Act Fast Urgent Care

The care at Act Fast is truly fast and efficient, while not sacrificing care. I had a great experience this afternoon with Dr. Khan… very thorough and professional, while respecting the patient’s time. Will definitely return as needed!

My first visit to this Urgent Care today. It took 37 minutes to see the doctor after handing in the new patient paperwork and there was no one else in the lobby. So no Fast in the Act Fast. The doctor did a brief exam asking me to cough while he listened but the scope was so far away from my body I don’t know how he could have heard anything. He asked me where to send the RX when I already gave the detailed address and confirmed phone number to the intake assistant and watched her add the info to my online record. The same assistant who took my temp, blood pressure and weight. When I questioned the weight she reset the scale and weighed me again and it was very different. I’m glad the purpose of my visit didn’t depend on my blood pressure reading or temp because accuracy didn’t seem to be a concern. I had been going to Patient First on Route 7 in Sterling but was happy to see an Urgent Care open up in Ashburn where I live. Bad move. Won’t be back.

Act Fast is quite the oxymoron for this place. I came here on a Saturday morning and it took 1.5 hour to even be taken back. Not only that, there was only one other person there! The front desk is very unorganized. If you have an emergency go to a MedExpress or the like. Even if it takes you an hour to find one, you’ll still be seen faster than you would have at Act Fast. And after all that, they asked me to give it 5 stars on Unilocal!Take the other reviews with a grain of salt…

After spiking a 102.3 degree fever and being told by NoVa Urgent care that I had to wait 1.5hrs to be seen I found Dr. Kahns office at Act Fast Urgent Care. Dr. Kahn took me right in and addressed my needs. A clean office, professional staff and kind hand made me feel at ease.

This urgent care was fabulous! Dr. Kahn might possibly have saved my life! He is extremely attentive, listens to everything you have to say and is extremely caring and compassionate! Their hours are also extremely helpful for those of us who have demanding jobs and do not work the typical early daytime working hours. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone!

I’m really pleased with this place and Dr. Kahn. I went in last week with a weird sensation in my abdomen. Dr. Kahn couldn’t identify it right away, so he tried some antibiotics. They didn’t work, so I went back to see him a few days later. By that point, I was in pain, and ended up in the ER. It was there that the pain was identified as a kidney stone.
Once we knew what we were dealing with Dr. Kahn and his staff was extremely helpful to me, and easily accessible as the practice isn’t terribly busy. You get lots of individualized treatment and the focus is always on the patient. Through helping me through this, Dr., Kahn really won me over and I ended up signing up with him to be my primary doctor. He has the best hours I’ve ever seen with some evenings and weekend hours.
High marks all around!

I just saw Dr. Khan and I had symptoms of the flu and he was very professional and caring. Overall it was a pleasant experience from the time I walked in to the time I walked out.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Dr. Khan was very helpful and nice. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would go there again.

I took my pregnant wife here when she had what appeared to be a sinus infection and she didn’t want to wait for an appointment. It was a weekday morning and she was seen quickly. I was concerned the doc would be reluctant to provide urgent care for a pregnant woman but not the case. He gave diagnosis and treatment and my wife was fine in a couple days. My wife found him pleasant and was happy. I would go back here again.

This was a pretty simple visit.
They’re pretty new, so I guess business hasn’t built up yet, but there was no one in the waiting room.
Fill out the standard paperwork and you’re off to be seen. Prescriptions were ready at the pharmacy by the time I arrived.
No complaints.

This urgent care will be my go to place. I was seen right away. The doctor was very friendly and took his time with me. I could tell he really cared. The x-​Rays I needed were taken right away. I didn’t know this was possible. I thought I would have to go to the hospital for that. I would just like to thank act fast for taking such good care of me!

Wow… Great first impression! That’s me being sarcastic… I found this place while searching for an Urgent care on the Internet… My girlfriend was having a serious panic attack and needed to be seen quickly… She’s between jobs at the moment and doesn’t have health insurance, so I planned to pay out of pocket… When we first pulled up, I noticed the huge (Now Open) sign… That explained why there were no reviews online… When we walked in we were greeted by a smile and a hello… We were the only people there, so I assumed we would be seen quickly… My girlfriend was having a full blown panic attack, so I proceeded to talk to the receptionist… I told her why we were there, and she handed me paper work to fill out… I then told her that my girlfriend didn’t have insurance and asked how much it would be if I was to pay out of pocket… She looked at my girlfriend and I with a puzzled face, and then said she would be right back… She quickly walked down the hall to an open office… I could see her exchanging words with someone inside… A moment later she came back, and said (I’m sorry, I’m afraid we don’t see patients for panic attacks, and we don’t prescribe anxiety medicine)… My girlfriend immediately starting crying, and said (what does that mean?)… I looked at her, then at the receptionist, and said (it means, they won’t see you because you don’t have insurance, and they won’t prescribe you anything for anxiety, because they are new, and don’t want the DEA checking them out, for prescribing a controlled substance to someone without insurance)! I thanked the receptionist for all her help, and told them to keep up the good work… I then prepared for a 3 hour wait at the emergency room, but then remembered, there was another urgent care in the Ashburn Village shopping center… I called ahead to make sure they wouldn’t turn us down as well, and they assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem… when we arrived at the Ashburn Village urgent care, there were a few other patients ahead of us, but by the time we had finished filling out the paperwork, a nurse was ready to take us back… We told the doctor about how the other urgent care refused to see us, and the doctor seemed very surprised… The doctor a gave my girlfriend a prescription to help with her anxiety, and scheduled us for a follow up appointment… It was a very pleasant experience… Especially after the last doctor at the other urgent care basically profiled my girlfriend and I as drug seekers, without even talking to us… I was excited when I found out there was another urgent care so close to home, but now I can see that this is just another practice more worried about money than actually helping people… We rely on our neighborhood doctors to first do no harm and safeguard our health, but when a doctor profiles a patient, it often leads to improper medical care, and distrust of physicians and the health care system… In short… Stay clear of this urgent care if you know what’s good for you… There’s another one just down the street with a great reputation and a staff and doctors that care about their patients…
