Total Moving Services

Received a response to my review. Owner stated I did not want items moved responsibly. Not sure where he received that information. For example, my brother and I placed shipping bolts on the front loading washer both times it had been moved. This business owner does not have the information needed to make the assumption about how I want my property moved. He was given a list of items to be moved during our phone conversation. He hides behind regulations when defending prices. He quoted 8 – 12 hours to move just furniture. It took 8 hours to move my brothers 3 bedroom house boxes, furniture and all appliances so 12 hours to move just furniture and three appliances is crazy. No matter how he defends his pricing, he is still too expensive and makes statements about potential customers based on unfounded «facts» (=opinion). This phone call lasted over 10 minutes since I listed all items we wanted movers to move. He spent a great deal of time explaining «regulation» on moving front loading dryers which is why his call was longer than any other company I spoke with. His condescending attitude during this call (and in response to my review) is one reason I cannot do business with him. He needs to l learn to accept criticism from people and improve. Sometimes the best response to a negative comment is no direct comment in return. Shouting «you’re wrong and I am right» will never fix a perceived wrong. Learn when to shut up.

I left a decent review for these guys on thumbtack where I found them. Removing one star because my initial contact with Gerald was that he came off arrogant and condescending. I suddenly get the most disrespectful, immature review response filled with lies about things that never happened. What happened to customer service? What happened to honesty? Nothing in the response had anything to do with my experience, they just made up this long story about bootleg movers and me sitting on santas lap. I have NEVER dealt with such an immature group of people who would lie just to make themselves look good. No way would i recommend such a company with lack of morals, dignity and respect. I am beyond disappointed to say the least, very unprofessional.

These guys did a move for me on yesterday, they were very professional and got the job done fairly quickly.
I will use them again and refer them to friends and family.
Gerald the owner knows EVERYTHING (there isn’t a topic he doesn’t know at least something about) but he was helpful and courteous as well. lol

I called this «professional» company to possibly schedule a move and lets just say they will never have me for a customer. The person who answered my call was not only rude, disrespectful, arrogant and condescending, but he insinuated that only people with ««no money worries» can afford to use his service. All I simply asked was an approximate time, since I have moved several times and it has never taken more than 2 – 3 hours (including drive time). I explained to him that the costs per hour was not my issue but that I had a tight time frame to work within to accomplish my move and if that could be accommodated but he kept turning the conversation back around to whether I could really afford his service. I told him my finances were none of his concern but he continued to focus the conversation on the non-​issue for me: the cost per hour. My issue was that I could not do an all day move for a 1 bedroom apartment. I quickly figured out that their intent is to take as long as possible when he stated that they may only be able to move 6 items in one hour? Huh? I completely understand is «desire» to have customers who care nothing about the cost, but it is something totally different to try and take advantage of people. I am not sure if he thinks it is appropriate to speak to a potential customer in this manner, but one thing I can say for sure is that he will NEVER have to worry about ever having me as a client.

I had a 10 am appt for the movers to arrive. I received a call Friday night saying 11. I was ok with that. Around 11, I received a call saying it would be more like 1pm. I was still ok. They did not arrive until 2:55pm. I was ready to get started at this point. I told the owner Gerald over the phone that we didn’t have that much stuff and it would take less than 5 hours. He insisted that we prepay for 5 hours, promising that we would be refunded the difference. The EXACT time of the move was 4 hours and 17 minutes. He owes me $ 75 back. I tried to tell him this over the phone and he cut me off and hung up on me. He has stopped answering our phone calls and his vm is full. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Update: 1 month later and still no refund or returned calls. He is still lying to the BBB and fighting my complaint. We were NEVER offered a refund. He has repeatedly denied that they are at fault. I have the paperwork that HIS crew supervisor filled out and signed, in which he wrote the time the crew began working and the time they competed their work. HIS paperwork also states that the bill in both half and quarter hour increments, That paperwork is legally binding and I will happily provide a copy to the BBB anytime. I can assure you that if we were the party that owed money, he would quickly refer back to the paperwork and I intend to do the same. As far as his 5 crew members agreeing to the time worked, of course they are! They have already been paid. The ONE time my husband spoke with Gerald and his crew supervisor on the phone, Gerald told the men that if he finds out that they told him the wrong time, he was taking the difference out of their paychecks. Of course they are not going to admit any fault. During this same phone conversation, Gerald actually asked my husband if we would split the difference in what he owes us, since he has already paid his men. That was the closest he ever came to admitting fault and offering us any kind of monetary compensation.
