Proof of the Pudding

Extortion at its finest. «Oh we have a captive audience? Well, Double prices, dumby! Where else are they going to go?» Legalities don’t equal moralities, POTP… and your logo just looks like a scrapbook font.

Proof of the Pudding has set up a couple of kiosks in Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. They sell pre-​made sandwiches, wraps, salads and a few assorted snack items like hummus and yogurt.
Airport food can be a tricky proposition. Most of it is fried and a lot of it is just not very good. But sometimes you really need to eat something before a flight or during a layover. What I like about the pre-​made items at Proof of the Pudding is that they are each labeled with nutritional information. That doesn’t mean they are all particularly healthy, but it does allow you to make an informed decision.
I tend to make poor food choices when I travel. So when I need to eat something before departure, it’s nice to have some healthy options so that I don’t end up scarfing down a greasy fried biscuit before I even start my trip. There will be plenty of time for that kind of regretful decision-​making when I get to wherever it is I’m traveling.
The last time I flew out of Hartsfield it was lunchtime so I got a ham and cheese wrap. It was healthier than any of the salads and very filling. It tasted okay and there wasn’t anything disgusting or fetid in it. Really, that’s about the best you can hope for from a pre-​made wrap you bought at a kiosk.
Edible pre-​made food, reasonably priced and well labeled. If that sounds appealing to you, Proof of the Pudding is a pretty good option.
BONUS: These packaged foods are great for taking onto the plane with you. Don’t be the jerk eating stinky fried fish in-​flight. Bring a nice odorless sandwich instead. Your seatmates will thank you.

I have to say, I did appreciate this little food stand. I just wanted something not too awful for me and I was able to find some Kashi cereal to snack on during my flight.
The price was pretty high. But I was in an airport, nothing is priced normally.

This is a reveiw for a business that I bought no product from so let me just lead off with that. I stopped at one of their carts in the B concourse of Atlanta Hartsfield Airport and thought I’d pick up a nice wrap and some chips to enjoy on my flight. I understand preditory pricing when captive audiences are concerned but WOW… I grabbed an unmarked (very modest) wrap, a bag of chips and a bottle of sweet tea and almost passed out when I was told that it would ring up at $ 18 ($ 10 wrap, $ 4 chips and $ 4 sweet tea)! She was smart enough to tell me the total prior to ringing it up, I’m guessing she has a very high walk away rate when she goes «ta-​daaaa» with the final price. I joined the masses and walked away and wound up buying the exact same wrap from a shop closer to the center of the terminal for half the price and at that it was overpriced.

Not bad for an airport food stand! The food was fresh. Grab the dipping sauce that comes with the wraps.
