I was looking for a new Chiropractor in the area since my move. My co-​worker highly recommended Dr. Ziegler her words were true he is an excellent provider. Dr. Ziegler addressed my concerns regarding my sciatic and neck issues explained to me what was going on and how I can help myself at home with needed stretches along with seeing him for adjustments. All I can say he is the one Chiropractor who I do not have to see once a week or every other week. He started off by seeing me in the beginning more frequently after a few months it has been once a month for maintenance unless I do something crazy during crossfit. I have been fixed! The front staff is great no matter what time of day they are always available to fit me into Dr. Ziegler’s schedule.

Well I am back to see Dr. Ziegler I am about 19 weeks pregnant and I haven’t been able to sleep well since my hip bone was bothering me and now I see him… he is awesome and I feel better and better everyday!!! So I can say he is the best in pregnancy chiropractor!!!

I came to the office because of a sports injury — the people at the front desk were fantastic, extremely polite & helpful in getting me an appointment as quickly as possible. I have a rather complicated insurance but they did an amazing job in talking with them so I could get my sessions approved. Dr. Ziegler was just fantastic — from the beginning he made me feel comfortable and that they would help me through my recovery. Additional to my treatment he suggested other exercises I could incorporate to my workout routine that would also help with my overall performance. I really liked his approach and the follow-​up he did on my case. I’m glad I found them!

I have been treated at the Advanced Health Center the last six months and have received top notch care and attention from everyone in Dr. Ziegler’s staff. My experience from the inception has been nothing but professional, thorough, friendly, and caring. From the very beginning, I was treated well and continue to be treated fantastic by the group. With that being said, keep in mind that this office is very busy and with the number of people that are treated by Dr. Ziegler and the staff, there can be a high level of anonymity. Not in this clinic they always make you feel that you are important and your care is very high priority. I am lucky to have found this clinic, the team at the front desk Amanda, Joanna, Lin and Sora are just the sweetest and most professional human beings. They always have a smile on their face and always make me feel welcome.
Dr. Ziegler and the staff are an incredible group of people dealing with an incredible amount of pressure to make sure everyone is well taken care of and they do a GREAT JOB!!!

I have been going to Dr. Z for a few months now and my leg pain is gone, never returned. I enjoy seeing Dr. Z as the appointments are relaxing and feel great. The staff is warm and friendly. I can’t thank them enough for getting me back to great health.

I found Dr. Ziegler at Advanced Health Center in Arlington VA through my insurance network and I have been a patient since May 2014. I have been receiving regular chiropractic treatments for lower back and shoulder injuries from him. Dr. Ziegler diagnosed me with a compressed disc in my lower back after x-​rays. As to my ongoing back and shoulder chiropractic treatments from Dr. Ziegler, I am astounded with the recovery progress. I was a skeptic at first. My lower back pain is nearly completely gone; I originally could not get out of bed in the morning and walk/​stand/​sit without pain. My shoulder has drastically recovered, about 95%, from a workout injury and now I am able to use it again. Now, it is no longer an issue I have to live with.
Dr. Ziegler is highly certified, trained, and educated, and he knows his stuff. He has been very detailed, communicative, and informative about my injuries and course of treatment. I always feel much better after he physically cracks and loosens my back and shoulders.
Dr. Ziegler, the receptionists, nurses, technicians, and other doctors are very friendly and easy to work with. After a while, everyone seems to know your name and you no longer become just a number. Appointments are easy to make, you don’t feel like they are doing you a favor by taking your appointment, an experience I have had with other health care providers. The nurses and technicians that administer part of my chiropractic treatments are the friendliest people you will meet and are very attentive. The center is upfront with the cost and deals with your insurance directly once your co-​pays or deductibles are met. I have not had to deal with my insurance company since day one, and I’m very grateful.

I’m also very grateful for Dr. Ziegler for my ongoing recovery. I am now a believer that good regular chiropractic treatment is essential to healthy living especially if you want to be an active person. I highly recommend Dr. Ziegler.

