Puget Systems

Ordered a brand new high dollar gaming PC and wow am I impressed! A member of their customer service team worked with me closely to get my rig to the specs I wanted at the appropriate price, my pc was built & delivered within 4 days.
Normally I would just build my own rig like what I have done with the previous three, but this go around I wanted to make sure everything was done right especially since my budget was far higher than previous builds. Everything from the cable modules to the shipping protection (included eight foam securements for each corner top/​bottom and a foam insulator on the inside of the tower) was perfect. I’m so glad I made this purchase and will use Puget Systems for future computers!
If I could give a ⁶⁄₅ rating I would.

I live in CA. I found Puget Systems after I started my search for a custom PC builder. I don’t know much about computer systems but I did know that the kind of computer I was looking to buy was going to be expensive. I work a lot with the Adobe Première Suite and I needed something that could handle 4k footage, multiple programs and quick renders – to name a few.
I was very nervous about making this purchase because I didn’t know enough about computers to know exactly what I needed. I called a few different places and I was actually getting discouraged because I couldn’t get the kind of help I needed. I could sense people getting impatient with me so I would end the call and move on.
After searching the internet for about a week, I found Puget Systems. I called them up and I was immediately connected with customer service agent, William. I told William that I wanted help determining what I actually needed in a computer system.
William asked me several questions about what I was going to use the system for and what kind of programs I was going to run. He was even asking what version of various programs I would be running. After reviewing my answers, William went line by line with me while I built my computer. He gave me ideas on where I could save some money and he gave me ideas on where I needed to spend money. Together we came up with a system that I feel GREAT about.
I feel TOTAL peace about this big purchase. I feel confident in the system I’ve purchased AND I feel confident that I’m going to get great customer service if I ever need it. This has to be one of the VERY best customer service experiences I have ever had.

So, let me tell you about buying this gorgeous machine… First, the sales response was superb. I received regular and prompt correspondence from a sales person, Wilson (via email) as I was selecting the components for my new computer. He even made suggestions on a reconfiguration that saved me about $ 800. The select-​to-​build software was also excellent. I could see what they had in stock, what was on order, and the exact status of the assembly. I got very nice thermal images sent, showing operating temperatures and cabinet details. When my new baby arrived, the packaging was perfect. In fact, it was so nice to unbox, i feel Puget needs one of those «unboxing» videos that people post on youtube. I use the computer for Photoshop, and even when processing very large files, this thing is soooo quiet! I mean really, really quiet –as in, the the first time I started it up, the light came on and I was convinced it didn’t boot up/​wondered if it was running. All in all, a dream experience for a custom order. After years of abuse from Dell, with their mongrel parts, bloatware and horrible customer service, I’ll gladly pay more for a top-​tier computer and a company that stands behind it.

I was on the fence between assembling my computer and going with Puget, and Puget ended up being the better choice. It’s nice to have someone with tons of experience help instead of researching tons of permutations of what’s available out there, and then go through trial and error to make sure everything works.
Here are my highlights why I’m Puget-​for-​life (also, please check out their website, can’t list all awesomeness here)
— OS arrived with zero crapware installed. It’s as would have done it for myself or a friend
— there was additional box with all remaining items using during the installation, just in case I need it one day
— I could see notes from assembly process online — and testing!
— email support (before, during, and after) is great… i’ve even emailed photos when computer arrived with questions about few parts and reply was pretty quick
If you do the math, there’s a price premium of going with Puget vs doing it yourself. If you’re assembly pro, you might not need to, but for the rest of us, it’s definitely worth the price of saved time and frustration. I had an idea what graphic card, HD and CPU i wanted (and if possible, smaller case), and the Puget guided me through the rest.
Also, if you prefer smaller cases, check out Echo — it’s actually possible to combine power and smaller case together, and not have it meltdown because of overheating!
I’ve originally found Puget by researching DIY forums, and yes, overwhelmingly positive reviews are true — now adding mine to the mix.

