Handyman Services By Mike

Set up an appointment with Mike through email to have him come look at various projects I had going on at my house. I emailed the day prior just to confirm that he was going to be there at the designated time, which was 11:30am on a weekday (I was missing work for this). It wasn’t until then, that I was informed that he received a surprise trip to the beach by his wife and would not be able to come by. No problem, I am reasonable and understand that sometimes things come up last minute or slip through the cracks. We rescheduled for later in the week in the evening (5:30pm). Unfortunately, Mike never showed. I called and left a message at 6pm to ask if he was coming by and no call back. I am not really sure why he has so much difficulty following up through email or just picking up the phone. One time — I understand, but twice — there is no excuse. I would have appreciated a call or email letting me know he was not going to make it, as I waited around for him and shifted existing plans. I can’t really speak to the work that he does, but based on his ability to follow up and communicate, I have little confidence that its satisfactory.

Please be careful when hiring this guy. Been 2 weeks and dumpster is still at the house was included in the price to be removed and never picked up. Ignoring phone calls has a history of doing this to people.

What ever you do please DO NOT CALL Mike… He might not have time for us! JUST KIDDING!
During this month’s Snowpocalypse we had cracks forming in our walls and a swaying carport. We had the snow removed but we were very worried about the structural integrity of both our house and our carport. We emailed Mike and received a return email almost immediately.
Mike came out with his wonderful wife 2 days later. They were both extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind. They told us the wall cracks were superficial and nothing to worry about. A little paint and caulk would take care of it when we were ready.
The carport was another story. It needed immediate shoring up and he told us not to park any cars under it until it was fixed. They sent us a very reasonable estimate the same day and 2 days later it was fixed. My husband called me and said «Mike showed up early. Is that allowed if you are a carpenter» LOL The carport looks great and it doesn’t move anymore when the wind blows. :) Mike used nice thick boards and instead of nails or screws he used big bolts to hold it nice and tight. He said that it may need some more work once the Spring comes and the ground thaws. We are very pleased and relieved by the work that has already been done. If the carport had been made the way Mike fixed it it wouldn’t have needed any repairs in the first place. We look forward to working with them in the future.

Mike and his partner arrived on time and did an excellent job! My small construction job was slightly more difficult than expected, but they were very positive about it, were extremely nice people, and got the job done well in short time! Definitely give Mike a call if you need anything done in your home, large or small!

Mike was awesome to work with, and did a great job. He showed up on time, was very pleasant and friendly, and knew his stuff. He worked fast, and charged a fair price. We had a lot of little projects (like a door that was very drafty, changing out some light fixtures) and two big projects – ripping down a ceiling and hanging a new one, and putting in a new door and creating a new thresh hold for the door.
I’m about to contact him again as something else just went wrong in our very old house!

Mike, you impressed me thoroughly. Thank you so much for the professional, punctual, and friendly work that you completed recently on my home. My wife and I are very grateful and agree that you will definitely be the first person we contact for any relevant future jobs.
People, if you are where I was a couple weeks ago wondering, «How am I going to get these projects done?» Then look no further. For one very fair price, I got my garage ceiling fixed, hallway baseboards repaired, perfectly corrected tracks on my two bedrooms’ closets, and a fixed drawstring on the curtain for my back porch’s sliding door. Mike listens, does his work well, is very timely, and is certainly comfortable to work with. No gruff caveman here! I hope you consider Mike — we’re glad we did!
