NEVER buy a car from this dealership. I went to buy a 4runner that was in pretty good condition, and spent hours get my chain jerked around. Finally bought the car, drove home, to find out that the spare tire was taken off of my vehicle (It was dark and late at night by the time they finally finished everything). Trying to get them to give me a spare tire for the car I had just bought from them was a nightmare. There was also a small knick in the windshield, that they promised they would put gel in when I had the time to drive back up there. However, after repeatedly calling ten times, and finally getting someone to call back, they told me if I didn’t have a ‘promise note’, they couldn’t do anything for me. On top of the fact they filled out every document for my registration and finance documents with an incorrect address, which has caused me many hours trying to update my address on many documents (I had given them the right address three times, so I’m very confused how it ended up getting so messed up). I will never buy another car from here, and I will make sure to let everyone I know that they should never go to this dealership unless they want to be cheated.

This review is about the service department. We have a solara convertible has a recall on cracking dash. After several tries we still cannot get them to order the dash for us and get it replaced. It has been almost a year. Finally we went to another dealership and they have ordered the part. This has been my only interaction with them but I am now in the market for a new car and I would never buy one from them because of my experience with the service department.

ON THE SEVENTH DAY «HE» RESTED, NOT YOU!
I get it, it’s Sunday, and people want to relax but if you are going to show up for work, you need to commit. So we arrive at Toyota because we are in the area and realize that it is a beautiful day to check out some features on the Sienna. We get a salesman who does not even introduce himself. I’m not introducing myself because I want to see how long this is going to play out before he gives us his name. Throughout the entire process of looking at two vehicles and discussing our interests, he did not introduce himself. Even as he is writing my name down, it doesn’t occur to him to introduce himself. Even as we are leaving, he doesn’t give his name, a handshake or a business card. Well, if that’s how you want to represent yourself and your business, carry on!
Now the last time this happened at a Toyota dealership, I extended my hand and introduced myself and let it go because I was dealing with a very young person who was new on the job. This sales person was in his late 50’s or early 60’s so he should know better right?
Okay Toyota salespeople here is the script please feel free to us it:
Hello, My name is Tony! (extend hand and shake). Welcome to Toyota! How may I help you?
If you are simply showing me, (no test drive needed), two different cars, I really need you to bring both keys at the same time because I really dislike waiting. If this is a dealership issue, I need Toyota to step up and use some of that same technology you put in your cars on your lot to create easy remote access to all cars. Also, how difficult is it to open up one model of every new car as the sample car so that customers can freely exam them during business hours?
My guy was way too casual (like Mr. Rogers). I needed him to act with a sense of urgency because my attention span just isn’t that long. I felt my impatience growing and will not be returning to this location in the future.
Here’s a thought for all salespeople everywhere:
When you are trying to sell something you need to know who you are talking to, (know your target). If you want to be invisible, keep talking to my husband. He doesn’t have a smart phone, he doesn’t have a card wallet and he is not going to give you his personal phone number. As soon as we exit the business, he forgets all about you because he knows that I am documenting and storing the contact information. He also doesn’t care because I have the last word regarding products and services. There is a reason he keeps referring you to me. Think about it!
If I don’t have your name and business card, you are invisible to me and I will not have any contact with you, so keep talking to my husband!

OK, so I have a Toyota Corolla and I went here to get 27 pt inspection and a key cut. I came in on a Friday afternoon and was told that the techs who did the key cut were gone and to come back Sat. morning. I always have mixed feelings about going to do car work on Saturdays because of the long waits, but I didn’t want to wait any longer for the inspection and key cut. I came back on a Saturday (no appt btw) and was told by one of the managers that a tech will look at my car and get a key cut. I went into the waiting area (which has pretty good public wifi, so bring your laptop if you want to get work done) and waited for about 3 hours. I knew I’d expect a long wait, but 3 hours? Seriously? And after waiting, the tech who was working on my car didn’t tell me where my car was, and the manager working with me didn’t know where it was either, so I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for people to find my car and also walking around the place to find my car. I was going to request the free car wash at the end, but I was like no, I need to go home.
Overall, for a general free 27 pt inspection if you have time to kill, I’d recommend this place. For other things, I would not. It’s a long wait time, staff is disorganized, and prices are not that good compared to other local auto shops.

