We stopped in to try this establishment on a Friday afternoon during the height of lunch hour. We were seated quickly and served much quicker than I expected(based on the reviews). I ordered the trio, chips and salsa/queso, and a cheese quesadilla for my little one. Our food arrived quick and hot. I LOVED the chicken fajita, Philly cheesesteak, and spicy tilapia tacos. The manger, Matt, was super nice and even comp’d our appetizer. We will absolutely be sure to go back and Brianna is a great waitress if you can be seated in her section!

I went there last night with some friends. First we were headed to WOB but there was 3 hours wait time. So we decided to come next door and give them a try. They were accommodating to our large group. The live music was decent as well. The waitresses seemed new and she didn’t always have the answers right away but she was quick about getting them. Until I sat down and looked at the menu, I didn’t know this was a Mexican restaurant. Still to me, if any, is a fusion place. I tried Korean BBQ Pork and Fried Chicken Tacos. It definitely was not a Korean BBQ but the taste was still good. Fried chicken they used was crispy and was also tasty. I would like to try the other specialty tacos next time.

I really hope a higher up the chain person sees these reviews. This place has awesome potential especially being right next to the new World of Beer. I’ll get to all the bad parts in a sec but I’ll give them their credit where it’s due. The Trifecta combo and the different taco ideas is amazing. The Gyro taco was great along with the Mahi taco. And I thought their queso was pretty good. Altogether, the food was a 4⁄5. Now to the bad things. And again, I really hope higher management sees this because it really sucks we had such a poor experience because of management fails. 1. They ran out of crayons for my child and beans for my dish. And we weren’t even notified they were out of these items period. And when we finally asked for our beans, the waitress had to go back to the kitchen where she found out herself they were out(she had no clue). A Mexican restaurant ran out of beans. This is supposed to be a more family oriented restaurant from what I hear yet they ran out of crayons? And beans are in like half the dishes and they ran out? I just don’t understand how that happens. It just really seems like the management isn’t supplying them what they need to succeed. And the communication is non existent. 2. They were exuberantly understaffed. Maybe 25 – 30 patrons in the restaurant at the time and only 3 waiters/waitresses plus the bartender. Our server was consistently going back and forth. And while it wasn’t busy at all, maybe a third of the way full, they should still have enough staff. Took us 25 minutes to get seated even though the restaurant was 2/3rd’s empty. That’s ridiculous. 3. The prices for the margaritas were very high with no cheaper options or specials to compliment the top shelf margaritas. 4. The kitchen consistently messed up our orders, or our server was messing up. Usually I wouldn’t complain but we had a 7 top and had about 6 – 7 different things wrong with our orders. That’s where it gets to be too much. Again, I hope someone higher up sees this and gets it changed. It definitely seemed as though their lower level management fails them on the daily whether it be understaffing, under supplying, or whatever.

Great place for families, bar is also great for a couples stop, really nice. Food is very good, service is speedy. They had live music on the patio when we were there. My only gripe is the same one for all of the Augusta area — not enough IPA’s…haha. We will be back.

This place is overall pretty good. I’ve been there a couple times now, with different people and I always enjoy my time here. Of note. They have a happy hour Mon-Fri 3 – 6 and then all day Sunday! So nothing on Saturday, which is the day we went for lunch. Their margaritas are pretty good and I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve tried there. My top recs for food: Bbq & goat cheese quesadilla Chop chop shrimp taco Mediterranean skillet — so good, even though you wouldn’t think to order it at a tex-nex restaurant. This place can get pretty crowded in weekend nights and I’m also assuming during big games. They have a couple big screens showing a variety of sports.

I could be persuaded to upgrade this review if I went back and had a better experience. I didn’t hate it, but there were several things that could’ve been better. The service was subpar but this was NOT actually our server’s fault. I am fairly certain that our server had tables on both sides of the pretty empty restaurant. This meant that«I’ll give you a minute to choose» became not seeing our server for ten minutes… too much time when there weren’t even a third of the available tables full. This happened a few more times throughout the meal and I’m sure it is because the server was just taking care of tables on the other end of the restaurant. The food was good, innovative and tasty but not super delicious. We had tater tots with queso which is a great idea, but the queso was almost entirely tasteless against the salty tots. If either the queso OR the tots had been spicy, it would’ve been a better balance. I had a buffalo shrimp taco, no complaints about it– it was a solid representation of «as advertised» and I enjoyed it. I also had a Southern Comfort Taco which was such a good idea on the menu, but the execution was lacking. The fried pickles were SO very salty that it was off putting… and I’m not usually one to think anything is too salty. But the concept was good and perhaps the pickles in the batch I received were just accidentally over salted. I also had a side of rice and black beans. This is where my meal fell apart for me. I ate them but they were SO hot– spicy but not flavorful. Just blow out your palate burning hot. The thing about it is that it was evidently the rice. One of my dining companions had just the black beans and said they weren’t spicy at all. So if the beans weren’t spicy and the overall dish was SO spicy I couldn’t taste anything but burn… that means the rice was just punishing. Not flavorful, just hot for hot’s sake. Again, this may not have been the norm for the restaurant. I wouldn’t rush back in there but I’m not entirely turned off. This was just my experience on an early Sunday afternoon before the church crowd started pouring in.

