Wow! Every dish was worse than the other. I’ve known about this restaurant for at least 25 years or so. Figured if it’s still there it must be decent. Well I was wrong. The food was awful and I mean awful. I am totally at a loss for words. The pork fajitas were as tough as a hockey puck. The shrimp enchiladas had two shrimp in two enchiladas. The portabello mushroom entrée was cold and inedible. I’m still in shock!!! Sorry but may the truth be told.

We loved it here. Great chips, salsa and guac.
Had a great cranberry and vodka. The waiter/​bartender was fun and very happy.
The food was the best we’ve had so far in Atlanta. We’ve been here about a month and trying to go to as many places as possible.

I found this place via word of mouth and wanted to try it. It is quite hidden at the end of strip mall on a busy part of Peachtree Street. I went with 2 friends on a Sunday evening and were promptly seated with no reservation. The restaurant was mostly full and deceptively large. The menu has a Southwestern fare, so it had a good assortment of enchilidas. We started with the cheese dip and chips, which were fine. For dinner, I had the Portabella Mushroom Quesadilla, which was very good. It was good mix of cheese, spinach, green beans and salsa. One friend had the flat iron steak, which he really liked and the other friend had the bread crumb crusted chicken, which he felt was just so-​so. The service was ok and restaurant was a little too dark. Overall, I felt it was fine, not bad, but nothing great. It was a tad bit pricy. It is more of an intimate place, so a decent date place or small group for adults.

Best kept secret in all of ATL. I would consider their enchiladas as a last meal request on earth.
You will not find this place except for by word of mouth. I was disgusted walking in per the rec of a few skinny hipster friends because this place is in a strip mall. A STRIP MALL. But what followed was magical. My fiancé and I had to pretend like we don’t binge eat while with said hispter friends, but we have perfected our order in our 15+ visits back after that first night.
The perfect night and order for 2 entails:
–PItcher of Skinny Margharita and ice cold Modelo Especial
–Trio of Queso, Guac and Salsa
–Double order of Smoked Chicken Enchilada
–Double order of Shrimp Enchilada (yes, the enchilada’s are their specialty, imo)
–One more Modelo Especial
–Desert good too if in that mood
Total cost $ 125 or something after 20% tip. And voila, you have perhaps the most fun date in ATL.
The vibe is upbeat, loud and personal on the inside. It’s more «fun» than «intimate», but a sophisticated yuppie and slightly older Buckhead crowd.
Tough to get a reservation on Thus/​Fri/​Sat (which is crazy considering their outward appearance on Peachtree and lack of advertising), so call ahead. You won’t be disappointed unless you’re like Jared from Subway.

Southern meets Mexican. It’s basically the best thing ever and we recommend it to everyone who ever wants to stay in the bucket and wants to find something that’s worse other meets the Mexican border

Still one of my all time favorite restaurants in ATL. Lobster Enchiladas are unbelievable! Worth every penny. Margaritas are awesome! Love this off beaten path neighborhood gem!

Georgia Grille is my favorite restaurant in ATL. Great margaritas, chips and guac and enchiladas. This is the place to be if you like southwestern fare.

Took a few folks from out of town here — the food was great — service started off terrific and then as a few more tables filed in it became a bit slower. We asked for our bill and had to split it — and then waited for over 30 mins — apparently the machine went down and nobody knew how to use the old fashioned hand swipe machine. Well they finally got it — a quick sorry and he bolted. Figured out why the next day when I went to use my card — he jammed it in the machine and actually crimped the card — would have been nice if he had been upfront and told me.

We thought the food here was really good. The drinks were also really good. I had a margarita with patron that I thought was priced pretty good at 11.50. My wife had the skinny margarita which she liked. We ordered the chicken quesadilla for an and it was delicious. Just which it had a little more cheese. I had the flat iron steak but I thought it was a little tough. My wife had the fish tacos which were really really good. I would definitely come back before dinner for drinks because the margaritas were so good and probably apps. I don’t think I would stay for dinner though. The Fish tacos I believe were in the apps section of the menu.
Oh I also didn’t really like the size of the place. It was really small, but it is buckhead/​midtown on Peachtree road so there isn’t much you can do about that.

