If you have an antique automobile that needs regular service, this is the spot. A recent move to Aurora left me without a convenient shop to maintain my 60s Buick. My daily driver needed a few minor replacements and various services performed during my first month in town. I was very impressed by Brian’s knowledge and the care that he took with my vintage Buick. Whether you need performance upgrades, general maintenance, or just an oil change, Brian’s Auto Service needs to be your first and only stop.

Without even knowing me, Brian jumped in and helped me out in a pinch. That one simple act has earned him a repeat customer… The appearance of his shop shows his love of the craft of auto maintenance, repair and restoration. Will add more comments he works on my cars in the future.

Great mechanic. Reasonably priced. Very busy. My car is my baby. I love it so much I don’t even like people sitting in it. They might fart on the seat or taint it in some other silent but deadly way. Brian is the only mechanic I trust to work on my car. He may not always answer the phone but hey he’s a busy man.

Trustworthy, Honest, Reliable, Proactive … Buzz words to some but as for Brian’s Auto in Aurora, those words really do apply! Won’t go anywhere else and although I trust them, don’t go there. (tongue in cheek)! Really, really, I want him all to ourselves, just us few that know a good mechanic when we see one.

Brian at Brian’s Auto Service is the most honest hard-​working excellent mechanic I have had the pleasure of working with. We bought my daughter a used 1998 Beetle about a year ago. Older car but reliable transportation to and from school. It began having an intermintent starting problem that became a hassle and finally jumped the shark when it failed the IL emmissions test. Who do I take it to? I researched the web and called a couple places. Most wanted big bucks just to look at it and the $$$ were adding up quickly for a car worth only about $ 2,500. We took it to Brian’s Auto Service based upon write ups I saw from VW owner’s Club recommendations. Brian was able to diagnose the starting problem and repair it along with doing what it took to pass the emmisions test for under $ 300. I know it is difficult to compare apples to apples when looking at auto repair but this was a great experience. So much so that I felt compelled to sign up and make this Unilocal review. You won’t get a waiting room with a TV, coffee and water bottles, but you will get honest excellent repair at a reasonable rate. On a side note, the repair lot had some vintage toys that people were having serviced. It was fun just to look in and at some of these autos.

I drive 45 miles to have Brian work on my car — even if it’s only an oil change. He is the best mechanic I have ever gone to. If he detects a problem I know he is being 100% honest with me and his prices are lower than anyones. I’ve been with Doctor Brian for at least 15 years. No one else will touch my car!

Beside’s the dealership or myslf, Brian is the only person I trust to work on my car and do it right. I’ve taken our vehicles to Brian on a few different occasions when I either haven’t had the know how or time to do the repairs myself and his work is always top notch. He’s even managed to schedule me in a last minute pinch. I’ve had him work on no start issues, brakes, wheel bearings and every time the repairs have been done on time and at or below the price he quoted. I believe the first time I went to Brian was for the wheel bearings on my 2000 Ford SVT Contour, the dealership wanted more than $ 700 for both. I about died! Brian came in well under $ 400. His prices and the fact that he never suddenly «finds» something else that has to be replaced is what has sold me on using him for repairs to my vehicles. The car always comes back just as clean as I drop it off, no grease on the steering wheel, seats or anything. He even takes the faceplate off my stereo and hides it out of sight when my car is there, as this is the only time it sits outside.
I would refer this shop to anyone at anytime, and actually have!
