Keep driving by this place. Sugar waxing burnt my skin and staff not very knowledgeable on proper technique. Everyone knows you don’t keep waxing over skin repeatedly. I have had sugar waxing in the past never had problems. I decided to try this place major mistake. One star is generous. I should have walked out shame on me.

Sweet staff but the woman who did my brows just burned the hell out off brow skin and my skin lifted a bit on my upper lip too. This happened even after I told the girl I had sensitive skin, so I thought there would be more precaution instead of just ripping it off abruptly as she did.
During the wax I told her I felt like my skin was irritated and she didn’t stop to take care of it or look, she said one sec and kept waxing the other side even though I knew it was becoming painful. The times she wiped it off with the cool wipey was heaven, but I needed more than that, skin was ripped!
Too much hair was taken as well. I asked for a basic clean up and bit of shape I like my brows medium thick. Now I have thin brows when I didn’t ask for that, a nightmare to grow back now for someone who has tiny brows to begin with. I hate my brows after this wax.
No pause to take care of the skin that was ripped and generally a bad brow wax. Pic as proof, sensitive skin ladies don’t get waxed here. Not worth it. I’ll spend the next two weeks with Neosporin on my brow instead;(
Just moved to ATL, and first-​time brow wax, won’t be coming back sadly.

I really like this place. The staff is nice and they make sure you have a comfortable experience with whatever service you decide to get. The customized facial usually works immediate wonders to my skin! & I always almost fall asleep during the facial because it’s soooo relaxing (especially when they give you the arm and hand massage at the end). When it comes to the waxing services, they take care of you. I have a low pain tolerance and I’m always nervous beforehand but the staff walks you through the entire process & makes it as painless as possible. I would definitely recommend this place if you are into skin care & want a comfortable waxing experience! This is the place.

Always get an appointment the day of and they are always really nice. Have been waxed there (Brazilian) every time and always walked out content. No irritated bumps or random hairs left. I also would recommend buying the sugar scrub and the ingrown hair roller ball cream because their products actually work really well! I refer all of my friends to them!

Like always, I’ve had great experiences at Sweet Samba! I wish there were a location closer to me; therefore, I could keep up regular maintenance of waxing. I’ve been three times now-​I forgot the first girls name, but each time has been consistent. Amanda and Dilshad alike have great attention to detail and are knowledgeable of the product. They offer a painless experience… For me that’s a winner!!!
I’ve been told that each esthetician rotates to different locations, but I’ve always been pleased (knock on wood). I will continue to return and hope to come back on a regular basis. Consistency is key… especially for the client. No shaving in between or you’ll alter your growth/​texture pattern.

Love this place! They always make you feel comfortable. Go for the sugar, feels a lot better than just waxing.

Staff was professional and accommodating. I got the BEST eyebrow wax I’ve ever had, and my «Dare to Bare» Brazilian waxer was quick and efficient. I got the intro $ 25 Brazilian and my eyebrows for $ 35 plus tip. Very affordable. I will definitely be back. PS I had Julianna for both waxes. She was very nice and it was obvious she had been doing this a while. I’m not a first timer, but I might as well be because it’s been 3 years. That being said, I would’ve liked a little more instruction on how to take care/​extend the life of my Brazilian, and could even go so far as to say them going ahead and scheduling my next wax would’ve insured I bring my business back. Great overall experience!

Honestly Sweet Samba has been very hit or miss for me. In a pinch, it’s easy to get an appointment. As for quality of your wax, it all depends on what esthetician you get and its hard to request a specific girl. The receptionists can only tell you if they are at their specific location that day. I’ve had amazing waxes and I’ve had them miss one whole side of my Brazilian. I basically have anxiety about how my wax will end up when I get there.

In their defense, I have heard they used to be much more consistent in their quality of services. I will be back if i can’t find an appointment anywhere else since I have a crazy schedule, but it will no longer be my «regular» waxing salon.

This was my first time ever having a Brazilian Wax and it will not be my last!!! I visited the Inman Park location, but they aren’t on Unilocal.I love Sweet Samba. My esthetician Molly was amazing and very friendly. She talked to me the entire time and I welcomed the distraction. Before I knew it we were done. Besides the fact that the wax was a bit warm I don’t have any complaints about this place. I recommend any girl still buying razors to stop by any Sweet Samba location.