I’ve been going to Dr. Ziegler for about a year now and couldn’t recommend him any more highly! The staff is super friendly, scheduling is flexible (including early evening appointments), and they understand when last-​minute things come up and I need to shift my appointment (granted, I don’t do this often, but it’s nice that they don’t charge me for it!)
I’ve had ongoing back stiffness ever since a car accident about 7 years ago and with all the groupon specials for chiropractors, I figured I’d give it a try and went to my first chiropractor (not Dr. Ziegler). Then I learned my insurance covers it for a $ 15/​visit copay (MUCH cheaper than the groupons!) and kept going. After a month or two with that person, I decided I wanted someone closer to home and I found Dr. Ziegler via Unilocal.
Dr. Ziegler did a thorough intake process, discussing my lifestyle, what I was looking for, the causes of the problem, etc. (MUCH more thorough than the other chiro). After about a month with Dr. Ziegler, he noticed my stiffness wasn’t decreasing as quickly as he would expect and he suspected there might be a structural cause (something my previous chiropractor had never even considered), so he sent me for an MRI – turns out I had a bulging disc. That diagnosis allowed him to properly adjust treatment and I’ve made great strides since then.
Dr. Ziegler also does acupuncture, which I’d love to try for allergies, but my insurance doesn’t cover that and I can’t afford the cost out-​of-​pocket. That said, when I mentioned my allergy problems to Dr. Z, he made several other recommendations for how I could control my allergies short of allergy shots and drugging myself to high heaven (as I’d previously done) and acupuncture. His suggestions (twice-​daily use of a neti pot, among other things) has worked wonderfully and I’ve had the best allergy season (which for me lasts from March-​October!) I’ve ever had in DC.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ziegler for several years. I have continued to be a patient of his because i always get great results from my treatments. I went originally for disc bulges and lower back pain — tha pain is now completely gone. I also went for a broken ankle about a year ago which affected my hip — that is doing fine now. I also go for acupuncture for stomach problems and it was a true revelation how acupuncture benefited my overall physical health. Specifically, since my acupuncture treatments with Dr. Z, my uncontrolled blood pressure is now gone. Another benefit from acupuncture w/​Dr. Z was how my family and friends have commented on how good my skin looks! I currently have a torn shoulder cuff and the acupuncture helps very much with alleviating the pain. Dr. Z also has an excellent staff. In closing, his office has a very comfortable atmosphere which i believe is not comparable to other medical offices i have visited. 5 Stars and i have been really blessed to have such a great medical service available.

I highly recommend Dr. Ziegler for both his impressive skills and his warm, caring approach to chiropractic services. I have scoliosis and have experienced chronic back pain for much of my life. However, I’ve enjoyed substantial improvement under his care. While I have seen several other chiropractors over the years, he is the first chiropractor to recommend a specific regimen of stretching exercises designed to alleviate the pain and tightness I had been accustomed to. The approach is to teach patient self-​care, to complement the chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Ziegler also treated my wife very late in her pregnancy when she was experiencing severe back pain, and he was remarkably successful in alleviating her pain. Dr. Ziegler undoubtedly deserves his recognition as a «Top Chiropractor» in Northern Virginia.

I highly recommend Dr. Ziegler as chiropractor. He is personable and compassionate and has extensive knowledge and experience in his field and health care in general. These days it is rare to find a doctor who truly cares about your well-​being at the level Dr. Ziegler does and it’s much appreciated!
On my first visit Dr. Ziegler did a thorough examination and sent me for x-​rays (before doing any adjustments) for my cervical spine after I complained about neck pain and limited range of movement. After the x-​ray came back we learned that my neck lost its natural curve, and Dr. Ziegler came up with a plan to remedy this. His positive attitude and knowledge gave me confidence and hope that his plan would make an improvement.
A few months later I have seen significant improvement in my condition. The staff at the center are also always welcoming and helpful. Scheduling an appointment is very easy and they can usually fit you in on a days’ notice.
I always look forward to going in for a treatment or as a follow-​up to discuss my progress.

I’m a big fan of Dr. Ziegler. I’ve seen several chiros over the years and he hands down is the most intense in terms of feeling your pain. He REALLY wants to help, which is the first thing I look for in any doctor, regardless of the type of medicine. He’s always seemed honest when suggesting future visits (not just the automatic, «come back tomorrow for another session»), and scheduling/​rescheduling appointments has always been easy. Definitely recommended.

Dr. Ziegler is very intuitive and ensures that the work he is performing is in line with your specific needs and he truly cares about the well-​being of his patients. He is also very personable and has a kind demeanor. His team is great too — they are always welcoming and I want to specifically mention Steven who provided great guidance on insurance requirements prior to my first visit.

