Brought in my wife’s A4 with some weird vibration. They got to it right away and solved the issue. Brian was the guy I talked to and was great to deal with, even though he still made me pay! Great work and better service!

I just recently got my BMW fixed I’m so very pleased. Rick and his crew are the most honest mechanics around. Woman often get taken advantage of in this type of situation due to the fact most of us aren’t interested in what’s going on under the hood except that we want it fixed. To give you the perfect example, my daughter in law had gone to another shop locally, she was told she needed a new radiator a new catalytic converter the charges were somewhere around $ 1,500 total. I told her to take it to Rick’s he’s an honest man and does a Awsome job. When Rick and his crew took a look at her car she did not need a new radiator just the radiator cap and did not need a catalytic converter just a sensor and a few other issues $ 400… thanks Rick and Brian and crew I’ll be referring you too many many people. Oh and by the way my car is driving awesome its like new.

Rick and his crew at Rick’s German Performance saved our little vacation. We were traveling in our 2001 Eurovan full camper from Monterey to Pismo Beach. Our dashboard lights were going berserk and we quickly did a search to figure it out. The consensus seemed to be that the alternator was kicking the bucket. We called our mechanic and he confirmed but wasn’t sure where to take it while we were on the road. We called Rick’s German Performance and they told us to bring it straight in. We surprisingly made it, pulled in, shut the van down, and that was it. This is where Rick and his crew took over immediately. They stopped what they were doing to accommodate us and do their tests and checks. Being an older VW van we have to take it to particular places that can handle it. This place handled it! They were very comforting to us as they knew that we were in the middle of our trip. They did everything they could to be kind and helpful through the ordeal. Rick himself called hotels to get best prices and drove us to the hotel for the night. That’s service! The van was ready to go before noon and we were back on our way. Thank you so much Rick’s German Performance for going above and beyond!

You know your off to a good start when two other shops refer you to the same shop. From the time I walked in the door to the time my car was done Rick’s made me feel like I was there most important customer.
I came in to have them diagnose what abs sensor I needed to replace. 3 other shops quoted me $ 100 to $ 125 just to diagnose. Rick’s not only did it in half the time for half the price they found the real problem and saved me even more.
They made a repeat customer out of me. Thanks guys

Thanks Rick for another job well done. Who knew that putting the diesel exhaust fluid in on our BMW could be so inconvenient? The manual makes it look so easy…

Rick hooked me up in an emergency on the way camping when a coolant hose disconnected on my VW Van. Got me in and out in short order and back on the road.

Rick and Brian took exceptional care of my 330i (and me too) through a rather drawn out parts issue (completely out of their control). I was so happy to have my baby back, and returned to tip-​top shape. Now that I’ve found Rick’s — I won’t be going anywhere else. Honesty and fairness are qualities too hard to come by these days. Amazing Customer Service that you really don’t find often in any type of business anymore. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rick runs his business with honesty and integrity. I will continue to take my VW there as long as they are in business and will have me as a customer. Would recommend them without question to anyone with a German or Asian car.

I am totally impressed with Rick’s! Finding a good mechanic you can trust is one of the hardest car choices. Rick was recommended to me by another long-​term Atascadero mechanic when I bought my first VW. Now both of my VWs go here for all their service and I couldn’t be happier.
The prices are reasonable, they are quick and responsible, and I feel I can really trust them to do the right things. One time, I asked about a transmission service and Rick recommended against it because it wouldn’t help. Let me say that again … He wouldn’t let me pay him to do something my car didn’t need! That’s a perfect example of why I trust him.

Rick is the man in this area for German car repair. Forget German Auto in SLO, they were horrible. Rick is honest, reasonably priced and best of all his staff is totally competent. I’ve been taking my Audi there for years — at least 20 times for various things and routine maintenance. Always have received great service at a good price and never had to bring it back for the same issue. Also, there are always plenty of high-​end cars in the engine bay, so obviously word is out. Highest recommendation.
