While I’m not one to ever buy store bought costumes, I popped in here in need of some accessories and to take a gander at possible decorations.
Thank goodness for local shops like Costumes, Etc, as this place is sad.
First of all, holy overpriced. Most bagged costumes hovered around the $ 50 mark for truly ugly polyester get ups. That may be the norm at these kind of shops, but gah, I feel sorry for you non-​creative folk who rely on this stuff year after year.
Secondly, I hated the layout. They had kind of sort of organized it by costume type, meaning that if you wanted to repurpose something for a costume for which is wasn’t originally intended, you’d end up walking up and down every.single.aisle. This was especially annoying when searching for items like wigs and fake moustaches.
Third, not one person offered to help while we were in there.