Going from years of HP products to having a computer custom built was daunting but as soon as I found Puget Systems, the choice was made. I wanted a custom-​built gaming computer, but didn’t want to build it myself. I didn’t want to buy something like an Alienware because I didn’t think that would give me the most bang for my buck. I found Puget Systems while just browsing the Internet. After emailing back and forth with one of their reps a little bit I was amazed at how attentive and knowledgable they were. They also impressed me with their honesty. The rep actually discouraged me from spending money on components that would have cost a lot of money for little benefit.
I had a lot of questions and they very patiently answered all of them.
The system I ultimately got fit my needs perfectly. It’s a monster for gaming and runs smoothly and quietly. No problems at all.

I have never found a computer/​technology vendor as good as Puget Systems. They provide EXCELLENT customer service, prompt and high quality technical assistance, and top notch equipment tailored to your specific needs, and they do it all at a very reasonable price. I happily drove from Seattle to their Auburn location to buy equipment although they will arrange for delivery.

I am updating this review because after dealing with Puget and their stellar work I am giving them five stars. They only had our computer for a couple days, which in my opinion is very quick and a small amount of time for fixing the cooling fan, issues on the OS and issues with the memory. By the way we didn’t know about the memory issues, but they found it while working on the other issues and were able to fix the problem by re-​seating the memory. By the time they were done, the total was $ 40 for the cooling fan. We have life time labor with our computer so no labor costs. But it gets even better. A few days later hubby receives an e-​mail that we are receiving a refund because the cooling fan that was installed was used. So we end up paying nothing! :)

Haven’t received the computer in our lab yet as it’s still being built. I’m sure everything will be good with the hardware, but as far as service went everything was smooth simple with these guys. Very professional and helpful.

I was looking for a quiet photo and video editing system. I have built my own systems in the past but I didn’t have the time to build one now. Researched the internet and came across Puget Systems. The great reviews helped me decide to go with them. What a pleasure. William answered my questions. Came up with some options that would save money. Imagine that. A sales associate that didn’t try to up sell you on components! Submitted my order. I decided to make a change over the weekend and got in touch with William right away on Monday. He made the change and once your payment clears you can watch the whole build unfold online. They show you every step. Post the benchmarks from many tests. Post pictures of your system before they repackage it. Even include thermal pictures of the system at idol and under load. The packaging is great. FedEx did their best to destroy the box but Puget Systems ship your box inside another box and the system was intact. They know that some systems ship cross country so they took great care to package a form fitting foam material inside the case that filled the voids inside. They also install a nice looking bracket that helps to hold the video card in place. Another nice touch was rather than just install one of the fans that are located in the front of the case in its mount they moved it to the rear of an empty hard disk rack and angled it towards the CPU cooler to help cool. They packed sound dampening material in every nook and cranny making the system quiet. They send you every extra part that came with your components. All the manuals. A nice binder with a personal thank you, tips, benchmark results, invoice, contact information for all components and software installed and all the original disks. Overall I wish I could give them a hundred stars. Very impressed with the build quality as well as the quality of the company. If you decide to purchase from Puget Systems you can’t go wrong and won’t regret the decision.

For my work I needed a computer that would allow me to record and produce Camtasia videos with ease, and I also needed quiet. My work-​provided laptop produced a discernible whirring noise in the background of all of my videos, which was horrible. Work wasn’t in a position to provide a better laptop and because I work in a home office, I decided it was time to update the office desktop.
I was excited to find Puget Custom Computers for a number of reasons – one is that they are US-​based. Additionally, I’m in the Pacific Northwest, and I really believe it’s important to support local talent as much as possible. All of Puget’s reviews have been glowing as well.
I worked with Wilson Chau over a series of e-​mails outlining what I thought I needed. My original «fantasy build» contained extraneous things that were either unnecessary or more expensive than necessary, and I deeply appreciate Puget System’s integrity. Wilson made excellent recommendations, guiding me toward best quality and most cost effective materials. In late August, I ordered a Serenity build desktop. This was promptly delivered, and the customer service both before and after has been phenomenal (including a follow up phone call to ensure all was well).
The Serenity system has been perfect. Video production is snappy, in fact everything is snappy. And quiet. My videos are incredibly quiet, so the Serenity system quiet build has been profoundly useful. It’s true what the description of the Serenity says: if it weren’t for the lights, sometimes I can’t tell if it’s on!
The Serenity was not the cheapest computer I’ve ever bought, but I definitely feel my purchase dollars were maximized to buy the best quality materials and service. Yes, it was more than a $ 300 laptop, but quite frankly, a $ 300 laptop could not do what I needed for work – and this new computer can!