We really enjoyed them! We went early in the evening so they weren’t terribly busy, the food was good and plentiful. Will go again!

Stop. Read. Do not waste your money. Food is terrible and the service is worse. Hate to say this but there was nothing positive. The waitresses are cute but not well trained. Bar selections are okay but limited. Margarita selections are good.

Check them out after church for brunch on a Sunday. At first glance it looks more like a sports bar than a tex/flex Mex restaurant. TVs are everywhere. No bad seat in the house as far as I could tell. The service was great, our server even brought us complimentary chips and salsa(the spicy one) since it was our first time(there is a charge). We ordered three tacos each with beans and rice. It was good, but not excellent. I had the fried chicken, low country boil, and Asian shrimp tacos. Although the presentation was cool, everything needed a bit more seasoning. I’ll try this place again to see if it was an off day for the kitchen.

Went out with a group of friends here for a bite to eat. Not a bad place. I had the Bacon, Cheese and Ranch(BCR) Casadilla, White Cheese Dip with Chips and a Tall Dos Equis beer(«Stay Thirsty My Friends»). Wife had the BCR and a Tall Margarita. Our Server was pretty good and she made sure everything was done just right. Over all a good place to go eat and its close to a few college kid hangouts(Somewhere in Augusta, The Country Club, Hooters). They have a TVs all over the place as well so you can watch your favorite sports broadcast while you grab a bite or have some libations. So if you are in the area and are looking for a decent bite to eat, Check out this place.

Went this week and ordered the shrimp skillet and some tacos(veggie, pastor, spicy tilapia). The shrimp skillet was fine but cold when it arrived. The tacos were mediocre to not-so-good. Also had a Sunshine margarita that was really sweet. Our server Tim was really nice and helpful, but didn’t seem too concerned when I told him the food was«Meh.» There wasn’t anything really good about the food or drinks or the service. For a $ 40 lunch I wouldn’t go back there.

I’ve been trying to come to this location for a long time but I’m some place else except in my town ! So finally made it. 1st right off the top I asked our hostess if they could make a pitcher of Sangria for us. She asked the bar tender and told me it would be $ 28.00 and you would get about 4,5 glasses out of it. So cool me being the«big baller» that I am ordered it. It was good not too much Ice and plenty of fruit in it. We next ordered some apps. We had 2 orders of what they called The Hot Mess which was potatoe tots with cheese and onions, peppers and came in a small cast iron skillet. We all agreed it was a hot mess and tasty. Next were the tacos I had a Greek taco which was Gryo in a soft taco shell and also a fried chicken taco, very tasty. My visit here was not bad just had to wait a little loner on our tacos but the manager on duty gave us our apps for free and i didn’t even approach him about it. This is a place when every 8 feet there’s a TV so you wont miss any of your favorite game but on Weds at 9PM you need to put on Empire! LOL!

I really enjoyed my lunch here. Server was super friendly and attentive. We even got free salsa because it was our first time there. I like the variety of tacos, and I felt three was a good meal size. We ate pretty cheaply with a coupon. I got a Greek taco, some Asian spicy one, and the third was a chicken one the waitress recommended. I’ll definitely go back. We got in and out fast, which is important because this was during work day :) That being said, was NOT able to try the drinks.

Went here with coworkers after work on a Wednesday. The restaurant was fairly empty, which was good as we were sat immediately. I ordered«The Hot Mess» — tater tots topped with pulled pork, coleslaw, bbq. It was really good. I also ordered the Korean BBQ nachos. They were ok but but was mostly just chips. The server was attentive and made sure we didn’t need anything. The drinks here are semi expensive — $ 9 for a magarita — but we’re good. Definitely not the place to go for a cheap drink. All in all, I’d go back when I don’t mind spending a little extra.

