Kelsey SAVED my hair after some other idiot stylist tried to use a 20 developer blonde to take me from a 6 to a 10 (from a very light brunette almost to platinum). She was able to take my orange roots to a beautiful blonde! I now live in San antonio but travel all the way back to Arlington just so she can do my hair! Love that she listens to what I think I want… shows me what it looks like… and then gives me her opinion on if it will work/​if I’ll actually be happy/​how much the upkeep will be. Also very decently priced and fast. Everyone else there is also so nice and the place is professional but fast… def the best hair place to go… and ask for Kelsey!!! You will not regret it!

Kelsey did a great job doing blonde highlights and low lights in my hair. I have found my new hairdresser here. I am also very particular on how my blonde should be and she nailed it. The salon and spa is nice too.

What. This Shelton’s is seriously awesome! It’d been a looooong time since I’d gotten my hair colored, and my schedule just wasn’t meshing with my usual stylist. I called Shelton’s at about 5 PM on a Tuesday eve and asked, «is there anybody who’d be willing to highlight my hair tonight? PLEASE.» They said yes if I could be there in 10 minutes, so I was on my way and greeted with a warm welcome and open arms.
Miriam is fantastic. She’s extremely sweet, talented, and listens to what you need/​want. I told her about my hair issues, how I tend to butcher my own bangs and get a little too comfortable with crappy box dyes, but she showed no judgment — only skill. She gave me the super blonde highlights I’d been wanting without turning my hair yellow or frying it. WOO! A full + a $ 20 bottle of great moisturizing mousse for $ 100 total? That’s an amazing deal for such quality service.
Hopefully V will wash your hair for you. She has mystical magical hands that squeeze your brain and make you feel so relaxed and happy. She asked if I was tender-​headed and I said no, and she really scrubbed my scalp. Phenomenal. I wish she could just wash my hair all day. Is that weird?
All of the employees I interacted here were warm and professional from beginning to end. Plus the facility itself is quite large, chic, and spotless. I’ll definitely return.

This was by far the best experience I’ve had at a hair salon! I called on a whim to make an appointment for the day of… low and behold, they could get me in in 30 minutes for color and a trim. I was thrilled. They scheduled me with Miriam. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she had no doubts she could do it. I was going from blonde highlights, to a light brunette/​blonde ombré. And she nailed it. She was very particular with the color, and kept asking me questions about how I wanted it to look. I am happy to say I finally found a hair stylist in my new city.

Hands down one of the best hair experiences ever. Corey saved the day! I had my hair done at a different salon several days prior (bad cut and bad bleaching on my regrowth and bad color tinting) So he had to get this what was supposed to be cotton candy temporary purple that went very wrong out of my hair and was very successful at washing the majority out so he could color over it. He listened and we bounced ideas off each other and made a plan together that was best for what little hair I had and that I liked. He was nice to talk to and worked super fast and presicise. The ladies at the front were also nice. It was really clean inside the salon and was probably one of the largest salons I’ve ever been in. After he was finished with my hair, women started complimenting me on it. All my friends thought it was the cutest hair ever. It was a miracle that he was able to take my very short purple hair and turn it into a rich brown, sassy full looking pixie faux hawk. Beyond over joyed!

So the building and set up are great; a very nice facility with state of the art products. However, I just didn’t love my haircut or stylist. It felt too much like she just got out of school and was incredibly textbook on how she performed. My hair is just past shoulder length and she made me stand to cut it, which is weird when you have medium length hair. She couldn’t get the bangs correct even after multiple tries and the blow dry job was just sad. I blow dry better than she did. The staff is nice however so maybe just be cautious when booking with Ana when you go. After all, for a $ 44 haircut, you expect an awesome result.

I am not from the area, but wanted to have my hair cut to donate it. I was nervous going in because I didn’t know anyone who had been there and I was cutting over 17 inches of hair off. I called that morning asking if they had any available appointments, they said they had one with Shawn at noon. Shawn was completely friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. I would definitely recommend him and this place, overall this was one of the best hair cutting experiences I have had! Prices were reasonable too. Paid less than $ 50 for cut and style.

