These folks are good, a little out of the way but worth the trip. My wife’s car had a few dents and scratches and they did a perfect job making the SUV look almost as good as the day we drove it off the lot (it’s a 2007).
Nice folks, eager to make sure your expectations are exceeded. The car was ready when promised. They will be my first choice if I need bodywork done again.

I actually discovered AAR from a brochure at Onion Creek VW while waiting for an oil change. I was hit in a parking lot on my rear left quarter panel and I went to my usual Auto Body place I ordinarily go to who have always done good work but take a bit to get the vehicle back. I took a chance and got a second estimate from AAR and they were a bit more, but after going through my insurance that point was irrelevant. Micheal was awesome, his staff, eveyone seemd to go out of their way to get my car on time and actually noticed a spot I had been hit a year or so earlier that was cosmetic but I hadnt thought about geting it done. AAR offered to give me an estimate to fix the area on my front bumper and not only did they give me an amazing price on the repair, they basically didnt charge me for a small paintless dent repair either. I will use AAR and recommend them any time I need body work. Great work, and the customer service was incredible. They’re my auto body shop from now on without any doubt.

THANK YOU SO MUCH AUSTIN AUTO REFURBISHING! THIS BUSINESS DESERVES YOUR BUSINESS MORE THAN ANY OTHER MECHANIC/​BODY SHOP! I had my g/​f take my Camry in to put in a door handle that was broken. She then mentioned to the mechanics that my trunk latch didn’t work. So the man crawled in my trunk, took apart the lock and got the piece that was stuck in it out so my trunk works now! They could have just stopped at fixing my handle, but they went above and beyond, by also fixing my trunk latch that hasn’t worked for months! These are the kinds of things that businesses do for customers that really show genuine care about their business and the customers that they serve!

I called AAR based off Unilocal reviews I read and asked them to drive out to see my car and give me an estimate. AAR was there in the same day, faster than the «second opinion» I got, and gave me an accurate estimate based on a comparison between the two (both are highly rated in Unilocal). The guy I spoke with seemed like a real straight shooter, which I appreciate.
For irrelevant, other reasons, I ended up having my car towed to a different collision center. However, mercy forbid I have to go through this again, I wouldn’t hesitate to give Capital City a try. My initial experience with them was a positive one.

Last month, after a series of non car related unfortunate events, I managed to total my car that I have had since I was 16 and it broke my heart. After many go arounds with insurance we came to an agreement that if I wanted to take responsibility and have the car fixed, I could.
I called several places around town to try to get them to come to the junk yard and give me a quote. NO ONE would meet me out there. Finally, I found on
Austin Auto Refurbishing, who within 20 minutes of my calling met me there to give me a quote. I decided to bite the bullet and get my car fixed because I love it more than anything.
Without going into too many details, they went above and beyond. I got my car back on Friday and I could not be more thrilled with the work completed and the overall service that I got.
The reason I wanted to share is because in the last year I have had a few car problems and I have really been jerked around by some places. This is the first time that I feel confident in the work done, what I paid and from now on that will be my go to shop in town. I think being a girl in my early 20’s finding a reliable place to take my car is much easier said than done. Getting back my car completely made my summer as the memories it has are truly priceless and I am so thankful for Austin Auto Refurbishing

Someone came around a corner and smashed into my Husband’s truck a few years ago. Michael Aguirrie and his guys took great care of it for us and fixed it up good as new. They were so helpful and fast, he was back to work in no time! Then another time, a Client of my Husband’s came out of their garage and backed right into him without even looking! This was his new truck and he was so dissappointed. Again, Michael and the guys took great care of it and we were as good as new in no time flat. Great service, nice people, highly recommend!

I got into a car accident and even though I lived in Austin for 3 years, I really don’t know any body shops. Austin Auto Refurbishing was recommended to me by Groovy Automotive. The location and surroundings of A.A.R looks shady but has a very «home owned» feel to it. I admit I was turned off at first but when I walked and scanned the office, I immediately saw the BBB sign. I felt more secure. The guy was friendly and helpful. He told me to get old parts because it’s cheaper and no one will notice the difference. He also offered a good discount. During my visit, their computer crashed but I was very pleased to find an estimate in a PDF file emailed to me within 30 minutes. The estimate was very detailed, it was like «estimate for dummies”-very clear and simple to understand. They ordered my parts after a deposit. The parts came the next day and I immediately dropped off the car. As promised, my car was delivered on time and the cost was as expected. My car looked as if nothing happened, and the work done on the car (fixing a broken bumper) was flawless. I am impressed. I recommend this place if you need body work done on your car.