I have been going to Sweet Samba for a long time. I continue to be a repeat customer because the services they offer and the customer service they provide is great! I prefer to use the same aesthetician each time (Niesha is amazing!) and they never give me a hard time or make me feel weird about that. Even when I am running late, which is almost always, they still politely check me in and work me back into their schedule. I have recommended friends and will continue to come here every few weeks!

Okay. It took me a long time to ma’am up and write this review because my experience is something I’d rather not look back on.
My first visit to Sweet Samba was fine. My aesthetician insulted me and made me feel inferior, but I’m not there for a confidence boost, right? The wax looked great and I left feeling light and airy in my nether region, if a bit deflated ego-​wise.
Second wax (different aesthetician) was unremarkable.
My third wax was where it got hairy (or… not). As I laid down on the table, I explained to the aesthetician that I liked a «landing strip» — the whole thing is fairly easy. I’ve been waxing in the same shape for years, so you can see exactly what needs to happen. I should have bolted when she said, «okay. Great. Just don’t let me take the whole shebang off! I got so caught up talking to a lady the other day that I accidentally waxed her bare!» But I didn’t run. Because I’m an idiot (I know this because my first aesthetician alluded to it). So anyway, we’re chatting and she’s waxing me (awkwardly over and over in the same place), and she drops a giant glob of wax in the middle of my landing strip. She tries to get it out and fails. She tugs a little harder. Fails. She gets some oil. Fails. She tells me to let it harden. She does and she tries again to get it out. Fails. Then, without asking my permission she GOES TO GET SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP. While she does this, she leaves the door wide open, which is probably good so everyone waiting in the waiting room could have a chance to see me red-​faced and naked on the table tugging at my own lady patch — just in case they needed a preview of the next half hour of their lives.
She comes back with scissors and I give her a wary look. Thankfully I wasn’t dumb enough to let her (or her backup team) touch me again and I cut it out myself. So now there’s hair still where I should be smooth, and a big chunk missing where there should be some sexy fuzz.
I throw my clothes on to leave and the aesthetician throws her arm around me and goes, «aww. Don’t be mad. Are you mad at me?» I can’t even respond.
At the front desk I am quiet when she asks if she should make a note in my file about not liking my service. I quietly say it won’t be necessary because I am never coming back. She still had the nerve to ask me to pay $ 45 for the privilege of having my vagina sculpted to look like a New York City Subway rat with mange. I obliged quietly, and cried in my car afterwards for 45 minutes.

I got a facial here, which definitely had alot more talking involved in the process then I would have liked. The lady shorted my facial about 15 minutes. They do not take American Express so be aware.

I usually wouldn’t leave a 5 star review for getting hair ripped out of… Well you know where… But my last salon charged $ 60 and it was so painful! For $ 35 I will gladly have that done again. Will never leave Sweet Samba!

My first time there, about a year ago, was my first wax, and it was great. I expected a lot more pain than there was, and my aesthetician was friendly and helpful. I kept going back for the great service and the great results.
I’ve noticed in the last 3 – 4 months, though, things seem to be slipping. The staff seem to be more unhappy and unfriendly. I’ve had a couple of waxes that left wax on the skin, or didn’t get all of the hair. Previously, my aesthetician went after every last stray with a tweezers. Now it’s, ‘oh there may be some short hairs left, because they’re short’. Oh well.
I hope this is just a blip, because they’re otherwise a great salon in a great location.

As good as gets for getting hair ripped from your body. I have always have had a great experience. The ladies are very professional. And even though I sulk every time I go… I still go religiously.

Sweet Samba Midtown is beautiful. It feels very homey and calm while being clean and professional. All of the staff I have met have been pleasant. I’ve been a few times for a Brazilian Wax and every single time I have been more than happy with the results.
But now lets talk about my girl Stella! She is such a beautiful person. Her presence is a privilege. Not only did she make me feel comfy but she made me want to stay even longer just for convo! This is the best service I have ever had with the company and i will without a doubt be back to see ONLY her. Once you find the right one you don’t let them go, so you’re stuck with me girl! Lol. I do value the appearance of my kitty (meow!) and I must say she looks and feels better than ever!

I had a good experience there, but this was my first time ever (maybe I will update this review soon). They are not as good or as cheap as Lady Bee in Sandy Springs (no one is). But they had me at «yes we use hard wax.» I get that some women pretend the other wax (the one where they place a paper on top of it and pull, ikes), but what I don’t get is why waxing places don’t give you an option. Anyway, enough with that. Sweet Samba is acceptable and they were able to squeeze me in in a short notice. Plus their location is great (across from Trade Joe’s so that I can do grocery shopping at the same trip)
