for his service.

Nice little place. Huge plus happy all day on Sundays. Love that! A friend of mine had the crab cake and steam crab legs she enjoyed both her plate. I had the calamari and it was fairly good. After a while the grease started to settle and i couldn’t finish it. Both of us thought it was good for the price but could have use more seasoning. We will be back for the all you can eat crab legs on Wednesdays and the all day happy hours on Sunday’s.
