Blackjack Pizza

For the money, this is the best pizza from a chain in town no question… IF (& that’s a big if) you order it with thin crust. 10 times out of 10, if someone says otherwise about Blackjack, I ask if they’ve had the thin crust & their answer is no. Their regular crust just plain sucks. It’s chewy & pretty flavorless. Blackjack is also far & away cheaper than any chain in the state & they’re always sending killer deals in the mail.

Tried to order and she took 5 minutes just trying to figure out my address only to get it wrong… Asked for manager to assist with this clearly struggling order taker only to hear «He ain’t around» safe to say not buying anymore That’s A-​N-​Y-​M-​O-​R-​E in case they need me to spell that put too five times.

Wow.
My boyfriend is out of town, and I work from home on the weekends. I usually spend my lunch break taking the pup for a walk, so I didn’t want to make anything crazy for lunch. I ordered this knowing my daughter, and I would eat it for a lunch/​dinner.
The 20oz sodas were $ 1.25, and while I live next to a gas station… I also live on the 3^rd floor and am admittedly, lazy. I ordered four bottles of soda to hold me over for the next four days [and with that price difference… saved some money]. Our pizza and cheese bread arrived and came with a TON of peppers/​parm.
My sink was full of dishes. Using more plates was not something I wanted, but I didn’t order the paper plates thinking they’d be more for offices and such. The fact that my delivery also came with paper plates made it that much better. That, to me, is outstanding customer service!
And to top it off, the cheese bread was worthy of our love of cheese — and the cheese tasted real — not «blob of grease in my stomach –blech».
The pizza was the best from a chain I’ve had around here. We got the square/​pan Hawaiian with BBQ sauce [which is the only way, IMO]. Nothing will ever beat my homemade pizza, but this is pretty damn close. They are not shy with the toppings. It’s nice to see that somebody loves olives as much as I do. There was easily four times the toppings that Dominos uses.
It’s good, but can be pricey. Make sure you use the coupons. Otherwise, you may be paying too much.

Consistent, tasty, inexpensive pizza. Super fast, clean restaurant, I often make special requests like «lite cheese» & they always get it right.

I never thought I would… But I really like their pizzas! The square pan pizza is by far my favorite. Marcos pizza has nothing on this place. I love blackjack! My boyfriend introduced me to them a few months ago.

My wife and I have been ordering almost exclusively from this Blackjack for the past 4 or so years, even though there is a Pizza Hut, a Dominos and a Papa Murphy’s all pretty close to our house.
About 3 years ago, I’m not entirely sure on the date, we noticed a dramatic improvement of the quality of the pizza from this location. We couldn’t put our finger on it, but it was as if every single aspect of the pizza had been improved.
Then just yesterday, my wife was out and about and I decided to treat myself with my favorite pizza: thin crust, pepperoni and black olive. Pretty simple, but it’s never done me wrong.
And oh my god, it was the best pizza I’ve ever had.
The consistency of the cheese, the amount of sauce. Almost every single bite I took had the perfect amount of ingredients on it.
I usually throw my dog a few scraps as his eyes silently plead for me to show mercy, but not yesterday. I ate that whole thing by myself and let the dog lick the plate.
Whatever you guys are doing, please don’t stop doing it.

I have been wanting to try this place out for a while since it’s not a big national chain to my knowledge and they are mainly a local Denver franchise to my kmowledge. We got the large bacon and garlic and it was pretty good, the crust was pretty good as well. It wasn’t that busy when I went in to pick up, it took abiut 10 – 15 minutes from the time I ordered until I got so pretty quick. The staff was pretty nice and offered me a drink while I was waiting. All in all this is a good local alternative to the national chains you may try to avoid.

Used to be amazing, but what happened?
When we first moved here, we discovered and fell in love with this Blackjack. The pizza always came quickly, was hot and fresh and full of awesome toppings with a nice mix of sauce and cheese. The pan crust was always crunchy on the outside and moist inside… and we were amazed at why anyone would order from any other more expensive joint…
However, over the past several months the quality has been declining — to the point that we’ve actually gone to a competitor for the past 2 or 3 pizzas.
What’s happened? Well, toppings have become chintzy – all but disappeared; the pizza arrives lukewarm and tastes almost like it was pre-​made and then reheated; no matter which crust we ask for — pan or hand tossed — the crust comes exactly the same.
I hope these problems are temporary — maybe related to a bad crew or manager — but we’ll be staying away for awhile. Bad pizza is still bad pizza, no matter how cheap it is.

Whether we pick up a pizza or order on the phone or even online (They have some great online specials) we have always gotten fast, friendly service from this Blackjack’s.
I have always liked that BlackJack uses «Real» ingredients on their pizzas… I can remember back when everyone else used Canned Mushrooms (UGH) and BlackJack used real, fresh, sliced mushrooms. That’s what drew me in.
What’s kept me loyal is the same quality of ingredients, as well as accurate orders, friendly service, and awesome coupons! (They’ll often mail out a $ 2 off coupon when the delivery time was «longish» even if I didn’t even notice.)