My stylist was shawn I’m a very shy person I never had a male stylish before an I was cuting my hair significantly shorter for the 1^st time. He made me feel very comfortble he really knew what he was doing. This was the best experance i’ve had getting my hair cut. I’d definitely recommend friends to him. Some my say its a lil pricey not over the top though an hey you get what you pay for. Also they’re not pushy trying to sell you products or do more then what you went for. This will be my salon /​spa from now on I cant wait to schedule a facial and massage and even a pedi. Awesome place.

I just recently moved to Texas and started over is difficult in more ways then one. Back home I have been going to the same hair stylist for 6 years and she is amazing. I was previously living in Missouri but just got back from a year tour in Afghanistan and it ruined my hair. I had to have it all chopped off when I got back and am trying to grow it back out. I’ve been scared to try to find someone to trim it cause so many stylist seem to be scissor happy but I found this place on Unilocal and made the call and I am so happy I did. Their stylist Natalie is definitely a keeper! She trimmed as little off as possible and is just as sweet as can be. I will be a returning customer for sure! I haven’t tried the spa side but I give Natalie 5 stars for a hair stylist!

The staff is very attentive, friendly and welcoming. I have been to several salons but this one is the best. Corey cut and colored my hair, he did an excellent job!

This was my first time in this salon today. My goal was to trim my layers and get amazing bangs for the first time ever. And that’s exactly what I got! Jennifer was so informative and helpful. She was patient with me and really listened to what I wanted. She gave me the pros and cons and helped me decide on what I wanted to do and what looked best for my face. She really took her time and didn’t rush through our appointment. This salon just became my permanent place to go from now on! It is also very nice and clean inside. I’ll be back! I had my hair and makeup done here for my wedding. The makeup artist was unbelievable, my makeup was awesome!!! I would definitely recommend her, she explained what she was doing and why and I loved that!

There I was, sitting in the swivel chair, looking back at my limp, lifeless hair, not willing to SAY I wanted Jennifer Aniston, but my girl knew. Jennifer Aniston.
I desperately needed a cut and highlight, so I figured I might as well go somewhere close to the office to miss 5:00 traffic heading back to Dallas. I was planning on having it just be a one-​and-​done type appointment, but I loved it so much it’s now my new place!
Susan is great. I haven’t had anyone else there, and I also don’t plan on it. Susan all the way. Super nice, easy to talk to, and knows her game. She did a great job — wonderful color, great layering job that doesn’t make my blonde hair look stair-​steppy. I will definitely be back.

I was introduced to Shelton’s by a friend of mine. The staff is very friendly, the salon is clean and well maintained, and best of all the stylists are extraordinary. This is the first place that always cuts my hair the length that I ask. In the past, at other salons, I’ve gone in to get my tips trimmed and leave with 2 inches of my hair cut off! I’m very happy with their coloring services also. I’ve gotten the peek-​a-​boo highlights. The color is consistent throughout and it reaches the root. I recently cheated and went to another salon because it was a little cheaper, but regretted it because my hair didn’t look like it was done by professionals as it would’ve been at Shelton’s. Whether you are getting your hair dyed or cut, this place is a must. At least try them once, you won’t be disappointed! :)

I highly recommend Shelton’s. The spa services are very good, though expensive. However, I feel like the prices for highlights and haircuts are quite reasonable so it balances out. I have been going to Shelton’s for 5 years now and have used several different stylists and they all have been highly skilled and consistent. I have also been pleased with how easy it has been to get last minute appointments. Nice, professional comfortable environment.

I used to come here for ‘Mother/​Daughter Dates’ when I was 10 – 14. After having my hair handled by the best in West Hollywood and THE worst up in Oregon, I gave this salon another shot to save my Beatles-​esque bowl I had going. I opted for the stylist who used to cut my hair years back– Stephanie. Holy crap, I am SO very grateful. Best style and customer service I’ve had in months. I’ve been sporting short hair for 3 years now, and I’m going to endure the pain of growing it back out. I’ll be sticking with Stephanie ffor the entire process.
Will definitely be returning.
