I ordered beef fried rice and almond chicken and came out better than expected. Food was good and no msg was included. Price is ok, total was about $ 16 for two orders. I picked it up at the store, its small about 10 tables but free parking and it was ready when i got there in 10 min. I would come again.

Jjamppong, it’s been too long. You warm my heart like a love song. Mussels, squid, crab & shrimp, you can’t go wrong. Fortifying my body, to make me strong. You make me feel as if I was wearing, a snug velvet thong. Banchan & free buchi, to go along, with housemade noodles to make my lifelong. To my favorite things list, you belong.

Small Korean Chinese hole in a wall. Credit card minimum of $ 10. Tight private lot shared with other businesses. All noodles made fresh in house, but probably with a machine? The noodles look too perfect to be handmade. Ordered the jajangmyeon and topped it off with red chili flakes. Yummy, but wish they had a jjm and jampong combo. I’ll be back when I’m in the area.

Best Jjampong and Jjangmyun so far from this area. Right amount of seafood in the Jjampong. Was impressed with a variety of seafood. It had even crabs! Ordered 1 each. split with 3 of us including my 2 year old son. It was enough to feed us all. Will be coming back for more.

I was in the mood for some good ol’ greasy Chinese food so I was so happy when my dad picked this place for us to eat. As I looked through the menu, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The first thought that ran through my head was«this is really pricey for Chinese food.» However, when the portions come out, the food is worth it for the price! All of the dishes were huge! We had enough for leftovers the next day after feeding four of us that night. We ordered the house chow mein(my favorite), the garlic chicken, curry beef, and calamari. The calamari needed a little more oomph in my opinion, but it was still decent. All the other dishes were excellent! If these four dishes we ordered were any indication of how good the food is here, I can’t wait to try some of the other dishes they have on the menu. The place is small but it wasn’t packed when we arrived. We were able to get a table right away. The servers here are super nice as well!

We returned to this restaurant since our last visit in October of 2015. As promised we tried the black bean noodles but didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled. However, the shrimp and garlic chicken dishes were excellent. We will definitely come back again.

First time in, food was good and they do give large portions but I can’t say it was my favorite yet.

Always get their Black Bean Noodle here. It’s AMAZING. Service is great, their mandoo is great too. The reason why its a 4 store it’s because the restaurant isn’t the cleanest and the restroom smells really bad. But it’s worth the try if you love black bean noodles. Been coming here for a while, gonna come here for a lot longer.

I’ve been driving to LA to get my fix of jjong pon(spicey seafood noodle soup) for 7 years and just decided to check again a month ago. Found Hsiang Yuen had good reviews, 2 miles from home. Tried it and am amazed it’s better than what I’ve been going to LA for! The owner told me to try with extra seafood for $ 1 after the first time. Went back yesterday, even better than the first — key is the great broth and fresh seafood. They have a full selection of chinese food and the jia jia myung is great too. Love the small local places, friendly and welcoming — nothing fancy, just great food!

Notice: this comment is coming from an amateur. Sorry if it is not helpful. I ordered beef fried rice, here, and they gave me a huge plate with some sides, including soup! I was skeptical at first because the fried rice did not look very deep colored like I was used to, but it has rich flavor. And the beef is pretty good too. The soup is slightly spicy, and I am not a spicy person, so I did not like it that much. The side looked red, which could be spicy, so I opted to not touch it. Service was nice, and they cooked my food very quickly. Overall: 7.3÷10

I don’t leave many reviews, only when I really recommend a place that Unilocal helped me find. We were so full but couldn’t stop eating the food was that good. I loved the respectful service and was highly surprised by the amount of food for such little cost. These servings could feed way more than just two! And the food was the BEST Chinese food we’ve tried to stuff our selves with. — — -The picture below was only 29 $ worth of food — —

Korean Chinese food. This is my dad’s favorite place he loves both jjam bbong and ja jang myun here. I am not much of a fan of these types of food but compared to other places this place does have good noodles. We come all the way from San Bernardino to do market and eat here so must be good. Service is not bad either the ladies work hard.

Love this spot! Definitely the spot to be when I am in the Cerritos area! Its a small place but theres such a friendly vibe that I instantly feel like I am at home here. Customer service is definitely top notch here! The portions are MASSIVE! One dish will probably last me the whole day! Writing this review makes me wish I was eating at the restaurant right now. I can’t wait to go back!

The best in the area so far for shandong(korean/chinese) food. The other shandong place is V.I.P. and that place is not good. Service here is genuinely amazing, and the food is just absolutely delicious. I’ve been here many times decades ago and I’m happy to report that it’s still delicious and priced reasonably. Order their jjanjangmyun, fried dumplings, sweet and sour pork, and their corn soup. So yummy! Their mongolian beef is a bit on the sweeter side for me, but friends loved it when we ate here.

This is a delicious Chinese Korean food restaurant. This spot has been around since I was a kid, so that’s a pretty darn long time. It’s most likely changed owners several times since then, but the food is still good. The black bean noodle(jajangmyun) is a 3.5÷5 for taste and quantity. The spicy fried garlic shrimp is really good here. It’s fresh, super hot, and the sauce is awesome. But the quantity went down a bit, while the price went up. The restaurant is a lunch type restaurant, which means you eat, pay, and leave. It’s not about ambiance, but about getting fresh, hot Chinese food. The service is pretty good compared to other Chinese Korean restaurants. They are relatively friendly, and even when busy serve the food without making you wait too long. Highly recommended!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Not busy, which is a shame. I stumbled across this place while wait for Mr. Lee’s. I’m glad that place was full because this place is great. As others have mentioned, korean owner and operated. I had the egg rolls, black bean noodles, beef fried rice, and korean style sweet & sour pork. The egg rolls were a miss. I believe there was ginger in them or something similar. Every thing else was delicious. Great size portions too. The décor is not that great, but I came here to eat, not look around. The service was warm as well. This is a divey type place but with good solid food. Most of the food seems processed, nothing looks overly organic or freshly made. That is not a knock, it’s actually a compliment to what they’ve accomplished with what they have. I like this place and the black bean noodles are s MUST try.

Black bean noodles(Jjja jang myun) are a specialty here. My very first time having Chinese/Korean food(I guess it’s a type of fusion cuisine?) I really enjoyed this dish, and the owner let us know they are house made noodles! Had a similar dish from elsewhere and I have to say I preferred Hsiang Yuen’s better. Familiar dishes: battered pork in sweet honey sauce(think of it as a lighter version of Chinese Sweet and sour pork) — tender pork stays crunchy. The version of Spicy orange chicken is also battered, deep fried chicken in very tasty sauce. (Umm…maybe I was supposed to at least mix up dishes instead of getting all fried… Next time…) For dessert, you get complementary sesame rice balls with bean filling.
