Let me start off by saying I love Momma G’s. Been eating it since I was a kid and still keep coming back for more. With that said I try to avoid this location. I don’t know why but the service is extremely slow here, and I’m not talking about a one-time thing. I’ve come here multiple times and waited nearly half an hour when there were only a few people ahead of me in line. I’ve worked in the food industry and I understand that places sometimes get backed up, but there’s no reason it should take 2 – 3 people 30 mins to make 5 – 6 orders. I recommend the one on Magnolia, never had a problem there.

5 Stars for the Bar Tender! We came in for a sandwich and to possibly get a growler of beer. He over heard us at a table talking about getting some beer and I was just looking at all their options wide eyed, not sure what to get. He actually came over to the table after he was clocked out, and started talking beer with me. After hearing what I was into he came back over with a few samples off beer for me to try. He was spot on with what I wanted. Two Thumbs up for the customer service here!!! Because of this bartender I will be back! Thanks. Oh and the sandwich was pretty darn good… Forgot to add they do have Growlers of beer here!

My boyfriend and I came in at 8:30PM to eat dinner. They were sweeping up the restaurant so we were afraid that they were close to closing(we did not know their hours). The entire time we were there from the moment we entered the door to the time we left the establishment, we were made to feel as though we were hassling them by staying past closing time. My boyfriend and I have both worked in the restaurant industry for at least five years each and know the pains of having customers come in fifteen minutes before closing. What a surprise when we found out they had another 3.5 operating hours left in their shift as they closed at midnight. My boyfriend went inside after our meal was done to throw away our trash and one employee looked at him and begrudgingly asked him if he planned on ordering anymore food. Sorry that our order of supreme nachos and two Reubens impeded you from standing around. Excuse us for asking you to do your jobs. The food was actually pretty decent and that’s why I’m giving them two stars. However, it did take them some time to prepare our food even with it being just the two of us there to eat. Would I go back? No. And if I did, I’d go to the one on Magnolia. Maybe they’re better trained in the world of human decency and understand the basic rules of politeness over there.

I tried Mama Goldberg’s on a recent visit to Auburn for a football game. After the game, the place was packed. We had rather large group, so a couple of us scouted a table while we kept a couple people in line to do the ordering. We got the Mama’s Love and the Bull Rider and both were pretty good! Coming from Texas, I thought the«nachos» were a hilarious rendition-nacho cheese Doritos, melted pepper jack cheese, and jalapenos? Umm. okay, sure why not? The walls are covered in pictures of patrons, and it has a fun, collegiate vibe. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to eat here, but it satisfied all 7 of us.

Momma G’s was an almost daily stop for me a college and is still a regular stop a decade later. The unique sandwich steaming system and steamed nachos are awesome! There is something for everyone and I’m never disappointed.

The closest place where I could grab food when I was living in Cambridge. The food is general but it’s a good place where you might bump into acquaintances who are important. I also enjoyed to collect their to go drink cups.
