Yummy! Nice and clean. Good yogurt. Pretty sure one of the only frozen yogurt shops in the crystal city area.

This is one of the many self serve frozen yogurt places that have sprung up in the DC area. It’s okay but nothing special and a little below average. They don’t have as many flavors as some places and the toppings don’t look especially fresh. Not sure what the hours are since it’s June and shorter winter hours were listed on the door but they were open later. They have lots of seating but have some random strobe lights like they’re a club which a little weird. Place is decent if you’re in the area and really want frozen yogurt but I’ve had better.

I was next door at Kabob Palace with my friends and decided to stop by for desert. It looked clean, very empty, which is understandable since it’s winter. But the froyo was very disappointing. The froyo machines were poorly managed, toppings mostly empty and old. I was understanding about that since they don’t want to waste money. But the most disappointing thing was the taste. Other than the chocolate and the old school flavors, the flavors were very lacking, most of them didn’t even taste like its name said. I was truly unhappy with this visit. Never coming again.

I really wanted this place to be successful, and I was generous with my initial rankings because the place was new and I saw significant improvement after a rocky start. But after my last two experiences, I’m going to drastically drop the rating for a variety of reasons: 1. Lack of consistent Froyo quality: Most of the time it’s a disgusting watery mess. It seems like it’s mostly the fruit flavors that have a weird consistency and come out melted, something I’ve never experienced at other Froyo places. The best flavor is cookies and cream, which is consistently creamy and in a state resembling frozen yogurt. All the others… pull the lever at your own risk. 2. The toppings are NEVER fresh: This is probably the most disappointing aspect of this place — they leave the toppings out for way too long. The result is clumpy melted chocolate sticking together(I’ve seen the candy completely rock hard to the point where you couldn’t stick the spoon into it). The fruit is borderline rotten and gross. Even the highly processed sugar items(gummy worms, gummy bears, nerds, etc), which I didn’t even know go bad, are frequently stale. I wouldn’t be surprised if at the end of the night they just put them in the refrigerator and use them again the next day. 3. The«rewards» card is a joke: Like other Froyo places, if you are a repeat customer you’ll receive a free ice cream after your seventh or eighth order. In most places this means you get a FULLSIZE frozen yogurt cup or $ 4 off. Not here — check out the picture below. Your free cup is ½ the size of the regular cup!!! Why Froyo, why? Why would you skimp on your«reward» card? Get with the program. I’ll end by saying that I’ve never been so disappointed in a place as I am with Froyo To Go. This place has gone completely off the rails, and is in need of a drastic overhaul in order to earn back my business. Until it(1) works out that froyo recipe so that it’s not a watery mess,(2) stops cutting corners and gives customers FRESH toppings, and(3) stop insulting me with the terrible bait-and-switch rewards card, I’ll be driving to Sweet Frog for my frozen yogurt needs.

Organic Froyo that definitely tastes organic. Do not expect this place to taste like a sweet frog or tutti frutti. The froyo has a different taste but didn’t bother me. This is about 10 cents more per ounce more than the other froyo places. Liked that there was plenty of seating and that they were open late on a weekday. I took a star away because the toppings didn’t look fresh and like they had been re-used for who knows how long! Mostly fruit flavors I loved the pink guava, honeydew, and lychee most of all. The cashier wasn’t exactly the nicest, she didn’t seem like a warm and fuzzy type. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if I’m next to kabob palace I might come back! The advantage here is that while kabob palace is packed and you have to fight for seating, this place is a nice contrast with plenty of chairs asking to be loved. Good place to loiter! :)

A longtime FroYo connoisseur, this place just wasn’t up to snuff. Despite a variety of flavors, the 5 or 6 I tried were were watery and bland. My friend had the same assessment. Born and raised in the sticks, I give a nod to organic as much as the next farm girl, but it was overpriced. Way overpriced. Total downer — No free fudge like other comparable chains offer! The ambiance is an odd mix of European techno and minimalistic, but was clean and welcoming none the less.

Consistently has best flavors and toppings around. Clean and cheerful too! Easy to bike to the four mile run trail from here and is a block away from capital bikeshare station. Free WiFi, two tv’s, laid back atmosphere

Number one, this place is organic. Or at least it advertises as such. I didn’t see any USDA seal of approval but I’ll accept it. Secondly, the sign says 4 oz. of yogurt is 90 calories. Not sure how accurate that is to apply 90 calories to all the flavors across the board but I’ll accept that too. The flavors they offered were pretty good. I tried about 6 of them and then decided to go with the chocolate mixed with cookies & cream. I really enjoyed it. It was light, flavorful and refreshing. I didn’t add any toppings but my coworkers did and they appeared to enjoy it. When I am in the mood for yogurt, this is my new go-to spot. The store is super cute with bright colors. And there is a lot of space and seating so you can bring a big party here. It is a bit pricey. They charge $ 0.59 per ounce.

Amazing tasting flavors and lots of toppings. Guava, lychee, honeydew, chocolate, cookies and cream, watermelon, tangerine, just some of the flavors they had. Guava was amazing, and so was the one next to it, which I can’t remember what it was. The fact that this place is organic as well is a plus! They had lots of seating and the place was very clean.

It drives me crazy when I read reviews, but don’t listen to what they’re saying. This is a perfect example. I thought«well, those bad reviews were just because the place was new. Surely it’s better now.» It’s not. It’s more expensive than other fro yo places [or their scale is off], the frozen yogurt isn’t actually frozen [it’s soupy], the toppings were stale [I had chocolate covered pretzels that were chewy]. And all of the flavors that worked [cookies and cream was out] other than chocolate or vanilla were fruit flavors. All in all, this place was a big disappointment.

My girlfriend and I went here on a whim to get some froyo to go yo but were left pretty disappointed. The yogurt selection is pretty good actually, with a bit more emphasis on fruity flavors. The problem is those selections don’t taste very good. All of them would never be mistaken for the real deal. Also this place seemed a bit expensive to me. It’s one of those«fill it up yourself and we’ll charge you by weight» places. I definitely went a little heavy on toppings but comeon — 9 dollars for a medium? I ain’t that fat. Beyond the lackluster flavor the machines were not keeping the yogurt cold enough and it was very soupy. Within 10 minutes it was an amorphous cold liquid. Do yourself a favor — stick with pinkberry if you want real yogurt

The place is ok and the staff friendly. If you’re walking by and need to cool off this might be the place.

I love froyo. When I saw that Froyo To Go was opening up in Crystal City, I decided to pop in and give them a shot about 2 weeks after they opened. I grabbed a sample cup and went for basic vanilla, but the machine was broken. So I tried chocolate. It was awful. It was the worst chocolate tasting thing I’ve ever had. I made for one of the fruit flavored one and it was just as bad as the others so I left without actually ordering anything because honestly, it was the worst froyo I’ve ever tasted.