BEWARE OF SALES SCAMS!
***UPDATED to 2 stars, information regarding the update follow after the original post***
If you all are doing any car shopping now or in the future stay away from World Toyota Scion on Peachtree Industrial. They have questionable sales practices that attempt to scam you out of substantial money. After agreeing on a price for the vehicle, during the finance process, they slid in extra accessory charges that were already on the car but never brought up during the sales process as an additional charge. Most people would take the final agreed upon price as just that, a FINAL price before taxes and fees! Apparently this dealership takes the opportunity to slide in extra charges afterwards. The sales agent then rushed out as they were on holiday hours and left my family to deal with the finance agent. Also, when the vehicle was brought in the very next business day, to our surprise they did nothing to fix the problem and also casually fell back on their no return policy. I don’t know many reputable dealerships that don’t take a new vehicle back the very next business day if there was a misunderstanding or even if the customer didn’t like the vehicle. Anyways, shady business practices lumped in with no return policy should be enough of a red flag for others not to risk doing business here when there are plenty of other honest Toyota dealerships in the Atlanta area. We’ll be contacting Toyota USA on Monday to see if they’ll do anything to correct this situation.

28DEC2015: First and foremost I’d like to note that after dealing with a very professional General Manager my family was able to reach some sense of a resolution with the dealership. This review could have easily been raised to a 3 possibly 4 star but as you can see it only went up from a 1 to 2, which indicates below average performance and I will explain why in the following passage.
After posting about our sales experience on Christmas Eve and the entire lack of service the following business day, we received a message from the GM, that they wanted to discuss the issue in person. My family proceeded to go back to the dealership which they had to do anyways, because on both past visits they were NOT provided mats for the BRAND NEW vehicle they had just purchased.
After agreeing to refund half of the contested charges, they offered to give my family the mats at a cost of $ 100! That’s right, they wanted more money for MATS for the car that my family had already purchased! They argued the mats were part of the «upgraded» features, which were the point of contention for the original charges that were added onto the «final» price. So my father asked for basic Toyota mats that should come standard with any NEW VEHICLE, you know the ones that were not part of this so-​called «upgrade.» To this request, he was told that they couldn’t do him the disservice of putting «basic» mats into his RAV4. So apparently they don’t want to give him regular mats, on grounds that they are beneath the standard of the car but that apparently NO mats at all are okay… Seriously?
Honestly, I can’t believe I’m having to waste my time typing this right now as I’ve never seen anything like this before. WHO SELLS A NEW CAR WITHOUT MATS INSIDE?! This isn’t some high performance exotic hyper-​car that has a bare carbon fiber floorboard to save on the extra few ounces of weight! This issue could have been resolved without anymore anger over sub standard business practices and poor customer service, but they had to get one last jab in. This plus the entire service experience is why I rate it at 2 stars, and they only barely deserve that.

Wish I could select less than 1 star. Or an even zero stars. Bottom line, World Toyota agreed to a deal via email and phone calls. Though once I drove 2.5 hours to finalize they reneged on the agreement. Classic bait and switch.

Customer service is horrible. I had an appt to fix a safety recall switch and the recall notice said it would take 1 hour. When I brought it in, I was told to allow 2 hours. I went to lunch and came back and say for another hour. When it had been 2 hours, I had to hunt all over for the service person and when they finally pages him, he said it would check. Came back and said it would be another hour! I asked why since I had an appt and he said the technician started on another car since I had «dropped off and left»!! In doing the paperwork, they wrote that «customer requested a tire check and 27 point inspection «- which I absolutely did not! And of course, they found two things that should be fixed– to the tune of $ 700. I will never take my car there again. Now I wonder if the safety recall is just a scam fir them to drum up business. Avoid this place if you can.

There’s nothing wrong about this place, but nothing exceptional either. They will take care of the Toyotacare maintenance and not tell you anything else that is recommended, such as tire rotation. I foolishly thought tire rotation was included/​covered but discovered 10k miles after it should have been done that not only was it not done, but no one was going to tell me that either.
Complimentary car wash is nice, but you have to ask for it and it basically only washes the easy spots. The entire back of my car is still covered in filth. The waiting area isn’t awful but it’s not amazing either.

I had a good experience buying a car from World
Toyota. They matched an offer I had received for my trade. My sales rep., Ruben, was great to work with .
Management was courteous and professional. All in all, one of my better car buying experiences. The
customer waiting area could use updating.

Was sold on a several hundred dollar option when I bought my Prius to have nitrogen filled tires, and was told that they would fill them for free when necessary. Found out today that the service department doesn’t offer nitrogen filling at all. Thanks, I guess?