Named for Georgia O’Keefe, The Georgia Grille is our go-​to standby for Saturday nights, and I hate to rave about it because it is small, convenient, and consistently good. Make a reservation in advance. Excellent margaritas, fried cheese-​filled jalapeños, and southwestern-​style steaks. My lovely bride loves their lobster enchilada. The chocolate mousse is divine. Karen Hilliard is still running this restaurant, hands on, for over 25 years now, and it’s still going strong.

Had the Tuesday night fried catfish special. It sits on a Tomatillo sauce and topped with jalapeño cole slaw (not spicy). I was glad that I skipped an appetizer, so I could eat it all.
Apparently one of the top choices is Smoked Chicken Enchiladas and Taco Salad, which my dining friend had and declared delicious.
Date night nice, but not fussy or overbearing. Service was attentive but not intrusive. I’ll be back with Hubs.

The food is fab, the bartender is best in the hood,
Owner is charming. Love the ambiance. The sad truth is that I will never go again because of the James Dean wanna at the door what an annoying human being he is!

It’s sad that it’s taken me this long to make it to Georgia Grille. Tucked in the back of a shopping center in Buckhead, it’s been around for 25 years! It’s a neighborhood gem that doesn’t get the praise that it should.
We had reservations, though at 6 on a Sunday, we didn’t need them. The place did get busier as the evening went along, as more and more locals and former locals came in. I noticed several mother-​son couples enjoying the nachos and enchiladas and catching up.
Wanting to draw out the evening for my birthday dinner, we started with Texas margaritas, and the chile relleno, black bean soup, and flauta to share. The flauta, filled with smoked chicken and served with green chile sauce, was quite good — smoky chicken flavor, crispy fried tortilla, tangy green chile sauce, and creamy sour cream. The black bean soup had great depth of flavor. The server brought us a basket of chips to get all the green sauce that the chile relleno was served in and rightfully so. Our plates and bowls were almost completely clean.
For the mains, J got the pork fajitas with fried collards and apple red chile sauce, while I chose the shrimp enchiladas. I’m not normally a fan of seafood enchiladas, but so many had raved about them that I couldn’t resist. I loved that the whole dish had been charred or broiled, melting the cheese on top and crisping the flour tortilla. The fresh tomato sauce on top was just the acidity and sweetness that the dish needed to balance the plump shrimp and rich cheese. J enjoyed his fajitas, especially the sauce. The fried collard that I tried on its own didn’t convert me, but J said that it was much better with all the other components wrapped into a tortilla.
The server had let me peruse the copy of their cookbook «Teaching Billy to Cook.» I’d seen the recipe for blackberry and peach cobbler and knew that if they were serving it, I was eating it. I was thrilled not only by the birthday candle, but also by the taste of fresh peaches and blackberries, rather than canned or pie filling. You don’t see much of that in January, so it was a real treat. I loved that the dough of the cobbler wasn’t too sweet, allowing the fruit itself to be the center. Definitely a winning dessert. I got one bite of J’s triple chocolate mousse, which was rich and smooth — a winner if you’re a chocoholic.
Service was warm and inviting, as if you’re in someone’s house.

Tucked in the very corner of a small strip mall on the southern end of Buckhead, the «Grille», as it is known to the locals, serves up outstanding original Southwestern cuisine in a casual, unpretentious atmosphere.
In this part of the Peach-​city, most restaurants have enough glitter, neon and general bling to attract even a blind man. Not the Georgia Grille… with its windowless façade and simple sign.
Walking in however, gives even the first-​time guest a relaxed, down-​home feeling of southern comfort and hospitality. Dimly lit from the warm, indirect glow of a dozen wall sconces, this place exudes a homey and welcoming feel. We loved the walls covered with large original paintings honoring Georgia O’keeffe, a celebrated American artist from New Mexico and commonly recognized as the Mother of American modernism.
We started our dinner with chips and their delicious guac which was chunky yet light along with some great queso and salsa.
But we came for the enchiladas… chicken, shrimp and lobster. Each served with its own unique sauce. The shrimp enchiladas came with a tasty smoked red pepper reduction with a diced tomato salsa… too good! We learned that the locals actually pass their whole plates around when sharing different enchilada types to make sure the diner can enjoy the entrée’s unique sauce that was paired with that individual type of enchilada… watch it, those plates are hot!
The «Grille» also makes a mean margarita by the pitcher which was enjoyed by many in our group while a few of us sucked on Modelo Especials.
Great find! Highly recommended. Got to throw the Grille a nickel.