I have purchased two computers from Puget Systems, and each has been the simplest, smoothest, and easiest process I have ever done. I have previously built my last three computers, but decided to have one built, and I have never regretted the decision.

Fantastic support, solid pricing, excellent workmanship — I’ve had my computer for a while, and nary a complaint.
The entire process was butter smooth, and even more impressive was their post-​purchase process. Kudos.

As all the other reviews have said, Puget Systems is top-​shelf. I live in New York City but found Puget doing internet searches for a custom computer builder. As promised, the guys at Puget just give you the straight facts, no upsell, no BS, and they really, really know and love computers. Just spend a few minutes on their website and you’ll see what I mean. They will spend as long as it takes to make sure you get the configuration you want and need.
I went with one of their Echo II desktops, because I wanted something small and power-​efficient. The build took a couple of weeks, and Puget has a great online system that updates you as the build progresses; you literally get pictures of your computer as it’s getting built, tested, etc. When my machine arrived it was just what you’d hope for: absolutely top quality and beautiful. The thing is solid as a rock. Entirely crapware-​free, of course. And while I haven’t had reason to test Puget’s post-​sales service in the year since I’ve owned my Echo, everything I read about the company said they are phenomenal in this area.
Puget computers cost a bit more than cut-​rate (usually slightly dated) setups from big name companies, but the quality and service are head and shoulders better. I couldn’t recommend Puget Systems more highly.

5 stars is not enough!!! I bought a laptop for my wife a year ago and thought then that Puget couldn’t get much better… wrong. I just received and set-​up my new desktop and am ecstatic.
Look at all the reviews you’d like, but plain and simple, these people build fantasic computers and their customer service is wonderful.

This is a great company with superior customer service. They fixed my computer when others could not and they didn’t charge me a dime for labor.

This is the place the «pros» like me use! As a systems consultant, when my clients have hardware problems, or want machines built, this is where I send them. And this is where I have my personal machines built.
They combine the strength and depth of a large company, with the personal service of a small company. They’ll fix the gaming machine your son built that doesn’t boot. Or, better yet, let them build his gaming machine in the first place! You’ll have a great, trouble-​free machine! When my clients new new boxes, I send them to Puget Systems.
Seriously, I’m impartial — I don’t get anything in return from them… except the peace of mind that it’ll be done right, the way I want it, and on time.
Don’t bother looking further: you won’t find anyone near as good. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive down to South Seattle, but it’s well worth it.

These guys are amazing! I went in to have my old school Dell diagnosed for a problem and they were more than happy to pull it apart and help me locate the issue. They even recommended some websites and retailers for the parts I needed instead of having them order them for an arm and a leg. These guys are pro’s and can answer any questions you may have. I’ll be heading here to buy something nice when my 8 year old computer finally kicks the bucket.

Puget Systems is AMAZING! They focus primarily on building & upgrading systems, but they also do computer repair. They upgraded my husband’s original Alienware for less than it would have cost him to start from scratch, using the parts that he already bought, plus allowed him to keep his hard drive in addition to the new one so he didn’t have to worry that he hadn’t backed it up before it died.
A couple of weeks later, my work computer was infected with the oh-​so-​lovely Windows XP Internet Security 2010 virus. It’s a pernicious little bugger and my hard drive had to be reformatted. Since my computer is used as the company’s server of sorts, it was really important to get it taken care of in a timely fashion so the company didn’t come to a screeching halt.
I called Thursday at noon and described the issue to Brian, who quoted end of day Friday if we put a rush on it. I dropped it off with Richard at 1pm and got a call at 5:20 saying it was done. I picked it up Friday morning, so we were offline for a total of 4 hours — Thursday afternoon. And all this for the rock bottom price of $ 164!
I cannot thank these guys enough for all their hard work and the most courteous service. No one spoke to me or my husband like we’re idiots, like a lot of techies do. I know my way around a PC a bit and I was treated as such.
