Harken Health

Harken is a health provider that does things a little bit differently. When you have Harken health insurance, your primary care typically takes place at one of their care centers. You have a dedicated doctor or nurse practitioner, and you also have a Health Coach. Your Coach walks you through your appointments and is available to you outside of your appointments as well. They can follow up and keep you on track with your health goals, help you navigate the healthcare system, and are generally kind people and great advocates for your well being.
This is the only Harken center I’ve visited so far, and it lives up to the hype! The staff are warm and friendly, the medical staff all seem very competent, and it’s a really pleasant experience to go there. I can’t say that about any other medical facility I’ve been to.
I chose Harken through options available to me via the Affordable Care Act, and I’m so pleased that I did! It really has a different mindset than other health care providers. I recommend it highly, along with this facility.
Their office is located in the very back of the Town Brookhaven complex, across the street from the Cinebistro movie theater.