I always get excellent service at Advanced Health Center. I come here for acupuncture. They are very flexible about rescheduling and everyone knows my name. Dr. Ziegler is very friendly and cares about my overall well-​being.

Chiropractic care with Dr. Ziegler is great. Appointments on Saturday and great daily hours. Not only Chiropractic but also Acupuncture.

Dr. Ziegler figured out how to relieve the chronic pain and fatigue in my back when my primary care physician couldn’t and when and physical therapy didn’t work. I’m so glad that I found him and think he’s amazing! I no longer suffer pain getting in and out of cars, walking or standing, and my energy level is much improved. His staff is great too… I couldn’t be happier. Thanks Dr. Ziegler!

Dr. Ziegler is a fantastic chiropractor. I suffer from the common ailment of many office workers; lower back and neck pain from endless hours at a desk in front of a computer.
Dr. Z, on my first visit took X-​rays to ensure there was no structural damage to my spine before he ever adjusted my back. Then he explained how it all worked and what the ultimate goal was; to get my spine back where it should be and to get my head back so I wouldn’t end up as a hunched-​over man later in life.
It’s now been a year and a half and I am still going to see Dr. Z. He does more than just crack your spine; each visit typically involves 15 minutes of muscle stimulation with heat, then ultrasound, then the roller table (which I wish I had one in my home, its awesome!) and then the adjustment. Dr. Z knows exactly where to fix me so that my neck and lower back have the pressure relieved.
In the year and a half, my lower back has improved dramatically. My neck is getting there, but I also tend to slouch, especially at the computer, so that is a work in progress… but again, after each visit, my neck feels much better.
Dr. Z is a great chiropractor and I highly recommend him, especially if you are new to this like I was.

Dr. Ziegler ROCKS!
I have had 3 chiropractors in the area. I moved away from my first and took a recommendation for a second. After a few months of okay adjustments, this other doc started bringing in student and new chiroprators to help him process more patients during busy afternoon hours. Twice I was maladjusted and given a massive headache due to their lack of proficiency and the doctor’s failure to check student work. WOW! After the second time, I quit and turned to my fiancé’s doc.
I am SO grateful I did!
Why do I think Dr. Ziegler is great?
First– he’s old school so no fancy tools or tricks to get the job done. No sir, he’s hands on with his manipulation techniques and it makes all the difference. With his years of experience, he can feel the problems and apply the correct amount of counterpressure to correct the issues (subluxations, I think??). Anyhow, that means a lot to me — especially having been subjected to inept students and new chiroprators at the other office.
Second– he makes sure to relax and stretch you out first so you’re ready for the adjustment. The muscle stem (sp??) and ultrasound are standard in most practices, but Dr. Z’s rolling table is AMAZING. I don’t know how to describe it, but it is one of the most relaxing and tightness alleviating experiences I have ever had. It would be worth going to see Dr. Z for one time if only to experience the table!
Third– he has great bedside manner. He is knowledgeable and friendly, answering any question I have about current issues and old injuries. He doesn’t talk down to you, but engages in open dialogue ensuring that you feel heard and never rushed. I have been especially pleased with his suggestions for modifying workout routines to accomodate an old shouler/​neck injury. And it’s not just for chiropractic care that he is great. He also treated me for a fall a couple years ago and was so gentle in examining and x-​raying my ankle before a dive trip a few days later (yes, x-​ray is onsite!) He was able to reassure me that I was okay to dive with some easy modifications and the trip went off without a hitch.
To sum up– I feel truly blessed to have found him and have no plans to go anywhere else!
Oh, and Dan W. is right — «when you are in pain, no price is too much to pay to feel better» and «his pricing is in line with others I have seen.» With BCBS, the standard copay rate ($ 25) applies.

5.0 Stars! Let me tell you, when you are in pain, no price is too much to pay to feel better. I have been to several chiropractors over the years before I met Lou and I can say he is one of the best and his pricing is in line with others I have seen. The difference here is Lou really knows his stuff, has a great bedside manner, and has been my chiropractor for many years. If it was not for his expertise, I would not be living pain free!

I agree with the Seth about the Asian woman in the front desk, omg she is sooo rude!!! He even has to tell her what to do! The other people is nice and courteous but because of this woman I would have to give them 3 stars. The office is very clean, relaxing and he really know what he is doing.

He charges WAY too much!!!