How am I just now discovering this place?! So yummy! Fab chip and queso, delicious margaritas and funny, tentative waiter. The chicken enchilada was spicy deliciousness. I’ve been twice in one week and am officially hooked. Great neighborhood place that feels like you’re on vacation!

I’ve eaten at Georgia Grill probably half a dozen times, and the experience seems to be sliding downhill with each trip. There are some things that are consistently bad, and then there are some things that are up and down. Note — I ate there last night.
Consistently bad: The Surly Greeter. He does not EVER seem happy to see people come in, not friendly at all, and sort of feels like we’re inconveniencing him by asking to be seated. If you’re not a people person, please don’t get into the hospitality industry.
Sometimes good: The servers. Last night our waiter was friendly enough, and pretty attentive. I’ve been in there when we saw our waiter to take our order, deliver our food, and then take care of the check, but not one second more, even when it’s not terribly busy.
Also sometimes good: The food. The chips, salsa, guac and cheese dip are all great. Last night I also had the fish tacos, which were «meh». Mostly slaw, though I guess I shouldn’t expect much fish for the price. The hubs had the chicken enchiladas, which were okay, but not significantly better than the significantly less expensive Mexican restaurant down the street. I’ve had the shrimp enchiladas on an earlier visit, and didn’t find them to be that great. I think a fat cheesy enchilada overpowers proteins like shrimp and lobster, and really kills the flavor of what should be the star of the dish.
It’s our last visit to Georgia Grill. Not worth the price, or the surliness.

I adore this hidden gem in Buckhead. It’s quiet, unassuming and full of terrific surprises — like being a New Mexico cantina tucked in a random location.
It’s a fun place to meet friends for dinner. And on several occasions, we have done just that. Tonight our helpful waiter explained the margarita options — so helpful in determining your beverage — do want citrus-​y, tangy, super tangy, — you get the picture.
Our routine is simple: be seated, place our drink order along with an order for chips, cheese dip, salsa and guacamole and get caught up.
Then we order dinner. Sometimes, it’s a family-​style order and share dishes around (not so charming but very friendly) and other nights, like tonigh, t we each order a dish and inhale the goodness.
The Wednesday night trout special is pan sauted with a cornmeal crust and served over white beans with chives, red peppers and other yummy bits. Very yummy and very filling.
My dining partners loved their shrimp enchilada and the chicken enchilada.
Even the desserts sounded fabulous — peach and blueberry cobbler with ice cream.
Yum.

We had a very nice experience here.
The restaurant is very pleasant, with a good bar. Skinny margaritas are delicious! We all had something different, and the food was tasty, without a long wait. Service was friendly, and checked on us a few times.
There was nothing I didn’t like. Quite an enjoyable evening.

Went to Georgia Grille on a Friday night. Small menu, small venue. Mostly southwestern inspired food cuisine with a seafood sazazz.
The steak was cooked perfectly. And the stuffed peppers were delish!
The only downsides were the high prices, and loud clientele (it was a bit hard to talk).
Worth a try!

Georgia Grille was busy on a Thursday night, I’m happy I made a reservation ahead of time. We enjoyed a drink at the bar while our table was prepped. I loved the key lime margarita!
We started out with chips and guacamole, this place really knows how to make guac, so chunky and delicious.
Our table had both the shrimp & lobster enchiladas. They were both phenominal but there was a temperature issue with the shrimp enchiladas and the staff took care of it immediately. The service here was impeccable and I definitely would come back to try more of the menu.