I would have given this place more stars but it was pretty annoying that they«ran out» of certain items on the menu. I ordered a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup and the waitress comes back and says they’re out. Then my husband orders a Stella beer and that’s also completely out. I forgot what the rest of my party ordered but it sounded like whatever they wanted, those items were unavailable. Come on! So I ended up ordering one grilled steak taco and oh my gosh it was actually available! It tasted okay… somewhat on the spicy side but not too bad. My husband ordered the Hot Mess and he said it was okay. We had chips, salsa and guacamole and they give you a pretty big bowl so it was filling. Service was okay, the waitress was polite and kept apologizing about how some of the menu items were unavailable. The great thing about this place is that their military discount is 50%! Wow. That’s the most I have ever seen at a restaurant. I may give this place another try and hopefully they won’t run out of food this time. And this was on a Monday evening and it wasn’t too busy.

Thought we’d try this place since all the fuss of the newness has worn off. We ordered the fried jalapeño and fried pickle combo with spicy ranch as an app. This was really good but small plates would have been nice so we didn’t have to eat from the tin since everything was piping hot(a bonus). For an entrée Mister ordered a BBQ chicken quesadilla dish and I ordered a shrimp fajitas skillet. Our dishes made it to the table and as soon as it was placed in front of me I knew something was off. My food was in a skillet but it was lukewarm. I expected a steaming hot sizzling dish but it wasn’t. And the rice mix was bland. Now the backstory is that Mister often accuses me of thinking that seafood is bad when he thinks it’s edible. I don’t play around with food. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, cut a small piece of shrimp and the taste was fine until I bit the other piece and the aftertaste kicked in. I think that maybe the lime, seasoning or the grilling disguised it a bit but the smell and aftertaste most assuredly was not fresh. Now Mister smelled the dish and I knew for sure that I wasn’t crazy because he never smells anything I say is bad but this he did. The waitress(she was a sweetheart) also smelled it and offered me something else but I just asked her to take it off the ticket. It kind of left me not wanting anything. On a brighter note, I did get to taste Mister’s dish and it was actually good. Unfortunately, it’s not a bright enough spot. Mister enjoyed his dish and I think he secretly hopes I won’t ban this place on our list. I won’t be running back but he may be able to drag me.

The food was decent. My tacos were pretty good. Very American tacos. My sangria tasted like fruit juice. The guacamole was good. But the chips not so much. They put too much season salt on them to make them enjoyable. Now the reason for the 2 stars. The service was horrendous. The staff was nice enough. But 1 guest got their food 15 minutes before everyone else. I drank one glass of water and that was it. No refills. We had to ask. Anyone who had a special request on their meal… got deliver something they didn’t want. I. e husband ordered no onions or peppers… he got onions and peppers. Friend orders no beans on her salad… she got beans. I might give this place another chance if I was in a pinch.

Meh. I’m with Natasha. Tried Tin Lizzy’s. It was fine. We went because we wanted to sit outside. We got the last available table, which lets just say it’s not an awesome table. Right by the door coming outside, and at the time we were there the sun was blazing right on yo us with no option to tilt the umbrella. I was holding a menu over my face. Servers noticed and jokingly stood in front of the sun for me– but no one offered to move us when another table became available. I finally went in and asked. They let us move, but one hostess seemed like it was a bit of trouble. We didn’t have food yet and we only moved 2 down. Or server was friendly, could have been more attentive. We had to ask for more water and tea twice. Food– we had a fried pickle appetizer, which was good– but too salty. I then ordered the chicken nachos. They were okay. Really skimpy on the chicken, and almost all of the queso was on the bottom of the basket. The chips had very little on them. What they had plenty of was the special seasoning. Meh. Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure they left off the black beans… My friend ordered one small taco. She said it was good. It was soft shelled with what looked like one piece of Fried chicken and some lettuce. I didn’t get a good look. We both had skinny house margaritas. They were fine. It was a limited menu– which they will serve until after Master’s week. Maybe then the«flex-mex» will get better.

So, I tried it out. I wasn’t disappointed, but not impressed. Tin Lizzy’s looks like it will be a popular watering hole on Washington Road. Currently, they have a limited menu for Master’s week. I may visit again to see what the full menu consists of. During my visit, I had guacamole and chips. I’d give them a 3. I had a margarita, I’d give it a 3. I could taste the margarita mix. I had a glass of merlot after ditching the margarita. I’ll give it a 9, you can’t go wrong. If you want a place to hang with friends and enjoy the sun this spring and summer. I’d recommend it. The parking is okay. It’s located on a very busy road in the city, so be prepared for a lil’ traffic. Oh, the staff was really nice though. Our waitress was very talkative and attentive. The place was crowded because it’s new to the area. I’ll likely visit again after the hype dies down.