After some careful reflection I decided to write this review.
My 2010 Toyota Corolla stopped going in reverse and began having issues driving. My first thought for repairs was World Toyota because since I purchased this vehicle I had routine maintenance performed here. I scheduled an appointment for service on Thursday Oct 1^st. I had a trip planned that weekend so I wanted to get the car in to be diagnosed before we left that friday. My car was towed there and processed. I didn’t hear anything about the status of my vehicle until I called to inquire. I had an extended warranty on my car which only required a diagnosis and a phone call to authorize service.
First I was told Jesse was handling my service then I was told Jerry was handling it. After two days of the run around I was told that Steven would be handling my services. At first Steven seemed capable, informative and available but that soon faded. Finally on Saturday I was sent an email outlining the potential problems with my vehicle with am estimate totalling over $ 4000. With no explanation of the problems I called on Saturday and was told an inspector from the warranty company would have to come out on Monday or Tuesday to inspect the vehicle. Had I not called I wouldn’t have been told about this delay. Steven assured me that he would keep me up to date with any developments. Not true.
It wasn’t until I called on Wednsday livid that I got answers. I first called my warranty company to inquire and they told me that after the inspector left tuesday that they had been trying to get in contact with Steven and left 2 messages. When I called and demanded to speak with the manager I was called by Steven minutes later saying that the repairs had been approved with a completion date of Saturday Oct 10^th!!!
The most expensive work I’ve ever had done, the most money they’ve ever made off of my vehicle and they handle it as if I needed an oil change. When I finally was able to get my vehicle on Sunday the 11^th I walked into the service center and wasn’t even looked at. I asked for some assistance and a agent directed me to another agent who was closer to Stevens desk, effectively pushing us off. We had an agent approach to help and opened Stevens desk to retrieve keys. Without asking our names or the make/​model of our vehicles he began to sort through the keys to find our car. It so happens our car keys were the first in the stack and he silently put that one back in the drawer and sorted through the rest of the car keys. I stopped him and informed him that it was in fact our keys he placed back in the drawer. He looked at the paperwork and handed me the keys. Not before asking again if we had paid despite the receipt for $ 4200 PAID stapled to the first page. No offer to bring the vehicle out to us. NOTHING.
Bad customer service is a pet peeve of mine and I’m sure many others. After this I will not return to World Toyota and I think others should think carefully before doing so. I’ll take my vehicle to a place where it doesn’t seem like a chore for their employees to service customers. I only gave them 2 stars because the services before we’re fine.

Used to take my Prius to Thorton Rd Toyota. Never again. These guys here are fast and super friendly. Normally what took me 2 hours at the other place took me all of 45min today. They kept me informed of what all they were doing and how long it would be. Great job !!!

Poor customer service. Unfortunately they are the only Toyota dealership that is convenient. They act like they are doing you a favor by working on your car. There are a couple of decent service advisors but if you don’t get one of them then plan on being treated poorly. I watched the service advisor tell a lady that wanted her tires checked that she pulled in the wrong door and to go around again. There was a car parked in front of the other door and she even asked how to get by. He offered no assistance and made her feel like she was a nuisance. I tried to ask questions about my service and got yes and no answers. More no’s than yes. If anybody can recommend a chamblee area Toyota service shop please let me know.

Recently went back for another oil change. I arrived mid-​morning Saturday and was expecting a very long wait. Was very happy with this particular experience given the timeliness of the service and how pleasant the person helping me was.

Great Car but we definitely feel like we got ripped off on our trade in and payments.

Be prepared to WAIT for a LONG time! I made an appointment online a week ahead for a 12pm Tuesday appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I dropped my car off exactly on time, and now it’s 5:30pm (5.5 HOURS LATER) and I’m STILL WAITING!
Let me count the ways I’ve been waiting…
1) When I arrived to the Service Dept. No one came out to greet me so I went in to ask for assistance. I WAITED about 10 MINUTES just for an employee behind the counter finish what he was doing and pull up my info and transfer me over to the person who was assigned to help me.
2) For an oil change and tire rotation, I was told it would be a couple hours (already a long time for scheduled regular maintenance), but then when I asked him to check an air bag recall (of course he didn’t inform me, I had to ask), he said there was in fact a recall and that would be another hour. I said that would be ok as long as I could get a shuttle ride back home (2.8 miles away).
3) I WAITED 4.5 HOURS for what should’ve have been a 3 hours service time max. At 4:30pm, I was finally called and informed that my service was complete. I again requested a shuttle to come get me.
4) I waited AN HOUR for the shuttle to show up – and I only live 2.8 miles away! I called twice during that time and both my service rep and another employee acted clueless and dumbfounded by the fact that I had been waiting so long. They kept telling me that the driver was «on the way» but he didn’t show up for an HOUR for what is only a 10 minute drive.
All in all, if you don’t value your time at all then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would find a better place with faster and more convenient service.

I am usually very satisfied with services; however, today I drove in for service and was told I needed towing if I couldn’t leave my vehicle!!! Really??? Drove in now need to be towed? Go figure! Gave 3 stars for friendliness of advisor and popcorn minus 3 stars for insulting my intelligence!!! Not to mention $ 1800 estimate for repair!!! Bye and see you never again!!!

