Urgent Care of Texas

Terrible service. Called ahead of time to see if they were open. Front desk staff was rude and horsing around giggling instead of paying attentiom to patients concerns and questions. They make you use some stupid tablet to fill out your entire medical history (even though I had been there before). Co-​Pays for ANYTHING it seems are as high as they can charge. Poor service. Go somewhere else and get a much more professional experience. They have their own pharmacy so its one of those kind of places if you know what I mean. Not sure why I went back there again. They changed the name of the place Thought it would be better than before but it was worse. I needed to see a doctor but I walked out in disgust before being seen due to the poor service I had before seeing the doctor. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Two thumbs down!

If I could I would give this urgent care a zero. We brought my 3.5 yr old daughter here after she screamed from ear pain. We spoke with our insurance before arriving as we’re from out of state and needed authorization. They referred us to this urgent care. Upon arrival my husband checked in. The girl at the front desk found my daughter’s information in their system but since there was no authorization number she would not put my daughter on the wait list. After speaking with our insurance again she still refused to let our daughter be seen by a doctor even though under the united healthcare military and veterans policy they didn’t need to wait for a referral number. They just had to file the paperwork with Tricare. We were there a total of one hour (mostly talking to our insurance) and during that time my daughter was hysterically crying from pain. Not once did anyone from the desk offer help or anything to ease my daughter’s discomfort. We finally left and went up the road to the pediatric urgent care who accepted my daughter as a patient even though they didn’t accept tricare insurance. Turns out my daughter had an ear infection. We paid out of pocket because I had just experienced the worst feeling a parent could ever feel… listening to your child scream in pain and not being able to do anything about it. I don’t recommend this clinic because they care more about whether they’ll get their money from insurance before taking care of you.

The front staff and RN are wonderful and kind and the beginning of the visit was quite nice. But this is about it. The doctor seemed shady and did procedures that were unnecessary for my issue but still charged the insurance. They also told me I had to pay $ 500.00+ dollar deductible up front. It took several phone calls to get them to bill the insurance. Left over 7 messages for the billing/​office manger with no phone call back ever. Now the insurance has paid, I own nothing and sent them by email the EOB showing them so I could get a refund in February. Again no refund yet and now April. Called again and always seem to get the run around on getting things done. Told the office manager will call back… this is horrible to have to make over 15 – 20 calls in 3 months and get no response. Bad business.

The staff at Texas Urgent Care are the nicest and kindest people I’ve dealt with in this environment.
They don’t treat you like a patient or a number, but like one of their own family members.
I recommend Texas Urgent Care 100%.