I went to get my standard maintenance on my 2012 Camry. I know what you are thinking $$$$$. Well me too but it’s a Toyota. In order to ride for next 10 years, you must get the maintenance. Actually, I had been driving with one eye closed. so that I could ignore the orange maintenance light. I rolled into the bay at 11 30 am. I was feeling more than a little smug because I was on time. I asked for the technician that I had an appointment with. but he was out.
I felt a little deflated but the person that told me that was his boss, Amber. She proved to be polite, knowledgeable, and intuitive. She answered all my questions before I asked. She had basically made me a Toyota fan all over again.
The price for my service was reasonable and less than I expected to spend.

Let me preface this by saying I have a 1996 Toyota 4Runner that I have had for almost 13 years so it carries a rather odd nostagic value with it.
Driving to work, my check engine light came on which should also come with a few dollar signs next to the light — because to me it means money. I booked an appointment immediatly online and took it to World Toyota 2 hours later. On my initial arrival, I was immediatly greeted by Nadim and comforted by the fact that my old 4Runner could require some pricey major repairs but that he would be happy to work with me so I would understand the issues.
Once my engine light assessment came back with a diagnosis, it turns out I was looking at over $ 3200 of required repairs. for a car worth ~$ 3200. Due to the assignment of my car when I originally booked my appointment online, I was called by a different service representative who broke this news to me in a very matter of fact way and even gave me a sales pitch to buy a new car before my options were even weighed. Call me sensitive, but his way of addressing the issue with me was very off putting as I have had my 4Runner since I was 15 years old and the approach the sales representative took was not very understanding or caring — frankly it just put me in a bad mood.
I called the Service Director, Danny, to discuss my concerns and requested to be moved back under Nadim’s service who was sympathetic to my situation. Danny was very apologetic and understanding and worked with me to get the best price on my service as well as turned the maintenance back over to Nadim to follow through with the repair.
Several times during the week that my car was in the shop, I was given updates on the repair status which gave me comfort that work was being performed. Once day, I even stopped by the shop to get something out of my trunk and Nadim and Montez took the time to bring me back to the garage and show me my new transmission as well as the other areas of concern that may needed to be fixed down the road. This was reassuring as seeing needed repairs (leaks) in person versus on paper makes a big difference and is comforting that you aren’t being caught in an «upsell» situation.
My car was complete a week later and was washed and vacuumed when I went to pick it up and is now running like a teenager. I was overall very happy about my service and thankful for the team at Toyota World who walked me through the entire process! Thank you Nadim, Danny and Montez!

I purchased a 2013 Yaris from World Toyota on December 27^th and was initially pleased with my sales experience. The manager David Hart worked with me to get my payments down to a level that worked with my student budget and was a pleasure to deal with. It was overall a good experience except for the 2hr wait to finalize the paperwork. Unfortunately things didn’t go well after the sale.
I discovered during my first fill up that the gas tank would shut the pump off prematurely after only putting in around 15−30cents of fuel. Whoever put gas in my car upon purchase failed to report this problem and let me drive off the lot in a broken car.
Trip 1: I immediately took it back to the World Toyota service department to have them inspect the car and fix this problem. I waited 2hrs and was told that it needed a new charcoal canister and they would have to order the part. I attend school two hours away and couldn’t bring the car back till the following weekend.
Trip 2: I returned the following week and they installed the part. After leaving the service department I went to the gas station down the street and discovered the car was still broken. Unsurprisingly they hadn’t even bothered to test it after the repair. I expressed my concern with the service rep about what had happened and requested the repairs take place at a closer dealership or for them to give me a rental for a week until it is repaired, but am denied my request because the car is 2,000 miles past the general warranty.
I was contacted the next day by Daniel, the service manager, and he apologized for the problems but says they’ve now thoroughly looked at the fuel system, replaced some other parts and have decided that the valve in gas tank is faulty and that a new tank will resolve the issue… but the parts must be ordered. I’m not sure why they didn’t test the car initially instead of slapping parts on, but we will address that later.
Trip 3: I drive 140miles back from school to the dealership and drop the car off. The service advisor tells me that he will keep me up to date on the progress and it shouldn’t take more than a day or two to install the new tank. The second day arrives and I have still heard nothing. I make numerous calls and cannot get in touch with my service advisor.
I am finally contacted by the service department saying that the gas tank wasn’t actually the needed part but that it’s something else and they need to order more parts…
Trip 4: I was kept in a rental while the additional parts (filler neck, etc) were shipped and the repair was completed. And will be getting the car back this week.
VERDICT
The Good:
1. Stood by their sell and covered the cost of the repair.
2. After wasting lots of my time they allowed me to keep a rental car when I went out of town while the final repair was being completed.
The Bad:
1. The issue wasn’t reported by the staff when the car was filled with gas upon purchase.
2. The service department didn’t inspect my car thoroughly when I brought it in but slapped on parts instead.
4. The speed and accuracy of the service department is questionable.
5. The service department has failed to return my calls and has been very difficult to get in touch with
